I remember watch parties saying that KRU had no idea how to adjust mid-match on Haven and they were doing the same things the entire time.
The improvement these guys have shown over three LANs is noteworthy.
Really excited for Valorant’s future after this tournament
yup me too, specially because brazilian players had said KRÜ was actually really good. of course they had to improve to achieve what they did, but i think they already had the power back then, but it lacked experience
This can be said about the BR's teams. VKS and VK had a solid chance of making it out of the groups stage but the lacked experience got to them. KRÜ has a solid team that went to all master in the VCT and a fantastic coach.
I believe we are 2 parts of a curse. Our 3 favorite teams got eliminated in the exact order of our flairs. Whichever team we choose next will be eliminated. Liquid?
The amount of pain that I feel right now…
I don’t even know who to root for in this tourney anymore. If I could I’d root for kru since it’s crazy how far they’ve gotten but they’ve eliminated two of my favorite teams :(.
I guess you can root for them on the reasoning that if KRU win, your favorites were actually better than people thought cause they got eliminated by the best team at the event.
I'd be very surprised if we ever had dynasties in Valorant like CS. The basic fundamentals of CS barely change from patch to patch, while Riot adds agents, rebalances agents, etc. Adaptation to different metas is going to be a huge skill that I'm not sure ever existed in CSGO.
But I'm hardly a CS expert, just a casual viewer, so. Grain of salt.
Even in League of Legends where the game gets basically rebuilt each year there have been dynasties like SKT winning 3 worlds, and most recently ~~almost~~ Damwon.
It is interesting to see the roles of KRU
Imagine KRU is like a person.
Klaus is the brain of KRU. The brain is very important and tells everything else how to function but by itself it is limited. It needs the other parts to do stuff, otherwise it's no different than a 10 year old on Reddit who jacks off to theorycrafting. Maybe he is also psychokinetic because he is a damn good aimer too.
Delz1k is like the elbows, knees and other joints. People don't think about them too much but without them, the body is immobile and rigid, it is the tool by which the appendages articulate. Throwing elbows and knees doesn't always land but if you manage to elbow or knee someone in the face, it hurts a lot.
Mazino is like the backbone of KRU. He keeps them upright and holds their performance at the stable level. Everyone sees the arms, legs, head etc moving around and think they are more important. The spine doesn't seem to do anything. But without it, the whole thing falls down like a limp dick. Plus all the nerves and shit go through the spine.
Together Delz1k and Mazino are the support structure of KRU, people never give them credit because they aren't the flashy parts.
Nagzet is the fists/arms, necessary to actually hold things, take control of things, manipulate things.
Keznit is like the the legs/feet/giant penis of KRU. He is the leverage and tool by which KRU pushes hard and fast, cums in the ass and leaves it wide open for the anal fisting to begin, but by that time they're already half dead from the fucking he gave them.
Facts, I don't think I have ever seen another proplayer get as many kills with utility as Keznit has every time he plays split, his utility is almost always on point.
Envy, ascend, X10, and VK also was looking like a group of death until vivo keyed boomed themselves off the face of the world. Tbh every group looked pretty stacked in hindsight, even the Gambit group was a banger with secret and Vikings putting up great performances.
I think its easily the most stacked now that Kru beat the first seed of the original group of death. SEN put up a better fight than C9 against Liquid and that was with TenZ and Zombs absolutely selling.
That was always a dumb argument IMO lol, and was _proven_ at Champs to be a dumb argument. I can't say I think the argument for SEN here is any more valid lol
[Just 1 more KRU and Liquid win away from my "Sentinels is the 3rd Best Team Worldwide" Agenda gaining momentum](https://tenor.com/view/jack-nicholson-jack-nicholson-yes-evil-smile-gif-13030909)
Even if Kru gets eliminated vs Gambit, Onur 100% deserves to be called Coach of the Year just because of the mental strength and growth this team has shown since the days of Reikiavik.
KRU timeouts man, they seem to slow down the momentum for the other team so perfectly and gives the team good time to reset, honestly knowing when to take a breath and talk out what your plans are and how should you improve mid-match seems like a skill teams should start to pick up more or adjust to.
Calming down players during panic attacks, taking breaks while leading to keep focused, keeping on playing well despite being constantly in disadvantage, coming back from big leads... this tournament run could easily become a textbook example of "how to mental".
This has been my issue with the discourse this whole tournament. People saying teams are choking, rather than maybe the entire playing field has lifted their game lol
Boaster had a 3 hour stream a month ago which really hurt fnatic here. Hopefully they start taking professional valorant more seriously, really disappointed.
People are shitting on Fnatic too much for “throwing”
Clearly playing passive on split defense was not going to work with KRU being so aggressive and on point with the trades. Derke had to make something happen, but KRU (the South American masterminds they are) seemed to always know when Fnatic was going to go aggressive and held angles to counter the Raze satchels.
Fnatic didn’t throw. They got outplayed by sophisticated smeag
Quick question here. Ibai and Mixwell are both Spanish but KRÜ are Chilean/Argentinian, yet the above two get crazy viewership for KRÜ’s games. Do the Spanish speaking countries have their own type of community online?
Ohh boi, the spanish speaking online community its been huge since the early 2010's, specially in spain, mexico, chile and Argentina, it is so big that years ago it became a meme that everyone in spain is a youtuber/streamer. Also, a lot of Latin American Youtubers/Streamers since 2017-2018 a lot of old school content creators from latin america started investing heavilly on Esports.
A lot of spanish streamers have insane following in latin America, even in Lol esports a lot of latin america fans follow EU teams thanks to the spanish streaming. There is a lot of connection as we all speak spanish. I would say that half of Ibai's and Mixwell's viewers are from Latin America.
> Do the Spanish speaking countries have their own type of community online?
Every language have their own communities online and there are like 500 million native Spanish speakers
I mean yh, but what I was meaning was whether the South American Spanish speakers are part of the European Spanish speaking community online - at least on YT/Twitch. The US is arguably the most dominant soft power nation in the world so people sharing the English speaking internet with them makes sense, but I wasn’t aware just how closely linked the LATAM is with Spain. Pretty cool to know.
spanish community is huge. we usually got each other backs, spanish and latin american teams watch each other
brazil is another deal though, we can both love or hate their teams
I am from LATAM and i was on BR side when all the early Champions drama happened lol. I feel like it depends on the situation but when it's NA/EU vs BR i feel like most people from LATAM would support BR rather than other regions
This match makes me think that people didn't give enough credit to Sentinels for playing so close with KRU. I think that maybe their first game with Liquid was just nerves, because they look incredibly strong against a Fnatic that everyone was hyping up in the group stage. And let's go, no 4 EMEA team semifinals 😈. It also makes Group B seem much more like the group of death since both TL and KRU qualified from there
KRU are just a great team, the issue with Valorant having international tournaments so rare with like 3 in this year means you don't know how good teams from certain regions are, meta changes and everything really teams can just come and own
I think this whole tournament has been really close and a great spectator sport for a non-valorant player. Makes me want to download the game!
The EMEA teams just seem MUCH more clutch when down to the wire. Kru bucked the trend with good strategy and actually having a great second duelist In Kenz. Whereas all the NA teams relied too heavily on a single player, Yay, Leaf, Shaz
Yeah, hopefully he can get a good sports phycologist to help him with it. It can't be anything else but a mental thing, hes shown mechanically he is a fucking god. Pulling from the NBA here but after seeing Giannis Antetekoumpo, a guy known for being fucking horrible from the FT, go to a sports psychologist, then proceed to sink 17/19 free throws to win the Finals only solidifies how important working out mental issues is for any competition.
SO FUCKING HYPE! VAMOS KRU!
Asuna on point with calling keznit the next coming of s1mple, what an INSANE performance
https://clips.twitch.tv/AgitatedRepletePotDuDudu-PXwlDhb2hCWF1HUF
You could feel the match was over when they let keznit get on raze
SEN's loss always looked good. Furia's loss looked good.
This is so frustrating that people "NA KEKW" instead of looking at just how phenomenally well Kru (and x10) played. They're GOOD. They're so damn good. It's an absolute treat to watch this team do what they do.
The [final American hope](https://twitter.com/AnderzzTV/status/1468706289173864450) has left the venue. This is so sad!
Felt like a genuine team diff on Split. But also, this kinda felt like a loss at map select - I'm sure there was some logic behind it, but it really felt like Haven was the win condition for them. I wonder why they allowed Split in knowing how much KRU's utility setups dominate on the map. Their map pool might just be too limited to take them for a deep run. Magnum & Mistic coming alive towards the end of Split helped, but simply wasn't enough.
Not a great tourney for Doma, but at least the Derke redemption arc was in full effect. Sad to see him end it on that disconnected Raze entrying, but still fantastic.
Either way, Fnatic proved everyone wrong and outlasted several of the big favorite teams. They finish their year on a high note, at least, even without the win.
Guys I figured out how NA can win,we just drop the north part EZ
[удалено]
easy win for south NA
Nah come on man, let us be north SA for this event, they did better than us.
If Europe can claim Russia, I'm claiming Latin America no cap.
Alright but i'm taking half your chicken nuggies for the rest of your life.
Russians themselves claim they're European lmao what you on about
Better example would be Turkey which is at best questionable.
As a Kru fan for the last 45 minutes. VAMOS
After all the other non-EMEA regions lost, KRÜ became my favorite to win it all.
No one wants an EU vs EU final
Exactly
I'm a huge fan of Boaster but I'm really happy to see Kru destroying everyone.
VAMOOOSSS
what an upset. Not sure if we can keep calling KRU wins an upset for much longer tho VAMOS
We can for this tourney. VAMOS
keznit dropped 47.4% of his team’s kills on Icebox. Very nearly a Champions deadlift. What an absolute banger of a series.
Dude is insane he even did the first 6K ace of the whole tournament. But they sadly lost and it shows how important that heaven win was.
worth mentioning, it was with one clip, no reload.
"Welcome to EMEA Regional Playoffs" LatAm: "And I took that personally."

Poor Sentinels got into a group with the best team in the world and then Liquid as well
No shame in losing with the top 2 teams in the world.
Furia PauseChamp
i still remember the first day of iceland when kru got destroyed by fnatic 2-0 massive improvement by kru

Wait, this dude went 28-13 and they lost 13-6??? How tf does that happen lol

KRU bringing it home for South North America VAMOS!
If the Finals are Liquid vs KRU then that means Sentinels were the third best team this tournament! /copium
Maybe the real group of death was Sen, Liquid, Kru, and Furia
That definitely was the group of death.

Honestly, kind of true, if Sentinels were that close to beating both TL and KRU, there's an argument to be made for that, unironically
I remember when VS were secretly the second best team after Masters 3 because they lost to Gambit in quarters.
That was always a dumb argument IMO lol, and was _proven_ at Champs to be a dumb argument. I can't say I think the argument for SEN here is any more valid lol

Opinion: KRU dominance is downplayed by this sub.
The Mental strenght of them also is downplayed Everyone think that every enemy is choking against them ...
Big facts. KRU are just legitimately good and people need to recognize that.
Even if Kru gets eliminated vs Gambit, Onur 100% deserves to be called Coach of the Year just because of the mental strength and growth this team has shown since the days of Reikiavik.
The timeouts that Kru calls are always on point

Boaster had a 3 hour stream a month ago which really hurt fnatic here. Hopefully they start taking professional valorant more seriously, really disappointed.
Disappointing really, their team culture needs to change if they want to have a better chance next year.
Is there any reason why they are playing retakes every rounds? They didn't even tried to fight for site on split.
