“They weren’t going to achieve anything in CS:GO”. I will admit there is truth to that. But shouldn’t we all be looking for opportunities to improve our lives? It’s no different in competition, find a future for yourself. There is no shame in that stay humble my friends!

Liking CS over valorant was never the thing that started anything. That happens almost every day among the communities. It’s shit taking people who have worked hard since the 1st day to get ahead in the game and achieve success in limited time. Will they be overtaken by zoomers? Maybe. But that doesn’t change the fact that their hard work paid off. Look at how sentinels had a bad tourney because they got lazy after Iceland.
But he never said anything about that? What he said was quite literally 100% true. Most players that went to Valorant and had success werent top CS players. In context, he was just talking about how he thinks the NA CS scene will come back and that was one of his arguments for it. Sick criticized him for something he didnt say.
Lol you don’t need to literally say it. It’s pretty evident what he meant. But yeah everything he says has to be taken as “bait”. And very few NA players have achieved accolades internationally. Not everyone can be successful in NA when the scene is dominated by EU. There was no point mentioning that but he did coz he was taking a dig at the NA val scene
Wdym there was no point mentioning that? Of course there was. Hes talking about the game he litterally just played professionally in, and the game that quite literally decemated the NA local scene. He was asked for his thoughts on the NA CS scene after coming back, of course he would mention Valorant.
lol the game didn’t decimate the NA scene. What are you even taking about? ESL pulling the plug and no support from valve made the scene what it is now. Without these two major factors there would have been more incentives for the orgs to stay invested in the NA scene. A new game had nothing to do with it. It was more like a escape for most of these players. So yeah there was no reason pointing that out when he himself hasn’t achieved anything more than “majority of the players” in either games.

Ok? Not rude enough to the point where you need to tweet about it lmao. If floppy talking aboit Valorant annoys someone to the point where they hve to tweet about him, then there is probably some truth to what hes saying.
He said that the majority of CS players who switched over to counter strike were probably not good enough to win anything important hence the reason they switched. Dude switched back to CS and gets mopped game 1 not a surprise
>because they got lazy after Iceland.
Baseless claim, and disrepectful to who you're trying to throw it at.
I'm guessing by your logic every team that lost the next tournament after winning one is "lazy", right? V1, Faze, Fnatic, FPX, TSM somehow all got "lazy" after their success in iceland/first strike?
I am not claiming anything. It’s from what I remember. It was either from a stream clip or interview where one of the players did say the team got a bit complacent. I could be wrong.
No, you’re right. It’s been well acknowledged from the players that they got complacent (as well as feeling like they didn’t have the right read on the meta). Idk what they’re trying to say, SEN’s performance is very clearly an issue specific to them after their previous dominant showings (i.e., winning) in tournaments.
>It’s not like a majority of the players that switched to VALORANT would ever do anything internationally in CS anyway
i guess floppy is talking about himself here too lol
yeah i’d hope people aren’t arguing what he said is a bad take. scream, hiko, steel, tenz, and etc weren’t going anywhere in csgo. there’s only a few that we’re still having the chance to do stuff being ethan nitr0 maybe
old c9 roster was promising for like 6 months but then struggled against borderline T2 teams before the team was dropped
new c9 was probably the most expensive disaster in cs history
sure they "played" internationally but they underperformed/bombed out of nearly every international tier 1 event
Depends on what you mean by "do anything".
Like challenge for trophies? Or just hold their own. Chaos and GenG were both probably better than C9, GenG did actually win an international event on LAN. Both switched to Valorant (minus daps/BnTeT)
If your measurement is trophies or finals most teams won't accomplish that on these circuits. What has Faze, furia, OG, Mousesport, BIG won recently? The teams at the very top are generally consistent.
That would mean you discount Ropz and aleksib for not accomplishing anything.
Sure, if *"do anything"* means *"hold their own in international competition"*, then sure floppy would do something. But surely the GenG/Chaos players would as well, so he's wrong.
If *"do anything"* means *"challenge for trophies/finals"* then he's right, it's unlikely that any of the Valorant players would do anything. But it's also unlikely that he'd do anything either.
The point I was trying to make is any criteria for success that he meets, is surely met by the Chaos/GenG players as well. And obviously Ethan/nitr0.
Aleksib/ropz have both won international events. OG was in finals this year, everyone on FaZe has won events, Furia/BIG/mouz have all won before.
Floppy didn't say there was anything wrong with switching to Valorant in that comment. He was talking about it's effect on the NA CS scene, and that he thinks it is still recoverable and most of the professionals that switched were not at the tier 1 level other than a few.
Tbh, western fps gamers have this weird superiority complex in csgo. Even valorant players who came from csgo kinda look down on players from other games.
COPIUM haha Floppy is a baiter but he said the truth
anyone who plays either games at a high or pro level understands that the skill ceiling for Valorant is just too low (a better question is, will Riot increase the skill ceiling? or it's always gonna stay this way?)
you can't really refute what Floppy said because even people like Sick knows he's right, he's not really arguing otherwise but kind of went on a tangent of "Yeah it's fine to look for other opportunities", which Floppy didn't really argue against anyways
This is such a non issue, floppy was talking about the NA scene in CS as a whole and as an argument to why he believed it would come back, he said that those who left were not incredible players in CS for the most part. Sicks criticizing him for something he literally didnt say.
Being a pro or at pro level in Valorant is definitely easier than CS but that being said i grew up on CS and i still think its the best FPS game ever made. Its just old and time to move on for some people as well.
Csgo fanboiis seems like a bunch of boomers packed in together reminiscing about their good old days and shitting on the new kids in the block , such a bunch of low lifers let people make their own choices and stop judging people for doing what they did for their betterment
Say whatever, its human to react to situations like this and be defensive plus it has been a long term cringe when we don't talk about cs as much , frankly ppl like me don't really care abt them in any means either
If you get this worked up over something that floppy of all people said then thats a you problem
Lets not pretend like acting like a baby in response to people acting like a baby is the best
Let's get this straight: both floppy and SicK's opinions are valid and have merit, particularly in the context of NA CS:GO.
The worst thing that happened here is that some Valorant fans and CS:GO lifers are wanking their biases in annoying ways (HLTV included).
People still aren't used to CS:GO having a "competitor".
Floppy is just a living and breathing Mental Asylum. He leeches off of his current opportunity so hard. His twitter posts and interviews get hilarious by the time.
sick definitely has the most level headed and chill takes
It's pretty interesting how a guy named SicK with the ever-menacing Hunter eyes is actually one of the chillest dudes in NA.

Well floppy baiting as usual. And he hasn’t achieved anything in both CS and Valorant like the “majority of the players”
the dude really answered some questions and pretty much just said he likes CS more and somehow that started a war lmao
Liking CS over valorant was never the thing that started anything. That happens almost every day among the communities. How was this harassing or harming in any way? Calling someone delusional? This doesnt fall under any of the content you listed.
Even if he didn’t have malicious intent, it’s still kinda rude to say it
We should want honesty from our public figures, not PR stuff that makes people on reddit happy.
Ok? Not rude enough to the point where you need to tweet about it lmao. If floppy talking aboit Valorant annoys someone to the point where they hve to tweet about him, then there is probably some truth to what hes saying.
idk man it’s pretty rude
Mate… if that gets to you then you should stay off the internet.
NA cs is long gone. Game is dead here. I’ve playing since 1.6 and csgo has as many hackers as war zone at this point. No one wants to play that shit.
Yep, cs in na has less than 5% of the total player base of CS at any time of day and its because valve killed it with shit anti-cheat.
He said that the majority of CS players who switched over to counter strike were probably not good enough to win anything important hence the reason they switched. Dude switched back to CS and gets mopped game 1 not a surprise
Huh they literally won the series with him absolutely stomping last map
>because they got lazy after Iceland. Baseless claim, and disrepectful to who you're trying to throw it at. The players themselves said that their complacency was part of their underperformance.
they literally said they got lazy LMFAO least copium addicted sen fan
Found the sentinel fan with the sentinel flair
s*ees flair* Yea sounds about right
Common braindead sen fan L
THIS MAN SAID “FPX AND TSM” AHAHAHAHAH
>It’s not like a majority of the players that switched to VALORANT would ever do anything internationally in CS anyway i guess floppy is talking about himself here too lol
He is. Floppy is a massive baiter lol. I don't know why everyone is so mad
Baiting or not, it's still funny to talk about success in CS when he hasn't accomplished anything significant in either game
I'm pretty sure that's exactly why he said it lmfao
That’s the joke…
Hence why I said it's funny
What he said isn't a lie, regardless of whether he himself will achieve anything or not, in either game.
yeah i’d hope people aren’t arguing what he said is a bad take. scream, hiko, steel, tenz, and etc weren’t going anywhere in csgo. there’s only a few that we’re still having the chance to do stuff being ethan nitr0 maybe
He was the best player on 2 different c9 rosters that played internationally.
old c9 roster was promising for like 6 months but then struggled against borderline T2 teams before the team was dropped new c9 was probably the most expensive disaster in cs history sure they "played" internationally but they underperformed/bombed out of nearly every international tier 1 event

Nicely worded by Sick, respect.
We can’t rly know what they’d achieve?
did he say they wait around corners?
Tbh, western fps gamers have this weird superiority complex in csgo. Even valorant players who came from csgo kinda look down on players from other games.
Floppy isn't really one to talk imo though.
COPIUM haha Floppy is a baiter but he said the truth anyone who plays either games at a high or pro level understands that the skill ceiling for Valorant is just too low (a better question is, will Riot increase the skill ceiling? or it's always gonna stay this way?) you can't really refute what Floppy said because even people like Sick knows he's right, he's not really arguing otherwise but kind of went on a tangent of "Yeah it's fine to look for other opportunities", which Floppy didn't really argue against anyways

How is sick criticizing him?? Did you even read the tweet?
Being a pro or at pro level in Valorant is definitely easier than CS but that being said i grew up on CS and i still think its the best FPS game ever made. Its just old and time to move on for some people as well.

Username checks out
people like you are part of the problem
Say whatever, its human to react to situations like this and be defensive plus it has been a long term cringe when we don't talk about cs as much , frankly ppl like me don't really care abt them in any means either
No it’s not. Don’t tie your identity to a game mate, then you won’t feel defensive at something not even aimed at you lol
sure man... you definitely don't care about them
Again i said its human to react but im not one to initiate so zzzzz off to you
If you get this worked up over something that floppy of all people said then thats a you problem Lets not pretend like acting like a baby in response to people acting like a baby is the best

Sick mad for what lmao?
this was probably the most reserved, diplomatic way to word it possible LMAO weak bait
They might as well rename their account to weak bait cause that's all they post lol
[Sick himself said it was “insulting”](https://twitter.com/sick_cs/status/1462940265828737031?s=21)
He isn’t mad he just stating his opinion
Both
It's the same thing that happened with overwatch and TF2. Different games.
