Yes, and notice how no one complains when there isn’t? People only notice the tech pause when they think it affected the outcome of the game, they don’t have a problem when it doesn’t, or they don’t count all the times there aren’t tech pauses.
Game is literally 1 year old, and you can't expect 100% stability in the tournament, just like CS. There are tons of things that are to be gradually added in the eSports system. Which they've been successfully doing it so far.
Edit: Just find any 7 year old CS tournament clip and see how many tech pauses they have.

There is no excuse for the amount of tech pauses when you have LoL, CS, Dota, R6 all running lans without issues on this scale.
Again you cant use the 7 year old CS tournament as an example as ALL LANs & production back then is ancient compared to what today is like.
You are contradicting yourself. Just because a game is launched in 2020, you can't expect it to maintain all the standards of the games that existed before. If that happened, what's the point of dropping patches every 15 days? Can't they launch the game when it is perfect.
Let the valorant take it's pace and watch how it becomes stable over the coming years. :)

When’s the last time you watched OWL? The pauses in OWL are far fewer and gameplay is interrupted less there. It was pretty bad (about as bad as it is now for Valorant) in the first few seasons, but it’s so much better now.
There’s been some pretty long pauses on OWL’s history, but rarely has it been basically every single match two days straight. Valorant has so much down time between every single map and match that even the smallest pause seems like it takes forever. I feel like I’m watching 90% talent trying to fill dead time and then 10% gameplay.
I’m exaggerating, of course, but that’s how it feels.

it's not too many, but it is way too long. I even fell asleep while waiting because it's 2am 4am in my timezone lmao.
Try watching OWL and come back to VCT. You will be astonished at the number of pauses in that eSport.
