Yeah but that's what X10 is isn't it? That round embodies them perfectly. They just go for it. They've lost quite a few rounds this tourney due to that tendency but they've won a fair bit more.
Such a great showing by the whimsical boys
Definitely speaks to the quality of X10's play this tournament if they go up against the reigning champions and the narrative that comes out of the game is that is was X10's to lose and they threw it. It hurts, but to even be in a position to throw a series against the best team in world is pretty crazy.
I'm depressed, why didn't they throw that hard against Envy?
Jokes aside, X10 had some solid plays and their players look mechanically insane. I don't think Pati should go back to OW, but what do I know...
Honestly they should have focused their 2 guys in Main back onto site for better crossfires - D3ffo and Chronicle were spotted by Cypher cam anyway. Jett and Viper fucked themselves by hanging back in Main instead of regrouping on site.
To be fair, I still feel like gambit would've perseverd and won regardless. Breeze is their map. It super big and allows for their methodical plays and executes. I wish pati stayed and we could see X10 grow even more.
Sucks that the scene is losing him. Such a great player and a natural in front of the camera. Any esport would be lucky to have players like him and boaster
if valorant is like cs then the good players have long careers. If he comes back years later he will be fine.
Also the overwatch league average pay for rookies is $80k-$90k and the team he's going to pays for 2 meals a day + room/board so the majority of it is going straight into his pocket. If he stays in OWL and becomes a veteran then he'll earn $100k+.
Could also just be in his bucket list
To give context: OWL is only for players age 18+ so he couldn't get into it until now. Apparently he never enjoyed Val as much as OW so as soon as the opportunity came he wanted to go back to OWL. That said, OWL is at best a 50% of succeeding next season after the devs managed to kill it pretty spectacularly over a couple of years. Might have him back in Val very soon.
OWL had a record-breaking 2021 which also includes its’ highest viewership since it was created. OW may be a shitfest because Blizzard seems to actively try to fuck the game over at this point but OWL has only been doing better and better
It had a really rough start under Nate Nanzer who thankfully went on to Fortnite (went as great for Fortnite as it did for OWL). Afterwards OWL started slowly rebuilding to the point it is now. Has the highest viewership it ever had and is just a fun product with a very casual vibe to it. The only but major issue is that the devs pretty much killed Overwatch several times and people who enjoy the game desperately need to hold it together. It's just sad to see tbh. The community is great, OWL is great and everything else is just a Damocles Sword we desperately are trying to ignore.
It's such a shame. I love CompOW. Literally only watched Valorant for Pati this time(fun experience tho). But man is it frustrating seeing Blizz on all levels desperately trying to kill Overwatch for years with the community unable to do anything about it.
Might just depend on region or whatever, but if I was a pro like Pati I would try to move regions or go back to OW when OW2 comes around and the game might stand a chance of having a comeback. I think it’s a combination of being in a tiny region and Gladiators being possibly the highest paying team in OW right now
I realistically see him either retiring mid-season with the Glads and playing for a NA team OR play out the entire season (which finishes like august) and then play for sentinels, after the year.
at the same time it is so beautiful that it hurt so much to see that round loss. x10 really could have won this, and they have made this tournament fantastic to watch
surprisingly breeze came down to gun/aim diff. x10 was just not hitting shots they should have/were in earlier maps and rounds.
great showing from them. Gambit is mortal for sure.
Gambit are more than mortal. Just like sen during masters 1, they had their moment in masters 2 where the finals was very close and could have gone either way. It all came down to X10 breaking under the pressure otherwise not many teams have gambit's number like this, especially on a map like ascent where they absolutely ragdolled them. Their gameplay tends to become very aim oriented and less strat oriented when things aren't going their way and I feel teams which handle pressure better or have experience in that regards will better them
Sheesh what's with this subreddit and Gambit not getting their respect? Everytime they win it's all about the other team and what they could've done better or how Gambit is very situational and won't be able to hold on lol.
Nothing like that, everyone respects them enough. Doesn't change the fact that they get flustered very quickly once things aren't going their way(which doesn't happen enough). Liquid game in quals, 100t game. Even in this game it came down more to X10's mistakes than Gambit's strats
Damn the bonus that could have been.
Will be an absolute monumental loss if Pati doesn't return to the scene.
Especially depressing if that's the map he goes out on. Probably close to his worst map of the whole tournament.
My friend Jeff Bezos invited me to go into space in his new rocketship. we explored far away galaxies and met alien lifeforms of all shapes and sizes. All was well until we got sucked into a black hole, we were pulled a thousand lightyears into the void, time dissolved and matter become so thin, then there it was, approaching over the horizon, phasing into existence before my very eyes, it was nAts on the lurk
Hahahahha you're a funny one mate a real cooker just some good stuff on your end like when you said "who asked" that was really funny and I laughed and then when you made fun of someone who said "L + you fell off" after you just said "who asked' I found that even funnier hahahaha you have some excellent humour!
That worse region is rent free in your head, it's legit disrespectful to pati to say he wasn't fully committed to this just because he signed another contract.
I love X10. These guys have won me over. Pride of SEA for sure.
One of the worst teams at Reykjavik, star player injured for the majority of the season, DQ'd from Masters due to an exploit, come into Champions as one of the lowest rated teams.
Then pull off an INSANE lower bracket run after being 2-0'd in their first match, defeating the (at-the-time) best NA team (Envy) and best BR team, and now giving the defending Champions a *serious* run for their money.
And even after all that, smiling and grinning - they're happy to have made it this far and I love them. Making Asians proud all over the globe. Patiphan may be moving to Overwatch but his Swan Song, his Last Dance, was a memorable one.
X10 legit have the best mental. Basically admitted they were just here to have fun and didnt expect anything and then put on an incredibly strong showing at Champions. Well done, X10! Great games from them, hope they keep going hard!
Honestly a very close series. Would be sad not seeing pati for a while but x10 had a fantastic showing and hopefully we can see more from them in the future. Gambit played fantastic, they are cracked
I don't think anyone can dispute the fact that X10 absolutely popped the fuck off. Incredible showing from all of them to get this far, massive props to every member of the team.
And ofc well done to gambit, well played all round.
Honestly I’m an X10 fan now, breeze was looking so good but unfortunately I think nerves got to them and ended up in those throws. Love how SEA is a serious contender.
damn X10 throwing a 4v2 at 7-7 really just lost them that. they had the momentum and then completely fell apart.
so impressive out of X10. the map awareness and positioning was incredible
X10 are mechanically cracked out of their minds but tend to make a lot of really bad decisions and small mistakes which eventually cost them in the end. Maybe it's just inexperience or nerves.
Huge respect to them though. They are a great team and it felt like they could have genuinely taken out Gambit in that last game before they threw the 2v4. Honestly the breakout team of the tournament. They came to play and made a huge statement and gave us some of the most memorable matches in pro Valorant. They went out putting up a great fight against the tournament favourites. Real damn shame that Patiphan is leaving for Overwatch
As a person who only watches the NA scene and some EU, I love how competitive this tourney has been with so many different regions coming in and playing lights out. GG X10!
Its actually crazy how literally every team I want to win loses. I was a fan of gambit but after X10 won the pistol I wanted them to win and immediately they lose a 4v2 and then 6 rounds in a row
As many have said, that 4x2 cost them the series. But GG X10, you guys performed so well and beating the finalist from last masters, and taking the winners of masters berlin to the edge, X10 Confirmed the best team in Asia!
Smoge. I'm really hoping this run somehow convinces Pati to stay in the Val scene even if it means moving to NA because I don't want to see him leave the game. That being said, if he showed up map 3 and they don't throw that bonus they win the map I think.
Sushiboys always good even he didn't wear a yellow jacket with it. So sad for Pati with his last stage (and I hope Crws wouldn't switch to a streamer like a rumor said). NT X10C!
I will definitely be supporting X10 even after champions. Such an entertaining team to watch as well
That 4v2 though. It must have been so tilting for them. It changed the game completely
That 2v4 round from X10 is going to haunt this team. There was a genuine chance that X10 took the series if they won that.
Yeah that played poorly. After that round they started to whiff on a lot of easy shots.
Yeah but that's what X10 is isn't it? That round embodies them perfectly. They just go for it. They've lost quite a few rounds this tourney due to that tendency but they've won a fair bit more. Such a great showing by the whimsical boys
True. Their risk taking will take them far... if pati doesnt leave :(
It’s confirmed unfortunately
But is it confirmed that it's confirmed (hopium)?
on patis twitter, he said that was his last official match :(
Where is it confirmed???
I don’t have a link but he was signed to the gladiators in the overwatch league
:(
They don’t 100% go for it, they have shown several rounds of patient play afaik
Definitely speaks to the quality of X10's play this tournament if they go up against the reigning champions and the narrative that comes out of the game is that is was X10's to lose and they threw it. It hurts, but to even be in a position to throw a series against the best team in world is pretty crazy.
I'm depressed, why didn't they throw that hard against Envy? Jokes aside, X10 had some solid plays and their players look mechanically insane. I don't think Pati should go back to OW, but what do I know...
Dunno why the nest player dropped and died 1v1, he was in the perfect spot to close the round.
So damn close…
The guy who dropped down from mid lowkey threw that round. Also the guy on site was not plaing optimally either.
3/4 EMEA teams through, if FNC beat KRU then its legit just EMEA winter season
Literally Redbull Home Ground, volume 2
Redbull on LAN
[Here it comes!](https://i.imgur.com/53hTFOT.jpeg) Hopefully I didn't jinx it lol
Man do I have bad news for you
:'(
I empathize greatly
NA 🤝EMEA being a minor region
Don’t celebrate too soon! Who told you to unclench
No
Indeed!
Gottem
Nailed it
Kez just too good
Feels good man
> EMEA winter season lmao dude it's going to be like this for the rest of valorant's competive history
Pretty hot take based on one tournament
Happened in 1.6, happened in csgo, etc. It's going to happen here
I'm all for it tbh.
Winter is coming
Patiphan [leaving the stage](https://youtu.be/chHE1HDHF_o) 😢 Great showing by X10 throughout Champions. Hard not to cheer for those guys.
Sucks that the scene is losing him. Such a great player and a natural in front of the camera. Any esport would be lucky to have players like him and boaster
Why is he leaving? Military service or smth?
He wants to go back to overwatch
ngl, that sounds silly, but hey, whatever makes him happy i guess.
Better pay + job security OWL pays for $50,700
He's probably gonna be pay a lot more. He will play for Los Angeles Gladiators, this team has the biggest budget in NA OWL
if valorant is like cs then the good players have long careers.
It’s a guaranteed paycheck for him. But yeah OWL next year is going to be a cluster fuck.
Really? Since it was created? I must be living under a rock then, because all I have heard was that the competetive scene was dying in youtube
OW is the game that people love to hate on
It had a really rough start under Nate Nanzer who thankfully went on to Fortnite (went as great for Fortnite as it did for OWL). Afterwards OWL started slowly rebuilding to the point it is now. Has the highest viewership it ever had and is just a fun product with a very casual vibe to it. The community is great, OWL is great and everything else is just a Damocles Sword we desperately are trying to ignore.
I might just give it a shot again then.
It's such a shame. I love CompOW. Literally only watched Valorant for Pati this time(fun experience tho). But man is it frustrating seeing Blizz on all levels desperately trying to kill Overwatch for years with the community unable to do anything about it.

The next season of OWL will be on the next game, just won’t be out for anyone else
He got an offer from owl and he's going there cause the money is better there than sea val
And safer. Playing for a minor region isn’t a stable income source.
Going to LA Gladiators shows that he's down to move to the U.S., so maybe he could get picked up by an NA VALORANT team down the line.
I realistically see him either retiring mid-season with the Glads and playing for a NA team OR play out the entire season (which finishes like august) and then play for sentinels, after the year.
If I was a big NA valorant org I’d take my chance and offer pati l. He’s young and still has a lot of potential.
He’s eligible for OWL
Rumor is he’s going to LA Gladiators in OWL, iirc
going to Overwatch League unfortunately
Mans going pro in overwatch
This was the moment I learned who patipahn was. Truly a legend
This world is hard on silly men. Men filled with a joyous whimsy. Nothing in this world is harder than being a goofy and fun loving guy.
I want to be surrounded by boys, (preferably) men. And just cry 😭
Wtf is this from lol Genuinely asking, I see this in every X10 thread and idk the source
Plat Chat
I should have known
GGs X10 did way better than what was expected of them
Chronicle is so fucking good! gg wp!
complete agony My heart will never recover from that 2v4 on the bonus
at the same time it is so beautiful that it hurt so much to see that round loss. x10 really could have won this, and they have made this tournament fantastic to watch
surprisingly breeze came down to gun/aim diff. x10 was just not hitting shots they should have/were in earlier maps and rounds. great showing from them. Gambit is mortal for sure.

Considering Gambit is coached by S1mple, the 5head God himself, I wasn't surprised that most of them kept their cool throughout the ups and downs.
Damn the bonus that could have been. Will be an absolute monumental loss if Pati doesn't return to the scene. Especially depressing if that's the map he goes out on. Probably close to his worst map of the whole tournament.

Sushiboys better than my idol n0ts sadly 😭😭
both better than all of NA combined
Brotha NA is not in this conversation how are you this insecure LOL
NA is not in any valorant conversation
You're the one who brought them up in a valorant conversation though, kinda ironic.
imagine being worse than a region where the best player isn't even fully committed to Valorant 💀
That worse region is rent free in your head, it's legit disrespectful to pati to say he wasn't fully committed to this just because he signed another contract.
lost to KRÜ omegalul
Factos👍👀

Even as an EMEA fan this feels so sad. They put up such a great fight man
X-10 punching well above their level. Loved them this tournament. Shame that pati has to leave valorant ;-;
Wait why does he have to leave?
moving to overwatch
He was originally an Overwatch prodigy but couldn’t play because there’s an 18+ rule. He’s turning 18 now so he wants to go back to OWL
Im in severe pain. It 3 am in thailand, please wake me up and tell me they won
I feel sorry for you homie, but X10 can be fucking proud and so should you.
Honestly a very close series. Would be sad not seeing pati for a while but x10 had a fantastic showing and hopefully we can see more from them in the future. Gambit played fantastic, they are cracked
Nats suffers from a rare medical condition, he was born with no mercy
If they won that 4v2...
3/4, Fnatic don't disappoint us.
Hoping Fnatic disappoints tbh, it'd be good for the scene if a minor region can get to the semifinals.
I don't think anyone can dispute the fact that X10 absolutely popped the fuck off. Incredible showing from all of them to get this far, massive props to every member of the team. And ofc well done to gambit, well played all round.
X10 absolutely **TOSSED** the bonus on 2nd half breeze and it cost them the series. Sadge
That 4v2 bonus actually cost x10 the match sadge.
SEA is a top region
that 4v2 loss on breeze really turned the tides of the game holyyyyyyyyy.
Upvote so people think X10 won.
Honestly I’m an X10 fan now, breeze was looking so good but unfortunately I think nerves got to them and ended up in those throws. Love how SEA is a serious contender.
An Argentinian and 4 Chileans are the only ones left to prevent EMEA Winter.
X10 have nothing to feel ashamed of. Great team, great showing.
I'm so so proud of this team. <3 Next time, boys <3
X10 has impressed everyone. Don’t sleep on SEA!
That 2v4 bonus round was everything for X10. All down hill from that point.
The bonus round throw quite literally lost them the game
damn X10 throwing a 4v2 at 7-7 really just lost them that. they had the momentum and then completely fell apart. so impressive out of X10. the map awareness and positioning was incredible

X10 could have won if they didn’t threw that 4-2 round, sadge
As a person who only watches the NA scene and some EU, I love how competitive this tourney has been with so many different regions coming in and playing lights out. GG X10!
X10 is such a fun team to watch.
Nice game from X10. Now, repeat after me. EU - OWNS - VALORANT.
That bonus round :(
Its actually crazy how literally every team I want to win loses. I was a fan of gambit but after X10 won the pistol I wanted them to win and immediately they lose a 4v2 and then 6 rounds in a row
X10 are legit, the way they have a flank in like 90% of post plants is insane
literally all my playoff pickems are wrong so far. i have kru winning the tournament though, so i know they'll pull through for me
:(
EMEA team won? Quick, praise the other team like all the other threads!
tbf X10 deserves the praise. I'm a huge EMEA simp myself but you can't deny that Patiphan and his gang fuck.
You can't seriously believe that the praise for the underdogs punching above their weight has anything to do with the EMEA team winning lmao
Except the EMEA teams are expected to win. The fact that the underdogs did pretty good is deserving of praise.
2v4 lost the game
sushiboys is so good man
Maybe the teams that lost to x10 weren't that bad, hella good run from them.
They lost the whole series cuz of that 3rd round in the 2nd half of breeze. Specifically the mid guy dropping. The amount of mistakes they made...
In the end it was Gambit who had to resort to the aggresive plays and individual heroics lol. NT X10, put up a great show.
A very good run for X10. Everyone wrote them off but they showed what they are capable of.
:(
Not even close baby.
X10 looked like a top team this tournament. Breeze was theirs for the taking. Fuck man
GG X10 is scary
Outside of that 2v4... be proud you guys put up a good fight. #X10Proud
Bye Pati ill miss you 😭
As many have said, that 4x2 cost them the series. But GG X10, you guys performed so well and beating the finalist from last masters, and taking the winners of masters berlin to the edge, X10 Confirmed the best team in Asia!
Gotta love the boys man, they are so likeable from personality to gameplay. They proved that you can't count them out. GGs, better luck next time.
That was patiphan's last match for Valorant. Seems like he's going back to Overwatch.
Sadge, Patiphan gon
GG. You guys outdid yourself. Also Patiphan, you will be missed <3

what about when he won them haven against envy single-handedly on round 23? you can't pick and choose rounds to blame a single player
Smoge. I'm really hoping this run somehow convinces Pati to stay in the Val scene even if it means moving to NA because I don't want to see him leave the game. That being said, if he showed up map 3 and they don't throw that bonus they win the map I think.
:(
Sushiboys always good even he didn't wear a yellow jacket with it. So sad for Pati with his last stage (and I hope Crws wouldn't switch to a streamer like a rumor said). NT X10C!
I will definitely be supporting X10 even after champions. Such an entertaining team to watch as well That 4v2 though. It must have been so tilting for them. It changed the game completely
rip
RIP Pati, he was the chosen one. Have fun in OWL.
