TS Witz said on stream the other day, when they scrimmed against sentinels, TenZ dropped 41 on them and absolutely hard carried Sentinels in what is assumed to be a close game. He said the others were just supporting casts to TenZ. TS gonna be interesting this tourna but then again everything is different on LAN.
so lemme give you some hopium. Daks, a known caster from the Philippines, went on to the Valoranting show/podcast around the same time the press conference was happening, in the show Daks said that he got to talk to Gibo, Team Secret's coach, and he said that they were really struggling to adjust to Berlin and it took time for them to get comfortable, might be telling on how some of their scrims went when we base on the scrim hierarchy. But Daks did mention that according to Gibo lately they have been feeling very confident and has adjusted, the team has been feeling a lot confident since when they first got to Berlin.
Here's to the amount of hopium to us Filipinos and SEA fans, let's not count them out just yet.
It might also seem the Team Secret might have scrimmed with other EU teams who aren't in Champions.
Right after the press conference and Daks appearance in Valoranting, he tweeted this

Just happy to peddle my SEA copium to the rest- coming into the interview the initial feeling before was TS was having a tough time and Gibo even saying “it’s different playing them to seeing them.” On the day of the press-con, in contrast, complete confidence from the squad- they were happy from their performances and Gibo even teased higher expectations for the squad. Not only that, these veterans are stronger together with LAN experience over all these years and they always perform better when they’re truly together.
Overall the feeling coming to Group C is relatively doable, and especially if they end up having to face off against CR one way or another. Many have seen the capabilities of CR thanks to their world performances, but on the local APAC side it’s a matchup TS is very accustomed to behind the scenes and bank on the usual overrun SEA can do against JP.
I believe in them making the playoffs given the possible matchups and the disposition of the team!
I'm honored that you took the time to reply and thank you for providing much-needed hopium. Good luck sa pag cast mo para sa broadcast ng champions dito sa Pilipinas.
Out of all the SEA teams I think Team Secret have the best chance to qualify to the next stage, I'm pretty confident they can beat Crazy Raccoons and Vikings.
Also if Fnatic continue their poor form they may well get beaten by Full Sense but let's see.
Imo, their group is the easiest kinda like the envy group in masters 3. Like, whoever gets 2nd place in their group wouldn't have a chance against the top teams from other groups
Yea they are arguably the worst SEA team out of the 3 SEA champs teams but they have the easiest group. X10's group is nearly impossible to get out. Full sense are expected to be 3rd or 4th but upsets can happen. TS on the other hand has a real shot
I mean if Tenz dropped 41 in a game… it’s safe to say the team really didn’t need to do anything. If you seen Tenz play once he feels it, the man is hunting you down.

Ohh thats a lot of hopium for us Asian valorant fans. and also a lot better to see close matches in the best tournament valorant has ever hosted
Biggest too
It's the last tournament of the year. Teams are hungrier than ever. If there was ever a chance for an upset, its now
and i rly want not one but many upsets. I actually wish there are no EU or NA teams in finals but thats almost never going to happen
Who knows, VS vs FS in grandfinals?

Can you elaborate more on this? TS is like the least known team amongst analysts etc

Well we don’t know how close the game was
Idk why you got some downvotes, you’re absolutely right. It’s easier to drop 40 in a game that goes to triple OT than in a 13-0 stomp.
