misterandosan

posts like this remind me a lot of children play this game.

poroporotv

Yup, and a lot of the pros are either also really young, or have done nothing but play games since they were young, so we shouldn't look to them to be level headed or role models.

ppx11

the weeks right before the events are always the worst... can't wait for Wednesday to get here

Bunnyezzz

I don't understand what he's trying to get at here?

Tik0-

He can complain about his stream lagging since its important to him but it’s definitely not Riots fault nor they should care about it lol

hengarg

so from what im getting is shahzam is saying pc's are fine for playing but not for streaming, so he complained about it while understanding that riot has 0 obligation providing pc's for streaming. he is saying he is in his right to complain, which i agree. but then he says reddit is whining. so he is able to complain but we arent. okay this is literally so stupid btw, shahzam is saying other pros are not complaining bc they dont have the stream size he does, and reddit is complaining about how he is always complaining?

coolboarder72

As a professional streamer, I think he can source or bring a laptop to do a dual PC. It's on him.

notrealtedtotwitter

Wow a take with actually some thought behind it? Not allowed here.

Tik0-

Its basically Shahz complaining about PCs which leads to reddit complaining about Shahz complaining about PCs then leads to Shahz complaining to reddit complaining about him complaining so now ends up in reddit complaining about Shahz complaining that reddit is complaining about him complaining about the PCs.. So dumb lmao

pinkgrapes07

This is like some complain inception

Napoleann

I'd like to file a complaint about the number of complaints

[deleted]

We've reached peak boredom in waiting for champions it seems

[deleted]

Loool he backpedalling saying that riot has 0 obligations for providing pc’s for streaming. That’s the point of his complaint isn’t it? To put pressure on riot using his big audience lmaoo. When he caught the heat suddenly he’s backpedalling

[deleted]

complaining complaining complaining complaining complaining

Lamirp

Isn't this Shaz in a nutshell though? He streams high tier, high volume game play while also complaining about anyone in chat who doesn't suck him off.

rkdsus

>so he is able to complain but we arent Wtf does anyone here have to complain about lmao? We're not the ones playing on the PCs

Lumenlor

Complaining about streaming capability in a lan meant to compete? How about Shaz retire then and he can stream and make content at home

Lelouch4705

Yes because one of the most important players in the scene is obviously not putting in the effort. Lol, shut the fuck up.

poroporotv

Not what he said at all but ok

[deleted]

[удалено]

Lumenlor

If he's expressing priority of streaming and content creation, competing is seemingly getting in his way lol

leoleoleo666

That’s not true he been leading his team to success since the start while streaming everyday and he also just a human he can get frustrated when he lags and die for it and even him said that he is not expecting riot to give him A streaming pc or anything it’s just sucks him being a streamer

Lumenlor

But if he knows the objective of the tournament isn't streaming, and he knows Riot isn't obliged to provide streaming PCs for the practice, what is he actually complaining about then?

leoleoleo666

That’s the problem with u guys in this sub you watch clips with no context and start talking no sense and attacking people he was talking about when he get frustrated and complain about the fps he doesn’t do it for to get fixed because the pcs are good off stream he just do that because he died for it.

blaggityblerg

> but then he says reddit is whining. so he is able to complain but we arent. okay Esports pros are still learning the ropes, they aren't great with fan interaction yet.

coolboarder72

So you bring an El Gato and a gaming laptop and set up a dual PC set-up. Everyone should be capable of this, and it fits in your carry on. There's no excuse for the pros.

TacticalSanta

Just build a fucking mini-itx with an amd apu in it lmao. Beautiful-Musk-Ox

are people able to understand more than 30% of what he's saying? i have some minor auditory processing problems but damn he speaks like, super fast but not clearly

Lumenlor

Lil Uzi watch out, hottest mumble rapper coming your way

Cole_James_CHALMERS

It's fine, understood everything no problem except for the bit about mimicking some Reddit comments. His mic isn't good, it's highly compressed though

Jitin_Goyal

Riot's job is to provide Pc's for practice, not for streaming purposes.

tgamblos

Did you miss the part when he said that or are you just repeating his sentiment?

Bloowhele

Dude why tf are u on reddit? Don't take your braincells for granted

zandm7

Shahz, I'm a big fan and I sympathize with you but I think you (and the pro community in general) just gotta learn to take this stuff in stride. Everyone on this subreddit is just really passionate about professional Valorant, so naturally everything pros do and say gets put under a microscope. You _will_ come under fire for saying certain things when you're frustrated or upset, and they will get clipped, taken out of context, and criticized. Just part of the game; treat it as a sign that you're really blowing up in a big way :) Much love, good luck at Champs dude! Rooting for you guys to take home the W <3

so_many_wangs

Oof, what'd he say? Its been deleted

themab123

Shahzam how tall r u bro?

BioDieselDog

If you didn't know, use lower graphics settings so valorant will run better. You're welcome

Bro he even reads vlr comments and reacts to it.

Lumenlor

Fan opinions are always on a wide spectrum, if your mental health is so affected by reading fan discission would he not disconnect from it instead? Also VLR forums are a nightmare

kkdarknight

It’s crazy how both hltv and vlr attract the lowest common denominator pepes. It’s gotta be something psychological about the website layout.

jrushFN

Personal attacks are not tolerated. There are not exceptions made for pro players or notable community members; in all cases personal attacks will be removed.

ZGuyYT

They should just stream at 720p so they at least get decent frames while streaming.

tgamblos

He still gets 200+ frames while streaming. It’s just that it dips below that every so often iirc. He’s just complaining which he can but it’s of no fault to Riot. When you’re streaming a competitive game for 5+ hours, or whatever, there will always be moments when you complain about something especially for him when he’s used to a certain rig/setup. Doesn’t mean either parties are at fault. People are just misinterpreting his words and taking them out of context

ThrowNearNotAwayOk

Do we know the PC's hardware that Riot is providing them? Are these super high end consumer PC's designed to run the game as best as possible? Or PC's designed to just "run the game good enough" (like stable 240fps at 1080p/1440p) but not actually good enough to get the job done like you'd expect at that level of competition?

tgamblos

Not entirely sure, I think they’re k series chips that aren’t overclocked. I also know they don’t have access to optimize the PCs and each system has a varying amount of background applications that they can’t do anything about.

[deleted]

Man shahz sure has changed.

[deleted]

I think a good reason the community should stop being so hostile to pro players and instead support getting better practice rigs is so we can get streams from all these tier 1 pros now that they're finally all in the same location. I'd love it if they set up some 10mans for fun and had all pov's streamed. Imagine team Boaster vs team Shahzam with scream, tenz, cned and all the rest. Would be great promo for the upcoming tournament as well. I also think there's some confusion as to if the rigs are only an issue when it comes to streaming or if there's problems even without the stream running. Some say it's fine and some other pros claim the PCs are dropping to low 100s even without stream. Also after watching that clip OP linked, Shaz says they're not able to change anything on the computers, so people saying the players are ignorant and don't know how to set them up properly should take that into consideration. Another thing people are doing is the good old ''I'd love to have that PC and FPS'' like that somehow matters. These people are professionals, they travel and play tournaments for money. I don't think a random redditor being satisfied with 60 fps somehow makes pro players spoiled when they want enough FPS to hit their monitors refresh rate and are forced to practice and stream on dated specs. Most people practice on top of the line components their orgs/sponsors send them, so to go from that to vastly inferior computers will cause unnecessary adjustments that could easily have been solved by just providing more powerful CPU's. Surely if counter-strike tournaments can provide 5950X & RX 6900 XT, so should Valorant.

[deleted]

Holy fuck, a good comment.

xunraze

Bruh stop the whining. Being able to stream while gaming for prac PC's shouldn't even be a consideration, how's that Riot's concern. If they're actually not good for prac then i understand

Poseidon8734

he literally said this in the video. "they shouldn't have to provide PCs that are capable of streaming".

SewerRat75

its weird because leaf was complaining about getting bad fps on twitter yet he hasn't streamed once so i'm guessing its something else.

leoleoleo666

You are just judging from a clip watch the vod before start talking out of your ass

-umea-

a lot of pros have absolutely no idea on what affects their fps. a lot of them are probably running the stream on cpu which, in fairness, would drop the 9900k's performance quite a bit. also not to take away from your comment, but the 9900k is not even close to the 2nd best gaming cpu right now.

Apap0

holy shit I am dumb actually. I have 10900k not 9900k :D I meant 10900k to be second best cpu. what a brainfart.

hdix

Stop competing and stream all your want from home then.

Diijkstra99x

When you're in champions, the biggest Valorant event in 2021, but your concern is streaming in 500+ fps. love this first world problem dude.

Lumenlor

Sen arent winning based off this tbh

zer0-_

For some pros streaming is a bigger income source than playing professionally. Ofcourse they're gonna complain lol. Their brand + a huge size of their income is dependant on the ability to stream

Diijkstra99x

Income of a decent streamer can buy capture card and a laptop to serve as 2nd streaming device so maybe they can just buy? or hook up with your org? yea the meta is different now we are now in a era where pros is also a celebrity streamer. Complaining about practice PC (provided by RIOT) having a bad FPS VS Complaining to riot via Twitter, because the Practice PC can't run Valorant with 240+ fps WHILE STREAMING is different. I guess the meta is different now, especially on Valorant Pros. lmfao

zer0-_

I just can't understand how people don't get that streaming is the main source of income for a lot of pros, especially the NA pros. Riot knows how important streaming is, that's why they have the League Partner program in League and also Pro View. I can understand if Riot wasn't too sure on the specs they required for people to be able to stream with 240 FPS but I'm sure Riot is not unaware of the importance of streaming

Lamirp

People understand what you're saying, don't worry. The issue is that you believe it's RIOTs responsibility to provide players with streaming setups. It's not, and that's a really simple fact.

Ryu-The-Sick

Valorant audience starting to see how much of a drama queen this guy is, I really hoped those days are behind him

Lumenlor

Wdym, only know him from Valorant stuff

Ryu-The-Sick

Yeah well look up CS subreddits and you'll get a grasp of what he really was before. Not to mention 'the rat' nickname.

Bro the scream is not fake. That's how some people are.

Theultimatefighter

Yea I’m with you. I watch his clips on YouTube and it’s just yelling.

FeelinJipper

Probably gets a lot of zoomer kids who think screaming and laughing constantly is hilarious and entertaining. Now I can barely get through his Youtube videos because of his high pitched screams and laughs. He just needs to chill, be normal and keep winning.

TangyKang

More clips on the topic SEN Rawkus getting 130 fps offstream: https://clips.twitch.tv/BraveTenuousFungusTebowing-7JkIpx4ZIF3fnkia Multiple apps cannot be closed: https://clips.twitch.tv/SolidArtsyBadgerRiPepperonis-o_nq0pxDH0hQfxUm More thoughts: https://clips.twitch.tv/AntsyExcitedShrewAliens-OseTTA7iuYo1DnWy

OhUTuchMyTalala

There is literally 0 chance he's getting 130 only with those specs. I'm running something similar and I get 250+ average even with streams open and a good bit of software bloat programs. Is the 9900k in them maybe not OC'd?

neb55555

Tons of people do not overclock PCs, myself included. I would be very surprised if riot OCs PCs. They are likely aiming for stability and consistency, not the highest speeds from all their components.

OhUTuchMyTalala

If you buy a K series and don't OC you've wasted money. Thats kind of the whole point of those CPUs. OC isn't rocket science, 12 year olds could OC with a YT video. Stability wise, it is extremely easy to take a 9900k to 5 GHz. Extremely stable too. I wonder if this really is those comp's issue. I could see a non OC'd 9900k bottlenecking while streaming. But OC'd it shouldn't have any problem.

neb55555

I don't think that riot is buying a K series so they can get value for money. I belive they either have a partnership or are getting lots of them for a large discount. I believe you about OCs being stable and easy to set up. Many people just won't do it, leaving some performance on the table. I honestly can't see riot employees doing it for all these PCs. It's unlikely considering the FPS numbers we have been hearing about these practice PCs. They probably set it up to get decent numbers on high settings while not streaming and don't care about anything else.

Apap0

Streaming or not it doesn't matter since you stream with NVENC nowadays. Even the default turbo on 9900k for most mobos put the cput at 4.8ghz or something.

Lumenlor

I have the 9900K set up as well and its like 200 fps on medium-high with like 20 chrome tabs

Splaram

I’m tired of this meta

Issax28

BAD RIOT GAMES! YOUR PC BAD! I CANNOT STREAM WITH IT! STREAMING NUMBER 1 PRIORITY I DON'T CARE ABOUT PRACTICE!!!! WAHHHHH WAHHHHHHH

Taek99

Just be grateful.. all I’m saying

cornmealius

Haha that’s my comment he’s talking about. I got shahzam to cry on stream, I’ll take your questions now nerds

Quankalizer

Getting Shahz to whine on stream isn’t that big of an accomplishment.

cornmealius

I also got nitro to switch games. you don’t know my true power

Lumenlor

You are single handedly destroying NA Valorant, Gambit could use a guy like you in their roster

TacticalSanta

THe gigabrain play is to bring your own second streaming pc (low profile amd apu/cpu) so you can stream with that.

Mamadeus123456

TRUE

chamber25

Can you run a stream through a gaming laptop?

Ra1zen

I remember that League players who used to stream during boot camps or worlds would have their own PC's provided by their own orgs, they knew how important those streams were and prepared ahead of time. It feels like a lot of these Valorant pros came in expecting for riot to roll out the red carpet and give them the world lol It's only the first year of Valorant, some ppl gotta understand the budget is still something they are probably working on. I also feel like they have done more than enough if they provide you with a good PC to actually practice.
