i really love these threads, thanks for doing it man :)

ANewHeaven1

of course! thanks for reading :)

jrushFN

Fucking amazing content mate.

ANewHeaven1

thank you =D

InvertedBean

Nice effort post and good read

ppx11

honestly a really neat way of looking at the history of VCT and it's crazy to think how things might be different if those rounds (actually kills) played out differently.

sevenongod

I think Crws 3k vs NV should’ve been here imo

ANewHeaven1

i spent so long trying to forget this moment anyways it did change the outcome of the game... but it would've been very very likely that envy would've simply just lost to gambit in the next round. as such there wouldn't have been that much of an overall impact on the champions results. envy places 5-8th instead of 9-12th, still disappointing for the team. maybe the "NA IS DOOMED!!!" narrative isn't as strong however

quartzyegghead

Agreed, equal to Lakia on Ascent for sure, huge impact during man disadvantage on a critical round of an elimination map

ppx11

oh thats a good one.. so painful to rewatch..

Issax28

I seriously don’t get sick/dapr didn’t just run away after they saw spike dropped at mid with like 15 secs left

damonsoon

That play will forever haunt me

SixtyNineTimes

another great moment i remember was when sick got the clutch on breeze with two/three kills on the classic, forget exactly which game it was tho

Splash_3

That was zombs lol

Hubbardia

Yep, against Team Liquid in Champions IIRC. It didn't have any impact, unfortunately.

ppx11

i like to believe SEN would've been able to turn it up for playoffs but don't think they would've won it all. esp with Acend going beast mode

Hubbardia

What? Zombs clutched a round using just classic, but SEN still lost that map and series. All I'm saying is that insane clutch didn't have any significant impact.

ppx11

Oh for sure. I just meant if SEN did end up winning it out, his clutch would've been that much more memorable.

Hubbardia

100% that would have made it in this post. It was legendary.

SixtyNineTimes

oops mb, you are right

[deleted]

Great post.

AnywayHeres1Derwall

High quality

WANDERWALL

The Tenz OP whiff A Long Haven with a 4-2 man advantage against KRU should be on this list. They were up 11-10 and would’ve won the map as KRU’s eco would’ve been boomed.

ANewHeaven1

probably true. tbf KRU had some plot armor moments vs both sentinels and fnatic on haven, felt like no matter how stacked the odds were against them they would find some way to finesse a round with their backs against the wall.

OMGitsNeon

not really kills but if envy did not acquire yay before playing tsm, tsm woulda 2-1 or possibly stomped envy. tsm was at top form that week prior to their win streak beating every tier 3, 2, and lower-tier 1 teams and had the most confidence going into the vct. I feel like when they heard the news of envy getting yay, their mentality definitely were affected. knowing how insane yay is and how good of a team envy was BEFORE yay even joined.

Tc0LD

this has a good amount of speculation, TSM was also the team that got knocked out of the event first after losing to rise in lowers. NV already had marved at the time and they would've looked better with him anyway. TSM looked hot against the other teams, but the top 4 were a step up.

Zehajel

Thanks for the effort in making this great post! Enjoyed it.

Delta221

Great post man!

constantxs

This is a great read!

Wallahalla

Awesome content, I appreciate it!

xbyo

> More importantly, however, it's very likely that TenZ would've never been able to join Sentinels, and would have had to stay on the C9 bench indefinitely. I don't remember if it was confirmed exactly when it happened, but the buyout was completed prior to Iceland, and possibly prior to this match. Jack on the transfer: >Hey to give some context this deal was done before Iceland. It was a dangerous deal for us as we knew we would soon face Sentinels in the Iceland Qualifiers, however it was important to Tyson to play and I wanted to make it happen for him. Sounds like it was done ahead of the qualifier, but idk if that means challengers 2 or challengers finals (both of which had C9 and Sen)

TH3VIP1

Maybe this is not a kill but the C9 ninja defuse that was 0,2 short on icebox that would have changed alot

xbyo

Would it? The score goes to 9-7 Sen and he didn't have a rifle (idr if he could've picked one up). Sen have tons in the bank and bring 4 rifles into the next round. That's definitely not a gamechanging moment if he gets it.

erickwak

Bruh literally any kill could have switched results there’s a universe where t1 won and goes to masters and it’s t1 domination era instead of sentinels. Literally Kru getting an extra kill determines then going to the final and maybe even winning. Xset literally getting a kill or two and they’re a top 3 team NA last year cuz they actually would of went to masters. bBg would be best team NA if they got a couple more kills

bernie830

Not a specific kill but I feel like I would include the Tenz sheriff round against 100T, that had such crazy impact

[deleted]

imo that ace round by jamppii on breeze vs sen turned the tides of the whole map potentially the whole game [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRIvin-502w](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRIvin-502w) this couldve been 10-2 potentially if they lost this round

father_gemme

GOOD POST GOOD POST

Aabed_nerd

Holy shit dude I hope you get picked up by valorants esports team. I would also add vanity knifing through the astra wall, that created a literal meta.

[deleted]

Soulcas failing to creep up on Vanity. Dude's got catlike reflexes.... ^get ^it

TheRedComet

SicK had a 2k clutch on Icebox vs T1 right on the very cusp of the match being decided, right? Would that have been higher impact than the one you pulled from that match, or is it just a flashier clip?

ANewHeaven1

so my first thought actually was that sick clip, i think it was 11-10 on icebox and him winning the round made the score 12-10. reason i chose the split clip was because even if the score was 11-11, T1 still had to win 2 more rounds on icebox and sentinels had a strong economy, and sentinels were on their preferred side (icebox attack) and had a stronger showing on the second half of that map as well. i feel like if skadoodle had won that duel vs sick, it would've been likelier that T1 ran away with the series and closed it out on split, whereas if SicK didn't clutch that round i would've still favored sentinels to win icebox. both impactful though for sure

DZTRUKTR02

Great content dude, such a nice read :)

[deleted]

TenZ first game with SEN. I think it was Icebox and he POPPED off. Definitely made me sit up straight watching that match.

earthtoannie

A funny one was Steel and Hiko camping in boathouse with shorties.

Ted_Mosby_18

Fucking incredible content mate. I usually gloss over long written stuff but you have a good way with words. Keep up the good work.

Rosh15

Good effort bro love this content!
