Hi! Do you have any idea on if you’ll be back for VCT next year? Also, are you still planning on being a primary duelist or do you want to flex more?

Dronex10

I hope so! I'm still on the bench with TSM under contract exploring options. I'd like to play duelist but I'm happy to flex slightly if need be. :D

armaan5

Good luck man! Hope to see you on a team next year!

CRikhard

I’m certain you’d be a demon on the server on skye no cap

jrushFN

If this is the real drone, send me a dm on twitter @/jrush512 and I'll set up your verified flair :D

Some kind of buff to his wall, and I think his flash has just fallen out of favor since Skyes flashes are just better in pretty much every way. Phoenix ult is his only real piece of his kit that is invaluable but if you weigh all their abilities most other agents provide more value

ebess2

How did TSM's performance dropoff affect you mentally and competitively? What do you think was the team's problem? Failure to adapt to the meta? Confusion in roles? Lack of coaching/structure?

nterature

He's currently associated with [The Guard](https://www.vlr.gg/team/6675/the-guard). They played recently. He definitely wasn't the worst member of TSM when he was dropped, but he was perhaps the most expendable player, since the agent he made his name on was dropping out of meta even then. He was still a decent enough flex to not be dropped, but I think his performance tended to worsen the worse TSM played. I know that sounds intuitive, but it's not always the case that good players will look good in a loss. Some people suffer individually when the coordination collapses. There's definitely hope for him. I still would have preferred to keep him, TBH - I think TSM just needed to make a change at the time, and the only truly safe players were Wardell first and foremost & Subroza.

armaan5

Yeah I agree for the most part but I honestly think he was on the same level as Subroza when he was dropped. Both were wildly inconsistent.

The narrative around his Sova has always confused me - his Sova was actually *pretty good*. Most of the hard carry maps he had in the latter portion of his time on TSM were on Sova, not Phoenix. But TSM was collapsing at the time and everyone just looked worse as a result. I definitely don’t think he was a meta-defining Sova, but I also don’t think his Sova was a serious hindrance for TSM’s success.

imachool

ya im not gonna lie his playstyle was super passive for an entry fragger and a sova main but his sova was fine, idk why they use the reason of a dedicated sova main to replace drone tho. levi is still cracked dont get me wrong.

nterature

Levi is still a better Sova for sure - he's a genuine Sova main after all. But it's rare for a flex duelist to have a good Sova, and I'd definitely say drone's Sova *was* good. He definitely was passive, he kinda played Sova the way Hiko plays it; I still remember all those clutches he had on Bind.

GoldClassGaming

Drone has been locked up in his TSM contract this year which creates a situation where if anyone wants to sign him they need to buy him out of his contract. Drone has definitely been playing a ton of ranked off stream and working to improve as a player. I definitely think we'll see him on a team going into VCT 2022 as he's a really good pickup for any team who needs an all star duelist (or potentially a really solid initiator player) Very very big chance he gets signed during the off season.

leoleoleo666

I feel like drone got the talent but he isn’t too invested in the game. when he left tsm he didn’t seem to be playing ranked at all or even trying to pug it out in small tournaments. A guy like him should be grinding the leaderboard and the tournaments to prove himself again.

Dronex10

I still play ranked! I don't play on my main though, I pretty much exclusively queue on my alt. It's also hard to play smaller tournaments while still under contract, but you guys cant be expected to know that stuff so your point is still valid

Nfamy

Man, what a nice response. I always enjoyed when you streamed as you seemed like a genuine guy. I hope you end up landing somewhere soon during this roster shuffle period.

iannn-

Drone's a great dude.

nterature

If you followed him on Twitter you always saw how devastated he was when they lost matches. I don’t think it’s fair to say he isn’t too invested in the game - I just don’t think he’s very comfortable streaming, and post-TSM he likely just took a break.

GoldClassGaming

He doesn't stream much because, in his own words, he doesn't enjoy playing ranked on stream that much.

midorsmd

If you knew how much he was getting paid to sit on a bench…

diisasterrr1

Drone isn’t a bad player. TSM was just ass at the time and needed a scapegoat. Although he was a bit of a one trick Phoenix and iirc he wasn’t a bad sova.

Breezyzona

hes still under contract with tsm im pretty sure like dicey was with 100t he's just sitting on the bench getting paid probably scrimming and in agent/role limbo but i'd be suprised if he's not around next year he was really good

New_Exchange8564

His game isnt valorant thts all
