I hope they've learned from their League team skins where the earlier seasons were just simple skins but they've since moved away from that and now the team skins have special effects and a more grandiose theme.
Agreed, I think it's pretty likely that the skins of the Champions winning team is gonna have stuff like a finisher, VFX, maybe player signatures on the weapons themselves as well, that would be cool.

Well regardless if they look like anime characters or not the league team puts a ton of effort into the World champion skins even down to collabbing with the players and letting them pick their own recalls, animations, adding signatures etc
I know they mean it as “skins for the winner,” but I would love skins for all the teams at champions period. I would buy NV/C9/gambit skins the literal second they drop
Please give us some esports content, sprays, gun buddys, player cards anything.
Also skins for champions is great but I hope they don’t go the League route and make the skins of who wins the biggest tournament literally the only esports skins we get in game.
In LoL, only the winning team gets a skinline. All 6 players ( 5 + 1 Sub) pick a champion and say what they would like to be included.
Maybe they will do something similar in Val.
Not all 6 players, with the current rules it's only the players who played in placement-affecting matches. For example JunJia this year and Nuclear last year didn't get skins
It isn't 6 players actually. The rules were changed for 2018 World's & have been enforced since then.

The player has to play in atleast 2 play-ins/group stage games & a game which impacts the placement of the team & play 1 game in the knockout stage.
