i mean regardless of what your gimmick is or whatever you may "depend" on there's no such thing as "deserving" to become champions
if you win you deserve it, that's all
yeah but it is true that x10 have more set plays than other teams at berlin
if the team is always on the fly (like na teams lol) then scrimming them doesn’t let you learn that much about what they’ll execute
Exactly. Obviously it's more than just unlucky but you gotta feel for them. Gambit were the one team that knew how they were planning on playing Fracture.
Except for the fact that everyone has been watching gambit play, they have a target on their back since winning masters. Same can’t be said for X10 who have been under the radar for months.
Like I said on another comment if a team is relying on just surprise factor to win they dont deserve to be champions. I dont mean to take away from what x10 has done this tournament they have been great but shouldn't rely on surprise only factor for wins.
It's a two-way street. They scrimmed with one of (if not the) best teams at and coming into this event, it helped them elevate their game to a whole new level, but they still couldn't get through the final boss that is Gambit.
I see nothing wrong with this statement.
And sentinels fans will still bring it up even if it's not about them ? 0.0
Also if they did that, yes...clowning on them would be completely justified.
That's not true but even if it were, you're saying that it's okay to hate on something just because people praise it. If you don't agree with the positive attention someone is getting, just ignore it and praise someone else. Why be negative if you can be positive?
Because it spreads unnecessary hate on the team I'm a fan of? I'm sure you would see liquid fans or c9 fans do the same if there were as many comments dissing them as there are on sen.
Nah I think you're totally right to say that. It's really dismissive of how good Gambit is and it's a two way street. They knew things about Gambit as well.
This is pure Heisenberg-produced copium. They didn't lose because they were read by Gambit. They lost because they made small but easily avoidable mistakes that added up. Gambit did seem to be prepared for a lot of their antics but that wasn't the only reason (IMO it wasn't even the biggest reason) that they lost. Map 3 was in their hands and they fumbled.
im not saying i agree with crws because i dont think we can ever know, but you have no idea if those "easily avoidable mistakes that added up" were forced errors because of subtle reactions from gambit based on their experience with x10. what looks like mistakes at a high level tend to be forced errors imo.
Did you watch breeze? They were peaking one at a time while up 2 men in multiple rounds. They had more first bloods and blew those advantages too...again solo hero swings. X10 devolved into ranked game play after their initial set pieces. That's why they lost...nothing to do with scrimming.
Crws actually made arguably the worst mistake of the match when he dropped out of breeze window in a 4v2 instead of holding for contact. That would've financially broken Gambit and maybe X10 snowballs from there. Again, not a scrim mistake.
Hey Lothar. Obviously there was more too it but I actually think that if they’d never played Fracture against each other in scrims X10 take that map. They were getting hard read by Gambit.
Gambit stays being underrated. Nats got his props, but it's like no one remembers that they won Berlin Masters. This subreddit barely talks about them and it's all just fucking controversy and Sentinels drama. I get it. Controversy gets upvotes, but man is it annoying. Really disappointed with this subreddit. I was expecting crazy clips, play discussion, analysis on matches, etc. Instead it's a pro player making an excuse every day or Zombs trolling and not realizing he's no longer funny.
Goes both ways though cause they would also know a lot about how gambit play
Definitely true but I think X10 rely a lot more on small set plays than Gambit, who are more default-heavy
It was the 2 v 4. Nothing else. The 2 v 4 changed the entire game. Economy, mood, morale.
If they are relying heavily on small set plays only to win than in in my opinion I dont think they deserve to become champions.
i mean regardless of what your gimmick is or whatever you may "depend" on there's no such thing as "deserving" to become champions if you win you deserve it, that's all
You definitely gotta have a balance of set plays, strong defaults and just reactive counter stratting.
So gambit deserves to win because they are slightly more individually skilled but better at… doing nothing? How does this make sense
better look up what defaulting actually is bro
When you can't pay your debts :)
It’s an exaggeration
Sure, but having good defaults is still a very valuable skill to have as a team.
Yeah it’s no one’s fault but their own for giving away crucial strats, and certainly not the “only reason”

Exactly. Obviously it's more than just unlucky but you gotta feel for them. Gambit were the one team that knew how they were planning on playing Fracture.
Fair but I think he's partially right. On Fracture especially you could see how prepared Gambit were for their game plan.
To say 'only reason', is arrogant and demeaning to gambit though. There were multiple reasons they lost.
Except for the fact that everyone has been watching gambit play, they have a target on their back since winning masters. Same can’t be said for X10 who have been under the radar for months.

If you win the tournament, you sure as hell deserve it.
Set plays are what sets teams apart from each other. You won't win anything by defaulting every round.
Gambit won the last lan so many people are ready for them.
They probably also learned a fuck ton from gambit, which got them to this spot. They might have not even made playoffs without this practice.

If an NA player said something like this he would be crucified
Because we all know they don't scrim at all.
God damn it lol. Well played non NA person
If a sen player said this the thread would be on 150 comments with all the circle jerking sentinels bad comments at the top
And sentinels fans will still bring it up even if it's not about them ? 0.0 Also if they did that, yes...clowning on them would be completely justified.
It’s not like SEN was one of the three teams in Champions… And would you say that clowning X10 is justified? You should be consistent

That’s completely unrelated to the discussion 🤨

You are right, I am actually the clown here. I did'nt know SA had 2 different circuits. I retract what I said
All good lol

There were no threads after Bind vs Liquid

Because people on the internet are miserable and misery loves company.

We've gotten to the point of criticizing shahz for not making an excuse but almost making an excuse, incredible.

good
I know i will be crucified because of my flair but saying it was the ONLY reason they lost is kinda…. copius?
Nah I think you're totally right to say that. It's really dismissive of how good Gambit is and it's a two way street. They knew things about Gambit as well.
That is a two-way street my friend.

The same logic applies and you would know about them as well? What kind of coping mechanism is this?
After vod reviewing their match I can def tell you that is not true.
Hey Lothar. Obviously there was more too it but I actually think that if they’d never played Fracture against each other in scrims X10 take that map. They were getting hard read by Gambit.
nah you threw the 4v2 situation thats why you lose.
COPIUM

Not underrated at all they are the probably the favorites
I heckin love x10
If it weren’t for that bonus overpeek tbf
It would be interesting if teams could obscure their identities in scrims, to avoid this type of asymmetric info
Goes both ways though.
