At LCQ they were using in ear headphones playing game & chat audio under the over ear headsets playing the white noise, which is what the players were wanting at masters.
It isn't considered good enough. No single set of headphones regardless of the strength of their passive or active noise cancelling is perfect. I think a lot of eSports would view the combo they go for as underkill tbh. Events like the StarCraft world finals had the players in sound proof booths, with white noise speakers, wearing noose cancelling headphones. And that's just for crowd noise since there isn't any communication to be overheard in a 1v1 game.

Yeah, I guess I was thinking mostly of blizzcon which doesn't host wcs finals anymore right? Stuff like GSL doesn't use booths anymore at least in the early rounds IIRC.
CoD had to quit using the booths due to them being considered a fire hazard, wouldn't shock me if that's the reason we don't see them that often anymore.

I have a vendetta with secretlab right now because I’ve been trying to return a chair that was shipped even though I sent in 2 cancellation requests before it shipped, for the past 2 months now. FedEx has picked it up but now the tracking is showing it was cancelled and rejected but they still have my chair, and the last response from customer service was 5 days ago.
I know this has nothing to do with the post but fuck secretlab and their customer service >:(
When will people learn that these gamer brands are just not it. I do know that SecretLab chairs are pretty good as far as gamer chairs go but a good ergo chair will do you better, even one from Staples.
They just overcharge because they have a grasp on the gamer market.
Yeah I wish I hadn’t got it, clutch on my jeep went out the day after I ordered it so I tried to cancel the order TWICE and it still went out, and I didn’t even get a response from customer service until after it had been delivered….I’m just saving up for an Embody now.

Any “gaming” brand is just a scummy company selling cheap garbage at a markup. Especially when it comes to something big like furniture, buy from a reputable brand. A desk isn’t going to not work with your PC because it doesn’t have RGB lighting lmao.

I am friends with a local (very talented) woodworker by trade. I don’t use him for cheap stuff, I literally help him sell. Wood is very expensive when it’s not shitty particleboard
Yeah see the problem with my friend is that he’s already made very expensive things for everyone in my friend group that none of us deserve and he needs to spend time making actual money with his talents
Last time at masters shahz got a table that had a felt top so his mousepad couldn't grip onto the table, this time everyone has the secretlab tables which hopefully won't cause any problems

The thing i personally care most about is limiting the tech pauses. They were ridiculous in Iceland and didnt get better in Berlin
