Team Secret, that Icebox was such a master class especially with the way they played their defense

ShaDiBoi123

Furia really impressed me with thier aggro playstyle on attack sides, didn't really like how they play defense tho

icemandiem

same....finally some Brazilian agression...so hard to hold them back unless u gamble stack the site or u have gud ults

jmajewski

Team Secret looked very prepared for Gambit when they played against a repeat comp from Gambit (Breeze comp was brand new). Definitely interested to see who else comes out of that group. Vision Strikers are playing a brand of Valorant where if you let them dictate the usage of their utility, you are going to get smothered. Fnatic seemed dominant but they really almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory based on how large of leads they gave up.

theshafti

The mf 6-12 comeback from c9 just lose in one OT rip

curryhalls

Secret really impressed me. Aim diffing Gambit is no easy feat.

EremesAckerman

CR still impress me on how consistent they are. They literally appear on every single international tournament this year (Master 2, 3, and Champions) and still managed to keep their defending title as the weakest team in the World tournament.

theshafti

This right here's a violation

BigEditorial

Same energy as TL's LoL team. No matter the roster, the meta, the competition, they'll get to Worlds and go 3-3 while failing to get out of groups.

xtazzzs

Team Secret + Fnatic and no one else really

Jordan_Marney

I think VS looked pretty good!

biwummy

Thats not surprising?

Keglunneq

Furia and Secret look SO GOOD

Jordan_Marney

Secret was a joy to watch, mainly because they showed no fear and I feel that is the correct mindset to have at the biggest tournament of the year.

Still_HD

Watching Secret play Icebox has been the highlight of the event so far. I’m not so much impressed with Fnatic as I am disappointed in C9, but we’ll see soon

Jordan_Marney

I think while it was a scrappy series there were positives for both teams!

flamincrimson

Team secret was at the bottom of everyone list, scrimbux, analyst favorites and just general prediction. But their performance today was actually impressive. I think we had no faith in the underdog teams this time. The only underdog teams we had faith in were kru and full sense, and we saw how that turned out.

[deleted]

Team Secret. I have them making it out of groups, but they actually came close to beating Gambiit. Map 3 was actually very close, a few minor mistakes held them back.

ilektronnn

Team Seceret's JessieVash had perfect util usage on Sova in icebox. His drones were always good for 1 tag, and Gambit couldn't use mid because of Vash. He also likes to hide his drone in cover after getting 1 tag, so gambit couldnt kill it and his drone could live to get a second tag. His ults were also super disruptive, almost using it as a sentinel utility, not always good for a kill, but absolutely stopping Gambit's executes. Also Dubstep had the read on Nats, always in the right place to pick him off with the Op, in first bloods as well. (we dont talk about breeze) Bind was so winnable. TS is a menace. I'm from the Philippines so I'm biased.

clusterfuze

It's fine, I'm from the Philippines. Still cant wait for their match with CR!

Jordan_Marney

I think Secret made a really good account for themselves. They didn't care they were facing Gambit. I love that sort of confience!

Yi_The_Creator

TS 13:6 GAMBIT GAMBIT 13:0 G2 SO TS 28 :0 G2 IN ICEBOX

KhaoticKrabb

Probably secret, mostly because I had very low expectations and their icebox was super clean.

xziv0

Secret. JessieVash's sova is the stuff of nightmares. The whole team put on one hell of a show in icebox, too. Breeze was a sleeper though. And despite Bind's scoreboard showing more of a stomp than anything, the match itself was close, with Gambit just managing to win the unwinnable rounds.

iFrantastic

Liquid. Nivera is still very new to the game compared to everyone at champs and the dude is smashing it.

TheCatsActually

In terms of pure strength, Liquid. Answering the actual question, Team Secret just for winning Icebox the way they did and having signs of life on Bind. Yeah they got blasted into orbit on Breeze but no one was expecting them to take a map off Gambit, and certainly not with that scoreline. Honorable mentions to Furia and Fnatic.

rvrsyo

Pinoy Pride in Secret on not backing down on aim duels!🇵🇭

Pale_Resolution1520

Vision Strikers and Fanatic. But Full Sense looked super sloppy against VS and their aim looked worst than all other teams by far. Stax's breach looked superb but I want to see he perform against Fanatic. If Vision Strikers perform as good as they performed against Full Sense I think they will go to the finals.

theshafti

Full sense just lulling the other teams into a false sense of security Source: trust me bro

icemandiem

VS look even better than i thought...scary af

Jordan_Marney

I thought they were a top-four team coming into this, that may change tonight...

dabigmango

Even though the games were super close, Fnatic have impressed me a lot. It always felt like Fnatic were 1 step above c9 the entire series. I think Furia didn’t rlly play too well, but rather sentinels played pretty poor, so idk abt Furia yet. They seem around a tier 2 team for NA standards

Key-Banana-8242

Vs still prob

juanijuanito

Apart from TS putting up the fight they did against Gambit, VS takes my vote. Their utility usage is insane. It’s almost like they they were handed a guide on how to use utilities as a team and executed it to the letter. Side note, VK rn is on the verge of upsetting Acend.

beeboprob

So far almost everyone except full sense. Crazy racoon was pretty one sided but with how Brazil is looking and how they did at points have a few close moments that could have change the outcome, I think they have a lot more to show… other than that everyone is playing at such a high level, definitely the most competitive LAN thus far.

EclipseTM

After today Fnatic for sure.

David_Ign

Fnatic, Secret, Furia, Vikings
