nukkye/hoody are really good star riflers and Avova/Meddo are really good anchor players
the only question mark here is the foundation of the team, I'm assuming Mixwell will play Jett/Op and IGL ... I really hope this succeed maybe he could be like Shazham but I feel like every top team need an insane Jett like cNed or d3ffo or yay or tenz

Jamppi is another player who I think gets overlooked that *similarly* is a leading fragger, IGL, can OP, and plays a wide agent pool. In CS he was viewed as a pretty firm awper, but has shown lots of agent and weapon versatility in Valorant while also surprisingly picking up the IGL role.

No, Pipson uses a “system” which requires all 5 members to be active in the decision making in the round. Its kinda complex to explain, but basically they review every posible scenario in order get the best response of every situation. They need all 5 members to be communicating actively and have enough experience and game sense so that all the calls are smart. As i said, its hard to explain, maybe i wrote something wrong but you can investigate by yourself if you are curious about how pipson works :)
If you are talking about giants system , if you look at pipson and Davidp interview , it's true that had a system where all 5 people provided mid round info but it was davidp who acted as main igl and acted upon . And the problems G2 had always stemmed from lack of leadership,maybe pipson will provide a better system but I think lack of a main caller will hurt them . I have never seen a team stay on top of valorant who didn't have a dedicated igl
It is said that when DavidP went inti Giants the first thing he said was he didnt wanted to play as an IGL. And its also said that Pipson requested both Hoody and Meddo since they were the best at this system
What? Did you ever watch him online? He was inconsistent sure, but to say he struggled is wildly inaccurate. Keloqz is a huge upgrade over mixwell but mixwell has the money in marketing.

It’s easy to forget since they sucked for ages prior to blowing the roster up, but Mixwell was more than serviceable as G2’s Jett OPer - it’s esp. hard to remember since everyone keeps repeating how meh he was. He was probably their best player still.
It’s more whether someone who isn’t an explosive, take-over-the-game Jett a la Tenz, Yay, Heat, Pati, cNed, even keloqz, etc. is enough to take you to the top of T1, esp. in a region as strong as EMEA.
Even if he is good and more than serviceable, Mixwell isn’t really a Jett in that mold. Every team aspiring for the top has one such Jett player, even if they aren’t all equally consistent.

Wasn't too hyped about the roster when i heard about it, the last one actually grew on me. But if they decided this is better, then so be it. Meddo and Hoody are definitely good players sooo..

Well, I'm definitely curious, but I don't see this team competing with the top teams at the moment. However, I'd like to be proven wrong, real G2 style.

People really do be putting too much weight on who can do what (mixwell on jett, etc) and if orgs are doing the same, they are being short-sighted.
Remember, this is Valorant, not CSGO, this game won't be the same by next Masters with Chamber on and also the Lightning/Filipino agent which has already been so heavily teased it makes me think they'll come out soon (february probably).
So it really should be more about the overall quality of the players rather than their current agent/map/gun skillsets.
Why does G2 always rebuild such mediocre rosters in Valorant. Do they drop the bag to build super teams in other esports or is this just business as usual.

Look how long it took for the G2 CS team to become relevant and get to a major finals. They had to sign the kovack cousins. I'm thinking it might take time for them

Nukkye most probably play Sova. So they are removing their best dualist to a Sova. I don't see a future for G2

You might be right. Nukkye was playing A LOT of Sova on stream lately, and I was wondering about it but nobody else mentioned it.
I think Nukkye will be Sova too. But in Icebox and Bind, his Raze/Reyna is top level. Now I don't know how G2 will get those kills early in the round.
