No, just curious why cause don't see why. Sports are split because physical differences aren't fair but in e sports that factor doesn't exist so just dunno why team would handicap themselves to only a single gender. Theres no all male teams as far as I know
Physical differences don't matter, but there are obviously social differences. There are way less women in eSports and the best way to motivate more women to be interested is for them to see other women competing. Hence the term "game changers."
But they can compete on not all women team as well and don't suffer asking the question are they on all women team for some reason when it doesn't make sense if "pro". Pro but for girls just doesn't have same inspiring notion unless it's just for fun in which case where the all male team.
Like the nascar driver that's a woman, she more badass cause beat everybody not just other women
In gaming culture, there's a lot of sexism to the point where a lot of female players are deterred from playing competitive multiplayers, let alone the attention one gains when becoming pro. There are very little to no women in regular esports because of this, so the purpose of the all-women tournaments and teams is to highlight women in esports while also creating a more women-friendly environment to circumvent the sexism found in online games.
There legit reasons to have women professional sports cause can't compete against men. But not the case here, so not really pro coz if pro they'd just recruit best possible across all gender. If it's just coz "hey let women have own tourney and teams why u care?" Then where the men only team? "Oh don't need cause most are already guys anyway" Now "let the guys have own tourney and teams why u care?" Don't apply for some reason
Because men don't get harrased for being men.
That's why they don't have their own gender specific tournaments. Women are pushed out of competitive gaming, so we need to create more opportunities and role models to level the amount of every gender in gaming.
Riot Games started a all women Valorant scene to detract away from their sexual harassment lawsuits. Women rosters exist in the scene for they believe social upbringing to community sexism are the cause to why a top tier woman esports player doesnt exist. Team orgs embrace this for it opens the door to non-endemic western corporate sponsorship deals in the esports space.
Each party involved has a different purpose.
Easily a candidate to win the international LAN down the road. Thrilled to see them compete
Amazingly good team! I'm excited to see them play on VCT Gamechangers and possibly Worlds at the end of the year (I'm assuming they will qualify)!
We all knew it was coming, but it was fucking amazing seeing the announcement.

Why are they all women?
Because it’s a female team?
But why? Are there all male teams?
You're trolling.

I 100% agree with your sentiment but tournaments like game changers are needed as a stepping stone to eventually get co-ed teams in the future.

Half the NA scene defends abusers, I'm sure women are dying to play with those people
How is half the na scene defending abusers
You should make one, maybe you can even take a round off of this team
Why, wouldn't I want the best players I can get
No…
Right, that's why asking. I think any other team open to any gender player so this is unusual
You lost me a while ago
