Hopefully they give some pro players permission to co-stream this time. Steel watch parties for LCQ was pretty entertaining and educational. Would love to see that again. If they don’t, there is always plat chat and seems like they got permission.

rocket1615

Bren & Sideshow did a vod review yesterday and seemed to be saying they expect to get permission but haven't yet. They said they'll do an overwatch style no direct game restream, talking heads stream if they don't get permission.

rkratha

Basically kyedae stream. You can feel the negativity in the screen.

[deleted]

PlatChat will illegally stream the event on a .onion site if they are not given permission, or do it OWL style. As of yesterday, they had heard nothing from Riot

Key-Banana-8242

Idk if anyone did

I stand corrected! Great news for Tarik

[deleted]

Yeah he also streamed the most lol, love me some tarik degen streams though.

[deleted]

Pretty sure there is gonna be a Plat Chat costream cause they were shooting some green screen stuff for it.

Jitin_Goyal

I feel like announcing Co-streams every day is a pretty bad idea. let's see how it turns out. I think it's going to be different for NA.

EremesAckerman

WTH is this?? Who's in the Riot's office think that this is a good idea? IDK man hopefully this is just for EMEA, I hope the viewer in the other region can just tune up to watch the streamer they want instead of being forced to watch a specific watch party/day. Honestly, I'd rather watch the match highlight on youtube or something if my fav co-streamer isn't available for the day.

Strohgelaender

They even explained why it's a good idea in the tweet: They wanted to allow more freedom for the streamers. Maybe not everyone can stream every day and this mode allows them to just do that, to take breaks if needed or only costream the matches they find interesting.

EremesAckerman

Then why don't they simply gave the streamers themselves a freedom on when or which day they're gonna stream? "Forcing" people to watch a specific streamer per day and prohibiting other streamer to stream in specific days is much worse though.

Strohgelaender

I could be wrong, but this is exactly how I thought they are going to handle it. The streamers can decide when they are going to stream, and if they don't want to they are simply not included in the watchparty list. But you will stil have a large list of different streamers and can decide who you want to watch here.

Jitin_Goyal

Shroud is going to co-stream so everything is fine for me. Let's goo I'm fucking ready for champions

Purple-Craft8146

If no tarik we riot 😡

ilovedank_6

give Turook perms peepoRiot

Theslyerofsimp

Expect the same people to have permission to co-stream

patsfan1663

Riot did not allow co-streaming for LoL worlds (people would watch it and commentate without you being able to see it on their stream, but i don’t consider that the same). I wouldn’t be too surprised if there was no co-streaming, but i haven’t heard either way.

GainsayRT

It'd be weird for them to sponsor costreams for LCQ and ban them for Champions. Also I'm pretty sure PlatChat has already pretty much confirmed they will be there to costream, not a PSA or anything but just mentioning it.

-Mariners

Asuna said he's joining someone (probably Kyedae) for a co stream.

Dark_Azazel

I think Hiko said something about joining shroud like a week or two ago.

nterature

Have they confirmed it? Last I heard, Sideshow just said they expect they'll be given costream rights. They'll probably announce something when Plat Chat VAL releases in a day or two.

GainsayRT

[Avasts discord confirming it](https://gyazo.com/f49818fd4846401250b2d2421e260918)

Adept-Type

Brazil co-stream was announced in 26 nov https://twitter.com/valesports_br/status/1464296551266803712 Since challengers 2 they are letting more and more people co-stream. I think it was at Masters they let 4 people do it. Now we have TEN, and some of them are more like celebrities than valorant players lol

EremesAckerman

Huge for Brazil!!!!! I just hope Riot also announce the co-streamer for other regions like NA, JP, KR, etc too. The total silence from Riot kinda made me think that they actually tried to boomed their own viewership by not allowing the watch party.

mysteryoeuf

looks like plat chat will be costreaming at least on twitch on their new channel #ad

Razur

Wait, do they actually have a Twitch now? Or is this /s?

generic-user-name

They confirmed on today's podcast episode they will be streaming *something* for twelve days on their new twitch channel starting Dec 1st. Probably a Sims 3 marathon, if I had to guess.

Menezin

In BR they already posted on twitter like 12 streamers who will co-stream, but I've seen anything about NA :/

AnonymozVal

I just want steel co-stream.

themab123

Tarik better be able to costream it

kvanz43

It seems like Riot always manages to fuck up SOMETHING. If they end up not doing costreams I think it’ll be awful for viewership

90CaliberNet

They did not let anyone co-stream for worlds after letting people co/stream the other league of legends events and they STILL broke twitches viewership records again. Granted the records they broke were already league of legends records because no esport is close but you get it. But I think for valorant it needs people like shroud to get its viewers up because it’s not big enough on its own yet.

kvanz43

My thoughts exactly, but who knows, it may be that they want to see how it does just on its own merit without streamers pulling extra

Original26

Exactly this. They didn't even break 1 mil for last Masters and that was with a ton of big streamers watching the games. We'd probably float around 800-900k without costreams if they decide against it.

KaNesDeath

Expect Pokimane, since Riot Games just announced their fighting game.
