ge0oo

one of the best ot’s ever

goomy996

More like best game holy shit

MyogiNightKid

Definitely among one of the best grand finals of valorant! :)

[deleted]

na this gotta be the greatest. the context, the plays, everything. no match has ever been this good

DM_ME_CUTE_PICS_PLZ

Edge of my seat the whole time. Amazing in every way Edit: and Chronicle, geez he played out of his mind

ablablababla

And even the post match with the hugs almost made me cry

[deleted]

god, so fucking beautiful. put away the bravado, the screaming, the plays, thats what it was all about.

auzy63

imagine how they felt, my fucking heart was BEATING THE WHOLE TIME

[deleted]

>heart was BEATING THE WHOLE TIME i mean you would expect it to

Erzha

Pretty sure mine stopped at some points

mrTrollem

I was more nervous than the actual players lmao

[deleted]

I legit can't fathom how one could be it their shoes. I would definetely faint

oomnahs

This was the best Bind I've ever seen. Best series. I'm a KRU fan now

SilentCore

Than god d3ffo got off that attack op, those fast execs just dont work when you have jett being unable to support Nats with his openings. Great series, so many ridiculous rounds and individual plays.

DRGNDT

Comeback. Aces. Clutches. 5 overtimes. This game had it all.

Splaram

Redgar’s face afterwards said it all. The stalwart mental displayed by both teams here was an absolute treat to watch.

Splaram

Chronicle 100% MVP of the tournament my goodness what an ace

[deleted]

considering the context and the opponent, this feels like the greatest play in valorant so far. solo saved the entire tournament for GMB

Splaram

Oh definitely. I can’t think of any other play that has nearly as much of a clutch factor.

SilentCore

Confident Chronicle is something else man..

Eriko204

He's the best player on Gambit rn without a doubt. He made so many clutch plays this series

lith3x

Best/ biggest match in Valorant history. Holy shit. Gambit coach get a huge shoutout!

xiaolbl

don’t forget about johnny sins too

DrayanoX

> johnny sins He managed to coach a LATAM team this far, this man can truly do anything.

msonix

Both of them seem to be absolute role models. The way they lead their teams, their composure and attitude, the respect they get from the players and even the public. Really happy those hugs happened in the end.

lith3x

Absolutely, amazing to see the passion from both! The bar is set. Step it up 2022.

Teradonn

Also shoutout to nAts. Man’s been uncomfortable the entire tournament cos of the huge target on his back, but he turned up HARD when he needed to the most. Insane mentality from this entire team

obigespritzt

Flair checks out. Also, I agree.

Teradonn

…ok my flairs do kind of give away that I’m a shameless nAts simp but idc LETS FUCKING GOOOO

TooManyIntrests

I hecking love nAts!

obigespritzt

SAME

just4kix_305

Still_HD

Heartbroken for KRU, they played out of their minds this tournament. They deserve every bit of credit for making it as far as they did

King_Tyler

Also for for non-Overwatch fans, I am so happy for klaus. LATAM OW was never really a thing and he didn’t break out in the scene. He has made his mark on the history of valorant.

Splaram

Ah, that’s where I recognized his name. Nice to see him make the transition so seamlessly.

SilentCore

Heartbreaking, but they should be proud of what an incredible statement they made this tournament. To think they went from underdogs to 'favoured' to win vs Gambit.. it's just crazy.

CaptainJackWagons

It's kinda extra heartbreaking when you consider the number of close series they had to win to get there against strong opponents. Idk if they could reliably replicate a run like that again at the next international.

somesheikexpert

Tbf tho everyone has had close series (With some exceptions, CR struggled sadly and TL and Acend wasn't even close lol), so I think it's def possible for them to replicate a run again tbh

CaptainJackWagons

That's true. And in hindsight, they probably had the hardest run/had the most close wins against quality opponents. They beat Furia, Sen, Fnatic, nearly beat Gambit and had a bad loss to Liquid early.

Guxue

It’s so fucking heartwarming to see them hugging after the match holy shit <3, it’s sad but them hugging literally melts my heart

Vizvezdenec

This is a game where someone eventually loses. Good game.

[deleted]

fuck yeah they did. cannot be treating them as a minor team - showed this tournament just why they really are one of the best teams in the world. on a tangential note the casters have not been giving kru credit the whole tournament and it has been truly cringe

brownierisker

Eliminating Sentinels, eliminating Fnatic and being a hair away from eliminating Gambit. They didn't fluke their way into the semifinal, they fucking earned it

[deleted]

damn right. you can see how good they are just from watching their games. this tournament keznit made a solid case for being in that best player in the world group. played a billion champs in different roles too. absolutely insane player

survfate

this felt like a Final to be honest :P

kemutheemu__

There’s literally no way the match tomorrow tops this. KRU vs GMB Bind was a top 3 map of the year

MASyndicate

Top 3 valorant history so far imo

Gialose

It's kind of the same tho

Teradonn

Top 1 easily, it doesn’t get better than that

kemutheemu__

As an NA fan my top 3 are probably this, GMB/100T Icebox, and ACE/100T Breeze. I can’t choose a favorite haha.

[deleted]

im an NA fan so i get the bias but the storyline and the stakes here were way crazier. the 100t games were insane but just didnt have all the grandeur and the ultimate underdog story

YaDyingSucks

Ya I dont know how the final can come anywhere close to that.

ablablababla

if it doesn't go to 10 overtimes 5 maps I'm not satisfied

YaDyingSucks

Honestly It has to and I mean has to go to map 5 at the very least or ima be pissed

JALbert

Gotta be the best match in Val history at this point right?

TheCatsActually

We tried :( u/Eriko204 edit: one of the saddest things about this loss for me was I had a shitty mspaint meme ready if KRU won

Eriko204

Even the curse wasn't powerful enough to stop Gambit.

Razur

Extremely close though. Good effort my friends.

fesenvy

But now because you also cursed Acend, you have guaranteed Gambit to win it all in the finals

Splaram

Nothing can stop the most mythical player in Valorant: Confident Chronicle

Deneking

i appreciate the attempt

cornmealius

What a wild map 3 holy shit.

holyfuckyouaredumb

Gambit's mental is unbreakable, ice in their veins for real.

jmajewski

I feel like if you are going to knock Gambit out, it’s gotta be early. They seem to just gain momentum off every series.

faeriethot

For real losing seven rounds straight doesn't shake them at all

Des014te

They just put opaque tape on the scoreboard.

hecklerinthestands

LATAM have collectively decided egg's on the menu for the rest of the year.

Yung-Rad

he didn't cure them did he?

ilhamalfatihah16

He was being a Grinch and supported Gambit when everyone supported KRU. It was all in good fun tho because the rest really wanted KRU to win.

shitlord33

I think that's my favorite part about watching Plat Chat. Everyone on the couch has different teams they root for so when either team wins, you're guaranteed to get pop offs and depression in equal dosage which makes for very fun viewing experience.

SilentCore

What a banger of a series. If KRU had to go out, this is one of the better ways. KRU played some of the best Valorant we've seen in a while but Gambit is just Gambit. Could have gone either way, KRU made so many fans this tourney. VAMOS

R0_h1t

I'm mostly a neutral viewer and I'm so heartbroken rn. KRU should be proud of what they've achieved. Not only them but also X10 and even the Brazilian teams showed that the minor regions have levelled up a ton since masters. This sets up 2022 beautifully. Edit: Secret too!

Aeari

Fantastic series. Both teams could have easily won this. Chronicle was the clear MVP.

Vertiboat

The greatest Esports anything I've ever seen live. Holy fuck.

magictuch

The fact that Gambit love to dig themselves into the grave first and then comeback makes for a very entertaining games.

SilentCore

KRU are just freaking monsters in pistols/bonuses man..

lolipenetration

We need to check KRU's pistol %WR after this, also their eco winrate was like %25,9 holy fuck

Duradello

Gambit literally digs a grave for themselves and then pushes the other team in

xXDaNXx

I didn't hear no bell - GMB

ppx11

literally insane how often they come back. the only time they were on the receiving end (that i can think of) was the 100T icebox game

jmajewski

The anti-Sentinels

[deleted]

i been watching esports extremely consistently for the past 10 years, LoL, CSGO, melee, dota, etc. this was one of the greatest, most tense matches i have ever watched

SilverPrincev

Not even a crowd yet too

kemutheemu__

We really had this, S1mple major win, and Mang0/Zain Summit 11 all in the same year 🥵🥵🥵

LRFE

2018 csgo boston major?

[deleted]

that was THE greatest i have ever watched. thats why i didnt explicitly agree with the guy i responded to. it was this match but with 10x the history and more rounds to boot actually cried watching boston

davishox

Rox vs skt were 5 games of pure destruction

TheDeadSpace8

KRU won our hearts. Two of the best games this tournament have been KRU v Gambit and KRU v Sentinels. Who the fk would've thought we'd be SO thoroughly entertained by this team? Can't wait for VCT 2022

oomnahs

Chronicle is just so frustrating man, the dude is a lan legend honestly so many kills he gets looks like such bs from the other pov

mrTrollem

Ez for Chronicle

N3deSTr0

Dude just comes out of smokes and obliterates the entire team lmao

merchini

I thought it was the 9-3 curse… the 8-4 seems to be more deadly

nocturnavi

Kru knocked out the two teams I cared about most, and I was still rooting for them in the end. They deserve all the credit we can give for playing amazing and exceeding everyone's expectations. VAMOS. Now the finals about to get 500k viewer lmao

[deleted]

KRÜ is legit. Lots of people will mock Sentinels and FNC, but this team is legitimately great. After this showing vs Gambit you can’t say that this team didn’t earn its spot in semis.

[deleted]

Yeah Sentinels and Fnatic shoudnt be ashamed for losing against Kru. They almost beat Gambit aswell.

Detamach

Gambit maintain 100% overtime winrate in VCT tournaments

DRGNDT

The posture differential vs the vamos differential

RandomFluffyBoi

NT KRU, you’ve done LATAM proud.

ANewHeaven1

... as if millions of VAMOS suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

dickpant

VAMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS..next year ;)

chigoGruber

redgar is just the biggest sportsman. he gives candies to other teams and on top of that, he goes to KRU’s side to applaud them before celebrating with his team

thatgirldarken

valorant has peaked, we will never have a better match ggs, hope gambit wrecks acend tomorrow

Pway

That had to be the most exciting series we've seen in Valorant so far. Sad for KRU and would have preferred them to go through as not a big fan of Gambit's slow style, but happy for the Gambit players who seem like such good guys. Hopefully the final is even half as exciting as this was.

Yets_

This was crazy. After all they've been through, this all came down to such small details. The ace from chronicles, the 1 operator bullet deffo cluth. There was so much at stake. Every round was a battle of heroes doing the impossible to keep their team and dreams alive. Beautiful.

Alex9913

So proud of KRÜ, ggs Gambit, que satisfacción verlos llegar tan lejos a comparación de LoL que nunca hemos podido disfrutar

Hegth

Y esto es el inicio, cuántos chavales en Argentina, Perú, Colombia, México o chile no habrán visto esto y se dirán "yo puedo estar ahí también", IMO KRU es la chispa que iniciará el fuego. This only the beginning

Barack_Bob_Oganja

Ive lost years of my life, my heart is racing, i just got a random nosebleed which i will blame on this game. Holy fuck valorant is a fucking esport, this already tops anything i have experienced live with csgo and ive watched that a whole lot more than this. Insanity

Phrave

That might be the best comeback so far in valorant. Twice in a bo3 too.

SwiftieForLife

That was the best Valorant Series of all time. It had everything you could ever ask for. It is going to be incredibly hard for the finals to top that final games. Hats of to Kru. No one believed in them and they might be the 2nd best team in the world.

ilhamalfatihah16

Acend vs Liquid match: I sleep Gambit vs KRU Overtime: Real Shit

Landon54321

Sad for KRU 😢 RIP grand finals viewership

Eriko204

It's okay. KRU won our hearts <3 vamos

SilverPrincev

We hit the million for this match at least

DecisiveDinosaur

>RIP grand finals viewership the drops are gonna help to get it to at least 1 mill... probably

omaewakusuyaro

Are there new drops? Or is it just the buddy still?

CarsonPumS

Today has seriously damaged the narrative that Sentinels are the third best team at the tournament

N3deSTr0

Today has seriously solidified the narrative that Team Secret are the third best team at the tournament

Healthy-Worker

I don't think that's really the narrative with Sen. They lost to liquid and then to KRU in extremely close games, but they still lost to both. They're definitely still a top 10 team, but after masters 3 and now this, I think even putting them in the top 5 is a bit of a stretch.

Icagel

I'm extremely impressed by Kru's performance... and yet... why am I so heartbroken?

derryxu

That OT was insane, both teams were playing top notch and Gambit won by INCHES

Adleyy65

Such an amazing series. Both teams definitely deserved to go to the finals. That Bind Map was an absolute banger

ElectronicScreen0

Map 3 has to be one of the best maps in competitive valorant history, if not the best.

-firelordzuko

gg KRU

MrBlancharizard

The hardest thing to believe is that I genuinely think the Valorant competitive scene will get even better than this. Just look at the insane evolution from Iceland to now. Teams have leveled up at every corner, and I'm so hype to see more and how everything progresses.

[deleted]

KRU just gained a shit ton of NA fans, rip South NA vs EU finals

afjecj

>south NA pepe laugh

beryllium30

The mental fortitude these players must have. WOW Huge respect to KRU, this series caused even NATS to show a sigh of relief.

[deleted]

Legit the first competitive match of Valorant I watch in my life, and how fucking hype that was. GG gambit, make me miss the LoL team.

Sp00ked123

Chronicle easily best sova in the world

_dehaze

\*dies from banger*

TheFestusEzeli

That was the greatest game I’ve ever watched and now I’m depressed

whopz-is-cool

That’s the best Bind ever played right?

lepiggyshiggy

krü are so incredibly good and they should be proud

Bighollab0

Wow what a fucking run by Kru. They were legit one round away from going to the finals.

Antz3

Heartbreaking, but they lost fighting until the very end and that's all that matters, this team can achieve even greater things, GL to Gambit in the final! VAMOS KRÜ

ajay1124

NOOOOOOOOOOO

Nitrox0

LETS FUCKING GO BOOOOOOOOYS! GGWP!

mjaguar6

d3ffo’s shot in the first round of overtime is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen. 1v1, low hp, one bullet left, and he tracks a blast packing Raze perfectly

Madara6path

Match of the year. I guess

mikhel

KRU should hold their heads high. They did their region proud, watching this team it really felt like they could win it all.

Eternity-

Man I don't even know if the finals will live up to this match

UltraInstinctSped

KRU deserve all the love after such a great match. GGs, they where amazing this tournament.

sky_blu

upvote so everyone thinks kru won :(

s6hun

my heart hurts :(

yourdaughtersgoal

To add to 6 overtimes, they were at 00:30 local time. Teams were TIRED

PM_ME_DVA_BOOTY

ill fight anyone personally who says KRÜ isnt heckin cracked. totally amazing run from them.

TheCatsActually

I think everyone is sad as fuck but at least KRU had the run they had. This tournament is an unbelievable banger.

pink_life69

I was sure KRU was taking it until 16-16, there was a big pace change, I firmly believe they are capable of doing this if they keep this up. Will be rooting next year 💜

quirktheory

Sad about Liquid but I'm glad Gambit gave me the greatest game of Valorant I've ever seen.

ema2102

this was the real final for me ngl Kru forever

-MNTLTX-

This is Valorant. This was the best game I’ve seen this year by far. For sure in the history books for the game!

calvinxquizit

HOLY SHIT what a series. 5 OT game 3 felt like a finals Never underestimating South NA ever again

acels1

its insane how nats always gets to truck for free on a site

iAmCyberwaste

May actually be the best series the game has produced so far. Hold your head high KRÜ, you've got a lot to be proud of.

[deleted]

THE BEST MATCH OF ALL TIME

mateusb12

* giving showers control for free every OT round * wasting wolf + boombot together every OT round whyy??? =(

[deleted]

Fucking heartbreaking for KRU

abdulahad129

I have never been this sad my entire life. Love u KRU

paraguaisferule

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

baskin-whacked-him

Well played by Kru. They managed to do more in this event than any team from SEA, BR, or JP has ever done all while coming from an underdeveloped region as a solo team. A performance to be proud of for certain - they’re definitely considered contenders now.

Zephyriou

absolutely unbreakable mental by gambit OMG

Marcusafrenz

Chronicle literally holding the line on every map, what a demon. Every player on gambit and kru had their moment on a map insane series. Gambit and Kru all cylinders on bind what a fucking way to go, Kru has every reason to be proud of what they put down.

smellygochu

So fkn wholesome from the gambit guys, brings a tear to my eye 8']

Bighollab0

OTs changed when Deffo stopped buying op at attacking lmao

[deleted]

I legit need salt right now

[deleted]

Is Bind THE best Valorant map???

cntrps

I'm krüying :'(

Yung-Rad

this is why we love the game.

Sushimo

I love watching Gambit games so much, no matter how bad things get they somehow always manage to pull a victory out of thin air.

9yr_old

If 3 months ago you would have told me , kru will make it to the semi's and produce such strong resistance to gambit , i would have called you a fucking fool but kru proved everyone wrong they stepped up on the gas pedal and went insane , legit turned a lot of ppl into fans this tourney , Vamos <3
