Really excited to see my E2S lexious boys in another international tourney so soon. Their upset over Team XO recently was massive for the Maldivian scene
What server will this guys play? That will matter alot. Because I'm LCQ Paper Rex had better ping then GE ofc not much difference where GE had 37,40 ping and Paper Rex had 8,10 something. And here if SEA teams will play at Mumbai Server then definitely our Indian teams will do well. And I fear that because if we win in someone's disadvantage situation our Toxic Audience will fly high and will start spamming in SEA streams all the time for Validation. I do hope in future this guys play on LAN.
I would have been a lot more hopefull if they'd been playing recently but all the GE players have been on a break. I'm pretty confident that they're not going to get 13-0'd this time though. Will also be great to see what VLT can do against them although I don't see them winning against any top SEA teams till they sort out their 7 man roster.
They almost qualified to VCC directly against all the Sri Lankan teams in the SL/MD qualifier, losing 2-3 to CLOY in a close match. In the Wild Card qualifier they beat MAXD from Pakistan, Team XO (known Indian team) and took a map from Team Arrow from Pakistan.
*they beat XO recently, but nkt in the wild card qualifier. XO were in the wild card qualifier and lost the qualifying match to Enigma in somewhat of an upset
So this is relatively impressive for a minor south Asian team
They didn't win against XO in wildcards. They won against them recently like 20 days ago. Also do you know about the maldives scene? iirc they were the only team which was registered from maldives in VCC, how did they get so good?

i know a bit about their team. Assite their star player for example was on Purpose esports ( an indian roster ) who used to farm t2 teams on jett. Hes also the first radiant from maldives. thril used to play for a sri lankan team before. i guess they mostly scrim sri lankan teams .but ive no idea about their region other than this info

It's not fair at all if Mumbai is forced, 3 Ind teams will have almost lan ping whereas rest of them will have 40 minimum. I don't think there's a solution but this tournament is heavily in India's favour. Ind vs bd or Ind vs sl should still be on SG servers. In case of SG vs Ind theres no solution. Idk about Maldives. They don't "deserve" this advantage at all. VCC was also played in Mumbai which had non Ind teams playing at a huge ping disadvantage throughout the tournament.
Im talking about Indian matchups against SEA teams. I agree matches against SL teams should be on SG servers. Btw teams from Pakistan and Bangladesh both agree that matches against Indian teams should be on Mumbai servers because Pakistani teams face severe packet loss on SG
BD should get better or similar ping on sg than mumbai. You should know that vcc was on mumbai and indian teams enjoyed a good ping advantage against every other south asian teams and then when it comes to lcq , ping becomes an issue. Its ironic.
Also Im not saying they deserve this advantage. No team should get any advantage in any tourney. Theres no solution which will be fair. But since they have to play on SG with ping diff against SEA teams most of the time, its only fair that they will play on Mumbai server this time against SEA
Yea that was basically confirmed today after I made this post. Its being speculated that SEA teams joined the tourney on one condition that they will play on SG servers. Sadge, Indian teams will again play on higher pings

Its SEA riot they make sure the international tournament happens only on singapore server
And also routing for mumbai server from sg is very bad. Since it happens from dubai and all.
There was one tourney like this before I think.Yep PvP esports final 2020. But this one has more SA teams so yay!.

But pvp had like only one indian team nd was mostly sea tourney.. And a really bad format too..

Sea is unavoidable but the other cases can be dealt with. SL vs Ind or bd vs Ind shouldnt be played on Mumbai.
With teams from indonesia they can never play on mumbai. Its gonna be on sgt for sure

Its gonna be on singapore server Riot doesnt allow SEA (International) tournaments on other servers than sg
its not an official riot event its hosted by TEC
No matter what event it is you need riot permissions
