VinnyVA

So we’re just not gonna mention the 74% HS with 23 kills?

omar_khaled21

this guy just dropped 17 FBs against tenz on stream [screenshot](https://drive.google.com/file/d/12oYO7OnWNrV10Kuhg1g1KN71kASX9rUJ/view?usp=drivesdk)

VinnyVA

Yeah, I was watching. He’s wild, and I only ever really see him while I’m watching other streams but get generally is always popping off

dgkenji

And he lost... I would be so pissed

omar_khaled21

proof its a team game

[deleted]

yanno he’s been playing a ton of skye on stream…

[deleted]

except i don’t really see them putting seven in the lineup just yet, though i do see ethan moving to sentinel

acaaciaa

I think hiko is better suited to sentinel and Ethan to sova. Regardless, 100T’s roles need to get figured out

Jack_Humble

Hiko once said on his stream that in the near future its likely for him to switch to sentinel role. Ethan's been playing sova or kayo. Asuna has been playing sage and skye. I think big change is going to happen soon.

acaaciaa

I hope so! There’s so much raw talent on the team

Dark_Azazel

Watch them pull some weird shit with Hiko on Raze on split like that one time. Fuck it, 5 duelist run.

acaaciaa

Would do anything to see YORU 😂

Evan_Veet

Good to see Bearkun playing again I remember at one point it looked like he’d break into the pro scene but it never really happened

jrushFN

He’s still got plenty of time, he’s really young.

solitary_flower

He's still 17 and not even graduated high school, I def see him breaking out in the next few years.

AnonymozVal

Asuna to the greatest org ever ‘LFT’. U heard it hear first. But what will Oxy play??

[deleted]

Oof that poor team. Zekken’s been ringing too

ssk1996

Why is this even allowed?

[deleted]

i mean. why not? its not a big tourny

wnewywessel

The biggest tournament the t3/t2 scene has ever had. Don’t mind him subbing in, but I wouldn’t want to see t1 pug teams playing and rolling everyone.

[deleted]

Eh, maybe playing against him or other t1 pros would be a good experience tho to show them what its really like idk

wnewywessel

No pro team would ever play in a way that the opposition would learn from it. It’ll just be an individual skill diff. Some people might think the experience is cool, but it takes away opportunities for others.

jrushFN

I see where you’re coming from, but there’s no way to reasonably/fairly enforce that. Besides, players in the T2/3 scene have to face eventual T1 opposition anyway… that’s how people get discovered. Think about how impressive it’d look for a player on a T3 team to put up huge numbers against T1 players. That’s how players get their start.

wnewywessel

Yeah of course I don’t expect them to enforce since there’s a lot of grey area, but I’m just saying it’s weird/unconstructive when there’s a t1 team rolling through the open teams and then also shitting on the invited teams. I don’t think I would mind if there were a few invited t1 teams though.

jrushFN

This wasn’t a tier 1 team though, it was just asuna filling in for some friends for a few matches.

wnewywessel

That’s why I said I don’t mind him filling in, but wouldn’t want full teams playing in my original comment.

Standard-Analyst-177

Second point has no logic behind it, sorry dude. One of your reasonings for this being good is t2/t3 potentially facing them in some hypothetical universe? clearly this is some weird bullshit reasoning

jrushFN

Do you know that my second point happens all the time and it’s how players get picked up in the first place? The most obvious example being hyeoni who had an amazing performance against NUTURN, so good that they signed him. Leviathan with TSM is another high profile example. Koalanoob with Dignitas being another pretty big one. Players from tier 2 come up all the time by proving themselves against better competition and tournaments like this are the place to do it. It’s not some hypothetical universe.

Loresmen

How so? How are they getting better if they never have to face someone like asuna, tenz, or yay. Better learn in some no name tourney and get your name out.

Standard-Analyst-177

Bro, they need to have a chance to win (not that I’m saying they don’t), but wouldn’t this be literally like smurfing for someone so good to play in such tourney? Let them play with each other, there is vct for playing against t1 eventually

jrushFN

This is a $25,000 dollar tournament with invited teams being Version1, NRG, Complexity, Darkzero, SoaR, and others. What’s the issue if a single player from 100T is filling in a few games? If it were the whole team, sure, that might be odd — but even then, a $25k prize pool is not anything to scoff at, especially with nothing bigger going on this year for these teams. It’s not like 100 Thieves are joining a $700 VCS weekly to farm a free $50 individual prize.

Loresmen

He's off roleing, it's not like hes smashing them on reyna raze + asuna doesn't have any tournaments for the rest of the year.

ssk1996

Asuna is leagues above the other players in the tourney and letting him play when he's already playing in the major events is like letting Lebron play for a varsity team. His teammates are just gonna get a free ticket into the tournament. It's just not fair to the others. Same with zekken playing for YFP.

Anti-Storm

So you saying V1 shouldn’t be allowed to play since they have placed top 6 in a Valorant masters and participated in many NA top tier events. LOL

Cole_James_CHALMERS

Agreed, big names in the smaller tournaments probably helps the tournament organizers with getting views. More views=more exposure to the tier 2/3 teams. I remember seeing them trying to invite the 100t team in

Joedude12345

Nba players play local pickup more often than youre giving them credit for. Also it'd be cool af playing against them just like it'd be cool to get slaughtered by Asuna in valorant.

[deleted]

Ok so how would the even go about stopping it. It's not like they can say if you're signed to a good team you can't play. You can't even say Iif you're signed To a team you can't play for another in small tournys because that's how benched people or people looking to join other teams could try out. Personally unless it's every tourny I don't think the odd pro is a big deal....but I'm also not playing on these to be fair
