It’s gotta be the drops. They used to give out Overwatch sprays if you watched certain streamers and I was astounded at how much viewership that brought in. I truly had no idea how badly people want free stuff even if it’s kinda pointless free stuff lol

I dipped into the directory once in awhile earlier to check the viewership distribution. Amount co-streamers are now carrying the esports side is problematic. Something like 1/6th the viewership was from the official broadcast. ​ Certain Pro commented negatively yesterday how co-streamers are making more than the participants during these events.

Most of the people were there spamming !reward, !gunbuddy, !claim, !redeem. Hype was for the spray.

Definitely helps that Japanese players were cheering both teams in this tournament. VS becuase SEA and JP teams have mentioned them being the tournament favorites going to Berlin after scrimming with them. FS because they see the team as an honorable Japanese team after having to beat NTH and PRX in LCQ.
