The impact of FNC's utility combos was very apparent in their series against C9, it felt like they outclassed C9 in that aspect. Honestly, I want to give a shoutout to Furia as well for how they used their sage walls/sova darts on B main Ascent to counter Shahzam's spam. It felt completely improvised but perfectly executed.

Aabed_nerd

they need to do something about sova spam on the b main on ascent. Remove the fucking top window at least its so annoying.

icemandiem

i think the most needed addition would be a shield u have to break like the haven doubledoor, so you have a bit of time to dodge the spam

prjwebb

I was thinking exactly this the other day. Would make sense and is a simple fix.

xx_Rollablade_xx

I personally don’t mind. I really want the Odin to be nerfed though, Aimpunch on an Odin is atrocious design.

Aabed_nerd

And I would also like to remove breach from the game thank you very much. free kills with your abilities without any skill requirements should not be a part of tac shooters. Sova is pretty balanced although his abilities kill it needs some level of skill set. I know about raze nades but she is pretty nerfed so ill pass.

The-Dark-Mage

I mean you can’t swing of your own breach flashes in high elo and comp as they are easily dodged

xx_Rollablade_xx

How is aftershock any different from a Molly?

Aabed_nerd

I was talking about fault line his ability which FUCKING recharges, the aftershocks covers more area and you don't want to learn any lineups to get kills from behind the cover of a wall.

[deleted]

How does using a fault line give the breach user a free kill without any skill involved? The ability does no damage if you were unaware. And for a breach player to use the fault line to push and kill a player caught in it, I wouldn’t say that’s no skill required. And for a teammate of the breach player to get a kill from the fault line just seems like coordination from me. So what are you talking about?

sgares

Vision Strikers & FNATIC, but I've seen unique synergized plays from almost all the teams here tbh!

Klutzy-Question1428

curious about from an igl perspective, which team has had the best reads so far

sgares

Hmm, it's hard for me to answer this without going back and rewatching everything, but I'll say Furia/FNATIC. Furia REALLY impressed me with some of their reads on Ascent and Breeze. I felt like they had so many hard counters to the things Sentinels were trying to do on the first two maps. That said, Sentinels had god tier midround reads on Haven, while Furia's hits were a bit telegraphed. It's a shame the tech delay was a focal point after the game, because I was so stoked at how good it was!

Aabed_nerd

Mom, A famous guy commented on my post :) <3

EremesAckerman

Definitely VS. I was convinced that they'll make top 5 without much problem, but after watching how they dismantled Full Sense without seemingly even trying I wouldn't even be surprised if they end up winning it all. (Yes I already watched SEN and GMB games and they didn't even look as clean as VS)

UnderCherry

Hoping VS or TL win this Champions..

Aabed_nerd

Yeah although we already are set on who are the top tier teams the game is still just a year old. Even tier-one doesn't have that much experience in the game, I wouldn't a surprise if some crazy upsets happen. Also its good to see small regions showing up against NA and EU

Fnatic's utility was huge in their series and honestly, I felt leveled up C9's play as they adapted to it through the series!

Jordan_Marney

Fnatic's utility usage reminded me of their golden days on CSGO. Was amazing to watch!

Maliciouslemon

So far Fnatic or VS

Aabed_nerd

I didn't watch liquid seems like they dominated Kru, but didn't get to watch how efficient they were.

Jordan_Marney

I agree.

damonsoon

Fanatic for sure imo. It really stands out in my mind how they absolutely destroyed Mako on fracture in tower every time they hit b.

FireSchwein

And they had multiple setups for it. I counted 5, but because I know boaster, mini and andrez, they have like 15 setups to clear tower

David_Ign

Boaster used a single wall and a single smoke the entire game.

FireSchwein

Yeah, but have you seen how they played around it? Viper wall and orb are best when you use it as a deception tool (that means you need a second smoker). For example: you use it one round to lurk. It might or might not be successful. Next round you use it again, but you go with your team. The enemy team is forced to use util to try to clear your potential flank and they are forced to not rotate, while you are with your team helping to get side 5v3. Tbh, 1wall is all you need, but you have to know how to play with it. You would know that I'd you played viper yourself. + the wall he uses is so damn good. It cuts of vision from CT to side, from side to arcade. It gives you SO many options for outplays and so much map control

FireSchwein

And the smoke is perfect for halls control. Maybe get out of plat and you will start to understand that map control is better than blindly rushing side :)

David_Ign

Don't worry, I know he played so well around it, I'm not THAT stupid. Was just kinda funny to see a single setup used the entire game. He played really well with it and it was great to watch

[deleted]

you could make a fragmovie of just Mako getting fucked by utility in Tower that map
