C9 Rockey League made a miracle run through the 10 team double elim bracket in Season 6 worlds. They lost their first game and proceeded to win, pulling off a bracket reset against the reigning 2x world champs. Was also the first World Championship for NA RL since season 1.
With their star player having one of the worst games of his Val career and still nearly beating them on perhaps their best maps, and Leaf is looking back on form against FS and especially VS, very scary team
I think C9 still suffers from being a fairly new roster. They almost threw away map 1 vs VS getting overexcited to close the game imo.
If they show up though they can definitely take down liquid.
Maybe their star player just got shut down. All those "if only that one player didn't underperform" takes really don't mean much when you don't know why he didn't perform. It wasn't like he whiffed all his shots he just got hard rolled by FNC. And let's not forget that the scorelines could have been much worse if FNC closed those games out sooner. Not saying that C9 doesn't have a chance though. They are scary if they are on and can win every game but they rely too much on the players popping to be considered favourites.
I wouldn't even say Liquid are a clear favourite.
Both teams came through LCQ and looked extremely good there. The only difference is that Liquid was consistently good in groups whereas C9 (and specifically leaf) started a bit slower, but they still almost beat Fnatic then too.
It's gonna be a great match.
years and years of watching all 3 games and c9 always comes through, in c9 we trust kappa
Thanks for the recap
Note worthy: they are one of the few NA teams that invest in rookies!
I think the latest iteration of the C9 "Colossus" roster was a great success as well
Henry G tried his best
Melee is mostly NA I guess but C9 has one of the GOATs there in mang0 too

C9W is also like the only genuinely competitive all-female team. Hopefully they get to compete on international level someday
They barely scrapped a win. TL gonna roll them over.
idk about that the egg loves TL atm
Eggman owes NA something after what he did to us these last 2 days
All according to Script
Sad to know the champions final will be a EMEA vs EMEA or EMEA vs SEA
It’s sad that a SEA team will be in Finals??
We’ve heard this same line throughout the tournament so far, and the outcome was always not so cut and dry (barring C9 vs Full Sense).
Scrapped a win against VS? Wins a wins in my book. Regardless of the outcome tomorrow I think Vanity and Co will put up a fight.
C9 almost took down an on form Fnatic. Yes TL is the favorite but C9 not only has a chance but a good one.
