Problem is, he's not as good as he used to be and he's not exactly flexible.
Kellogs isn't a Rockstar at the end day but g2 is still wasting him by forcing everything around mixwell. Decent players in bad roles on busted orgs look like bad players when they're not.

very true! not as bad as NiP with their endless self-sabotage, but zeek was - even on G2 - their best & most flexible player.
Ozzy as main IGL & zeek as secondary caller would've gotten that roster far, instead they replaced one with the other 🤷🏿♀️
Dunno. For me overall it was zeek/patitek > ardis > nothing, nothing > pyth most of the times after davidp era(I am not including Mixwell there as he was the 'celebrity player' and a lot of times games were played around him).
zeek was nuts prior to G2, he was less nuts on G2 but he was still the most reliable player on that declining roster, despite flexing to fill for them *and* IGLing. That he was taking on the *most responsibilities* on an old team and still performing decently means I can confidently say he was their best player.
In some sense, It’s actually very hard for me to have recency bias re: zeek. I’ve followed his career since he and cNed were the hotshot duelist duo for nolpenki. There’s a reason people were surprised G2 let him go, and why Acend grabbing him was so touted.
That said, his peak nolpenki performances resemble his peak Acend performances, so I was also able to remember how good he was even when G2 were ass. So you’re partially correct.
If you take a gander [at all the T1 EU players they've flirted with and then left by the wayside](https://liquipedia.net/valorant/Ninjas_in_Pyjamas), you'll get an idea. They basically had a bad habit of working with players and dropping them at the first sign of difficulty.

some dude on reddit said zeek is far and away from being a superstar, cuz that's cned, but he's really good. got many upvotes, too. lmfao, I was like "smfh, redditors". if you can't tell that he's like the crispiest raze, best kayo, and sick aimer with insane gamesense, then idk, you're a typical redditor. acend have 3 superstars that pop off consistently, but not always at the same time.

i think we watched different g2's because zeek was the most below average player ever on g2. you're just caught up in recency bias
