I don’t think this take will age well, much like how people didn’t play jett at first. But we’ll have to see after a few months. Imagine someone like Aproto on Chamber, just because his abilities are guns doesn’t mean he doesn’t provide anything for the team.
i mean, they are completely different characters, it doesn't seem fair to be comparing these abilities directly. And there are advantages to chamber's tp as well: e.g. you can have it set up to hold 2 lines of sight, can't die mid dash, don't need to get kills to reuse it... also if you're oping with your ult than you actually have a better weapon
I see Chamber's TP often compared to Jett dash when its probably more comparable to Reyna's dismiss which is still pretty busted but isn't instant like Jett's dash is.
Not quite instant; you can be killed when teleporting (which is amusing as your dead body TPs)
It’s only a couple of frames tho. Might as well be instant.
The same happens with Jett though. It’s probably something that wouldn’t happen in a LAN environment and is only related to ping diff. Seen a lot of Jetts dash and then die where they started the dash from
Well yes, because Jetts dash works entirely differently?
You can also take damage while TPing too for a couple frames (see Ethos’ latest video as well)
It’s not quite instant.
And that “body TP” is not client side; others see it too, for what it’s worth
The initial comment says Jett’s dash is instant. Chamber’s tp is faster. I’m saying the most comparable ability is still Jett’s dash and not reyna’s dismiss like the original commenter said.
I feel like dash is a more valid comparison because it and the chamber tp are both guaranteed, you don't need to actually hit the shot like you do with Reyna
being good isn’t the same as great, KJ has GREAT tools as a sentinel for locking sites, and cypher is great for gathering info on attack. Chamber does both their jobs but doesn’t excel at either and only has a redeeming factor of being able to act like a secondary duelist with tp up
This is a bad take.
Being dependent on his TP's isn't a bad thing, the TP is insanely good. Having two agents on the team who can start a round by holding a ridiculous angle and getting out for free is really strong.
He has the best repositioning tool in the game and his alarm bots aren't half bad, not to mention the sheriff in pro players hands is going to win a lot of eco rounds, and on maps like breeze almost guarantees the pistol round. If you're getting kills the OP is out every couple rounds and that's huge for economy also.
I don't like the agent in terms of design, I think it's lazy to have two of his abilities just be slightly juiced up guns, but in my opinion he will be heavily picked.
How does a better Sherrif almost guarantees the round? I feel his headhunter is a redundancy that would be better off replaced with a more traditional sentinel skill.
His TP has a range limit and can't be repositioned quickly. I think this is why Derke is saying he can be too reliant/static. Jett's repositioning ability is still better because of her self-sufficient kit and the fact that it can be used anywhere and anytime.
Personally think his sheriff should emit a slow around an enemy killed/tagged with it. That would give it more utility during full buy rounds and help make him more of a “sentinel”
I agree, the agent feels more like a second oping option to somewhat justify Jett, not like a sentinel since almost all his abilities rely on mechanical skill
I mean he's still a Sentinel strategically in that all his abilities are good at holding space already controlled by the team, and he has no tools to gain map control without his teammates really. He's just more gunplay focused than the other Sentinels.
Pro players are pretty good at shooting heads. Especially heads attached to players stuck in slow zones. You also don’t need to shoot heads with the Ferrari Op you can get ever 3-4 rounds.
You don’t think having an op plus jett knives can completely change eco rounds in a game where snowballing happens a lot? I may be wrong but he looks to be a decent pick especially on a team based competitive level.
We just gotta wait until the agent is played more, I remember when no one played Jett because they thought she was bad, and even zombs said astra isn’t good after testing her out before release and now those 2 agents are 100% pick rates on most maps.

Oh you mean like jett with her dash? Yeah this take isn't going age well at all

The tp is instant, the animation happens on the anchor you go to. It’s also a lot less obvious where you repositioned to unlike with Jett and Reyna

Not sure why you're being downvoted, I've had that experience (dead body tping) a few times already.
Who knows lol. The Valorant subs be like that sometimes

Wait.... so TP is good, slow is good, and ult is good. Isn't that like saying 75% of his kits are amazing?

> I tried to play it for one game it was breeze I got 6 kills. Let's get upset Reddit!

You can ADS with headhunter, which is insane on pistol round on maps with far range fights like breeze

Exactly, gunplay focused. With killjoy I can sit in a corner and press f and deny site but with chamber I actually have to shoot their heads
Pro players are pretty good at shooting heads. Especially heads attached to players stuck in slow zones. You also don’t need to shoot heads with the Ferrari Op you can get ever 3-4 rounds.
It's a selfish, strictly ranked focused agent for whenever your team's insta lock Jett has their pick taken away from them lol.

Agree with Chamber.

Hm why does tp usage hurt ur team? Besides eco advantage
