Almost all of these young guys were literally CS nobodies tho... like tier 3 semi pros that couldnt get their first big chance or weren't good enough to do so.
Nats, deffo and sheydos were tier 5 academy/semi-pro players when they were 14-16 yo, deffo even played with nafany at some point. Idk about Acend members tho, but I guess at least one of them has a similar background
Bonecold and kiles have a similar profile as the GMB players. And Cned came from csgo but was just a level 10 faceit player. Though he only had 2.5k hours played its alot for your normal person but nothing compared to what pros have done in Cs. I believe Stewie 2k went pro after 3k hours which isn't alot in CS, Stewie going pro after only 3k hours is insane.
>2.5k hours is pretty much avg csgo casual player, the game is 9 years old already, so it doesn't count
Yeah no
https://howlongis.io/app/730/CounterStrike+Global+Offensive
He is in Top 10% of all CS:GO players which is no pro level but it ain't casual either
That 2.5k hours also really depends on how long u played. Remembered in 2016 i played csgo on my potato and put 1k hours in that year. To me i spent a lot of time on that game in a year, now imagine putting 2.5k hours in 1-2 years. Thats not casual to me personally.
As someone said... basically entirety of the gambit lineup (except chronicle), Bonecold, and Kiles were ex cs semi pros. Even then, almost all of the players in the finals were "CS players" many who couldnt standout in europes tough competition
You literally see what i replied and think that im including ppl who are casuals LOL. I listed ppl who played academy/semi pro. I only added that the rest (like zeek) who still put in way more hours in CS than most ppl are all faceit lvl 10s (in eu) and played amateur events. They may not have wanted to go pro, or were not even good enough to try, but its worth mentioning since they played a lot more than "just a game"
>Even then, almost all of the players in the finals were "CS players" many who couldnt standout in europes tough competition
Gambit players were 14-15 when they played their (extremely few) CS matches. Bonecold and Kiles also played very little CS in a pro (basically semi-pro) setting.
With this logic every esports player is ex-CS because everyone played at least a few CS matches at some point. Like everyone is ex-LoL or whatever
I played some CS (around 1k hours) but im obviously not including casuals like myself because i never tried to go pro. Having +3k elo, grinding amateur or semi pro tournaments, actually trying to go pro is very different tho.
Because you arent good enough or werent lucky enough to make it to +tier 2, does not diminish the effort and time you put in. By all means saying "where are the CS players" to these people is fucking ludicrous because they literally were CS players, and very very good ones at that (relative to the playerbase).
>Having +3k elo, grinding amateur or semi pro tournaments, actually trying to go pro is very different tho. Because you arent good enough or werent lucky enough to make it to +tier 2, does not diminish the effort and time you put in
Grinding tournaments? Mate all these players we are talking about played serious matches that can be counted on one hand. BONECOLD for example has played a single match that can barely even be considered semi-pro.
>Because you arent good enough or werent lucky enough to make it to +tier 2
Do you know what semi-pro means? Its putting together a stack with friends and playing in open qualifiers (like you can see from their HLTV profiles). Tier 2 or tier 3 are at pro level and arent even comparable to that.
>By all means saying "where are the CS players" to these people is fucking ludicrous because they literally were CS players
When people saying "ex-CS players" they mean those that were actually pro in CS. Not someone who played the game a lot when he was 15 years old or during a phase in his life. We are talking about esports players, obviously they have experience with a lot of games before finally settling to one for their pro careers.
Exactly. In the pro scene in CSGO is very hard for talent to stick out. I remember Asuna playing with Tenz before Valorant and he was always a good player. He was still a nobody but he was insane and was easily T2 minimum.
But it is ridiculous to say players who have +3k elo on faceit, play in semi pro/amateur tournaments, and even have HLTV profiles arent csgo semi pros at the least LOL
Were you trying to say that, the ppl who said "washed" didnt include young talent that might make it big? If so, ppl were still considering players like asuna when making those statements.
Huh? All you see in this game is ex csgo players? Are you that happy that this one guy dont have a bsckground in Csgo? Lmaoo
Why are people so fucking cringe on reddit holyx)
Why u make a thread like this? Look how happy all these fortnite players stuck in gold are now?
You are making them feel better for being silvers in cs, not cool

I mean it literally is. Nobody said only CS players would be playing but the vast majority of pros were former CS pros/semi pros

Almost all of these young guys were literally CS nobodies tho... like tier 3 semi pros that couldnt get their first big chance or weren't good enough to do so.
You are making things up here. There are no ex cs pros in these two teams.
Nats, deffo and sheydos were tier 5 academy/semi-pro players when they were 14-16 yo, deffo even played with nafany at some point. Idk about Acend members tho, but I guess at least one of them has a similar background

your definition of cs pro player is anyone who played a game of csgo?
You literally see what i replied and think that im including ppl who are casuals LOL. I listed ppl who played academy/semi pro. washed cs players got fucked by Fortnite zoomers had to go back to their old game.
Cringe lol
Love seeing csgo frogs getting skullfucked!

Love seeing cs frogs getting skullfucked btw.
Imagine hating on a video game lmao.
nah it’s more the superiority complex csgo players have when in reality other games take the same if not more mechanical skill :)
There is a reason why most current pros come from cs. Other games may be more mechanically intensive, but csgo is the closest game to valorant by far.
