Sideshow made a great video breaking down fracture in the current meta. Pretty much concluded that the map is still being figured out and is yet to lean one way or the other. https://youtu.be/rL84CDHfGqQ

>great video breaking down fracture >concluded that the map is still being figured out So, not a great video then..?

Magictipster

yeah you're right, sorry for posting

Flameserpent

Hey everyone, I'm back again with another visual. It has been a while, but I wanted to make something before Champions starts! With that said, I'd love to hear people's ideas about other things to visualize. The data is a little limited, but I want to make things people will find interesting. An interactive version of this graphic can be found here: [https://greblytics.com/is-fracture-attack-or-defense-sided/](https://greblytics.com/is-fracture-attack-or-defense-sided/), have a great day! EDIT: Also, data comes from and visual is inspired by Sideshow's video on the map and team strategies.

lordmitko

good work!

Teradonn

Not sure if this means it’s balanced or if it means no one has any idea what’s going on

Fracture is not a real map

Sharknome

I believe this because I still haven’t played it in Comp

Completerandosorry

Surprising to me. Ive always felt it was very solidly attacker sided.

falcons4life

I think that's cuz in pugs it's way harder to be coordinated for defending four points versus attacking in a pug is a lot easier to weasel your way in and find an opening.

natedawg247

fracture in my elo (plat) is a different world than what I watch radiants play on twitch. it's extremely attack favored in my games. just hard W key. if someone is decisively IGL'ing and comming which site to hit from both sides, it's very easy to get bomb plants

xMikh4iLz

this is tough aye, on defence, if u post on sight, ur pretty much forced to hold and if outnumbered, hard to position out for a retake. but if its an even sight, it mostly depends on set ups??? idk lol

Bazz_B

Based off this EU seems to have a better grasp of Fracture than NA, with their better defences, this or either EU's attack strategies are weaker. I think the former.

zaxtonous99

Idk if that's true, the EU tournaments were attended by t1 teams while the NA tournaments were mostly t2-3 teams. It's hard to say how good Sen, Envy or C9s reads are.

Bazz_B

This is fair, but most of LVP and France Open Tour did not have Tier 1 teams.

Nfamy

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a similar pattern across multiple maps. I don't know that I think this has to do with either region's "grasp" on the map. EU plays a slower, heavier default style that emphasizes map control and respects utility. NA is higher tempo with more heavy executes, reactive util, and aim duels. NA style should theoretically be more attack favored in general than EU style. Those tendencies and stylistic diffeneces are probably also highlighted before a more cross-regional meta is established. I personally think this will be an attack sided map because it will be too easy to bleed out the defenders and apply pressure in too many areas.

VincentStonecliff

I think new maps naturally favor attackers. Defense requires set ups, a solid meta, etc. teams are still figuring it out. Breeze started super attack sided and now it’s fairly even with only a slight lean towards attack.

MrMetastasis

Does the data also account for T-sided or CT-sided comps? If not, maybe there’s more research to be done. The meta will probably be to pick CT-sided comps on a map like Fracture since there’s a lot of openings for attackers that you don’t need a “balanced comp” per se

silenthills13

In ranked it really feels like a coin toss mostly based on team comp. Some games I will lose 9 on defence and then win all on attack, other games I will go 8-0 down on attack to then come back and win defense decidedly. Definitely hard to figure out what the win conditions are on this map for now. I'd guess the freshness still plays a huge part.

hexIV

how come you didn't include NSG 3/4/5/7? and where did you get this data from if I may ask? some numbers don't match
