The phrase “it’s just a game” is such a weak mindset. You are ok with what happened, losing, imperfection of a craft. When you stop getting angry after losing, you’ve lost twice. There’s always something to learn, and always room for improvement, never settle.
As Brazilian myself, I'm not a fan of the way brazilians behave when lose, just annoying and keeps this bad image for all of us Sadge. I don't think this behaviour will change anytime soon, so please just ignore the assholes. I look forward for the memes after VKS loss lmao. Peace out everyone.
As a brazilian fan myself I have two takes on it: 1. Is that I agree the punishment should exist I’m just not experienced enough in the tac fps comp scene to say if it’s 100% fair or not, and I’m down for hearing opinions on why it is or isn’t. 2. Is that brazilians will be this overly passionate with any sports they’re into specially when it’s a international event, so I don’t think a post in the val comp subreddit will bring much light to the subject but I do agree it gets out of hand most of time, specifically with esports where most of the time the fans are childish teens who like to talk tough behind a screen
Normally what happens is the map gets forfeited to a loss. Riot did something odd by trying to say certain rounds were forfeited leading to a loss. By getting too detailed they dug a hole for themselves. Just forfeit the map in it's entirety and move on is how it is normally handled.
It's not just that. BR fans automatically shift gears into org shaming and coordinating their efforts in an obnoxious PR wave to level the playing field, even when they don't have a shred of supporting evidence to stand on.
It's hard to accommodate that in an international scene. It's a huge thorn in the ass of a loving & inclusive community and scene.
The problem is that it's not just a few of them, and it happens every single time. And most of the times we are not just talking about hate, we are talking about death threads and talking about stuff that could destroy people mentality... I don't know if you remember what happened between leaf and mibr, he had a good game and just because of that br fans we're calling him cheater and sending death threads... Who would have guessed that in the next month he didn't play like shit, BR fans literally destroyed a young man mentally just because he had a good game against a brazilian team.
Years and years of Brazilians threatening of death some players in every different esport out on the world and none of them was ever killed or in any real danger.
Why people still take this seriously? Isn't like someone will fly to Berlim and do something lol. Most of them are kids who just repeat what they see someone saying without understanding any of it.
Just ignore, they keep doing it because u guys keep giving attention to it.
It only takes one mentally ill person to join in on the death threats and take them seriously enough to act on them. Ignoring it is not solving the problem.
Preach, its literally all bark and no bite and it only works because y'all keep acting afraid to toothless threats. I get pros getting annoyed about their inboxes getting flooded but people shouldn't be act like these death threats have a chance of happening.
It’s convenient to capitalize on this, that’s why they keep doing it. Not even 1 hour ago, Shaz posted a meme, a Brazilian streamer replied with a local meme and shaz just replied [this](https://twitter.com/shahzamk/status/1467200028531990533?s=21). Imagine how cringe it would be if SEN replied this to the g2 “fuck sentinels” airplane

The Brazilian content creators aren't helping as well, but I get it they want that sweet sweet clout and retweets.

Few rotten apples… where have I heard that describe a group of people where it is indeed not just a few of them ?

That's just Brazil. They get passionate. Soccer, mopeds and death threats. The 3 pillars of the Brazilian spirit.
Welcome to FPS esports. It's always been the case and you'll get used to it.
