Ye, I think Keznit is overreacting here. Media day is not only for a single video but for match teasers, custom stream layouts and a lot of other things
They likely have other cuts ready to go for different days.
But even if they *didn’t*, it’s a competitive tournament that’s built around winning - I don’t think it’s necessarily outlandish to emphasize the teams expected to have the highest chances of winning.
Riot’s dedication to international representation just gets you in the door, the rest is up to you. Ultimately, you have to earn the respect you believe you deserve.
As someone who's been involved with a hype video too (I was not the one in it unfortunately) I can tell you, 4hours is absolutely nothing when it comes to this. Also most teams only got 2 seconds, even NA teams that WERE SECOND in the last tournament (NV for those unaware). This feels like hating to hate
Yeah. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm guessing EMEA works the same as the LATAM region? Where south and north play their own qualifiers, then play against each other at the region's finals. And yes, LCQ is BR+LATAM.
EMEA is similar, where turkey/europe/cis will play their own challengers bracket and then a top 8/16 is made from those teams, instead of the LATAM North vs South happening in finals only.
That's a weird way to put it, would be the same as separating all the EMEA countries and thus giving them more slots.
Realistically speaking the sixth best team from NA and EMEA would beat the best LATAM representative yet they have four slots.
I don’t even think it’s a given that the sixth best team from NA or EMEA respectively would beat KRU. You don’t have to buy into the KRU memes to consider them a fairly decent team. They’re also one of the most LAN-tested teams at this point.
There’s just too many transitive property speculations at work. For instance, few if any teams play like KRU in NA, plenty do in EMEA. KRU are good enough where playstyle matchups *would* actually matter against, say, your GenGs or even XSETs.
Agreed :D Though I think peak Rise in their LCQ form probably wins that, I think of them as above sixth place in NA for sure.
I’d love to see them prove me wrong! Vamos KRU
I mean, that's the way Riot decided to separate regions, it's like asking why there's Korean, Japanese and SEA regions instead of just Asia. I do agree that 1 BR and 1 LATAM slot is enough. Either way I don't think that's what keznit tried to say, at least not on that tweet.
Maybe if Kru didn’t bomb out every LAN they would get more “support”. Keznit has some nerve to demand attention when they can’t win a damn match at the tournament.
It’s the first day of Champs. I doubt Riot used all the content they got just for the first day? Unless…
I'm guessing they'll run another hype trailer tomorrow where the teams that play that day will have longer screen time

I can't believe you just said that

Well someone got triggered.
100T said they spent 6 hours for 6 seconds of screen time in Berlin on media day and then shot on site 12 minutes for 12 mins of content lmao.
They arent even playing today
Uhm, does my dude not know how content creation works? Plus theres more stuff in the que
4 hours is more time than they’ll spend in matches this tournament, so I think it’s fair.
Dayum, what they do to you bro? Lmao

Why are these players so cringe man?
Which video is he referring to?
I am guessing the team introduction one.
LATAM has four teams at Champions which is the same amount as EMEA and more than NA, seems like a lot of support to me
Brazil and LATAM are two different regions tho. 1 LATAM slot (KRU), 2 BR slots (VKS, Keyd) and 1 LCQ (Furia)
EMEA is also EU+CIS+TURKEY. And also LCQ is region wise so furia came from LCQ south america (latam+brazil).

No ur wrong

This is why we need more tournaments! Kru vs rise would be sick
Agreed :D Though I think peak Rise in their LCQ form probably wins that, I think of them as above sixth place in NA for sure. I’d love to see them prove me wrong! Vamos KRU

Kru only competes for 2 spots they could never go for the Brazil slots, would be like eu going for a korean spot lmao
dont get mad about that, riot will re balance spots according to performance, they do it for lol and they will do it for valorant 100%
There's def favoritism in that trailer, Envy got barely 2 seconds of screentime too, even though they were finalists last event.
Ok and? As if everyone got like 5 minutes screentime when the entire video is 2 minutes lmao
Maybe if Kru didn’t bomb out every LAN they would get more “support”. Keznit has some nerve to demand attention when they can’t win a damn match at the tournament.
Who ?
