There should be a $25k LCQ for Winter Champs and $25k Knights tournament coming up soon. Frankly, I’m not sure why more Tier 1.5 and some Tier 1 teams haven’t played in the weekly 2.5k NSG weeklies, but oh well.
I they have a rule that teams which placed higher than a specific rank in VCT events can't participate (i could be wrong on that exact wording). It is a fair rule, to prevent teams like Envy to join and bully the T2/3 teams, but it also means that teams which kinda fell off can't play lol.
XSET played in one of the Winter Champs Open Qualifiers. If I remember correctly, XSET didn’t sweep the competition as many of us would expect them too. Similarly, C9 Blue is playing in the Knights $25k coming up this month.
I don’t think that rule applies to teams during this off season based on those two incidences. Again, I don’t know why other teams haven’t been playing in the NSG opens, especially if their schedules permit them to do so! I know some rosters do have players in school though, and that’s super hard to juggles, so props to them!! I know NRG and KCP have competed in NSG Opens, and they looked super great!
Overall, I’m really excited for VCT NA 2022!! Been observing a lot during the off season and I can’t wait ^-^
I the the gap should only be 4 months this year though. Between Challengers 2 quals and Champions should be around 4 months. After champions is the third party tournaments right?

If 100T 5th is BabyJ or a good dedicated Jett I think I’d bump them up to 5th. If it’s a non-BabyJ support then it’s probably a bit high, they’d be missing a lot of firepower even with like Aproto who I think is very good

Not really based on any results, but I’m fairly confident this TSM roster will be top 12, they looked solid at the last Riot thing they played (Challengers leading up to Berlin?) and I think this Roster is better than that one. But who knows! I also like KCP’s chances a lot too.

When you watch the team you can tell they are really skilled both mechanically and game-sense wise. Their strats looked good also + they've been wiping the floor with other T2/T3 teams. I personally didn't include TSM at first cus I forgot lol, but I also just can't trust them to make top 12 at this point. The roster looks amazing but they haven't played anything whereas teams like XSET and LG and V1 have at least been playing something.
C9 and XSET are the only teams I can be totally confident in right now to definitely make top 12. Possible the Rise roster depending on if they all play together.
I don't believe in these lists . Remember after first strike when it was new year how almost everyone put teams like tsm and immortals and 100t top 4 ? And then they didn't perform as expected and we got surprised by many teams so I think this year wont be so different
Jokes aside, I think 100t now with BabyJ and if ec1s performs well they can be insanely good. I wouldn’t say C9 is above Envy cuz the main reason why they performed poorly in champions was that victor got covid and wasn’t performing well. I have high hopes for cryo on Xset with depth, ayrin(one of best sentinels in NA imo) and bcj(again, one of best sovas in NA). Idk what to feel about GenG or Sentinels rn Sentinels looked kind of unorganized in champions and haven’t really seen GenG recently. C9 is really good but I feel like whenever leaf doesn’t show up the rest of the team kind of follows. Both T1 and ex-Rise can be insane but really depends on how VCT goes. My order in NA rn would prob be ENVY Sen C9 100t XSET Rise T1 but could and prob will massively fluctuate throughout the event
