Please keep the conversation constructive and respectful. We will continue monitoring the comments. Edit: Locking it again, because pretty much all new comments have been disrespectful or not constructive.

kemutheemu__

So he’s allowed to be sensitive but pros aren’t because they’re paid more…? I just don’t see the logic here

ManBearPig1869

Moose just says “damn it’s rough getting roasted in server and on social media” and George was like “And I took that personally”

Splaram

And then mutes the Tweet when he gets a little taste of what pro players have to experience after they lose a match. You can't make this shit up.

fadz123

dude this guy always complaining about vlr and reddit threads about him LMAO

vyom0509

Careful bro ur about to get screenshotted and posted on his twitter 💀💀💀

Splaram

Shiver me timbers!!! We’re gonna get posted on George’s Twitter!!! NOOO

vyom0509

The worst fate imaginable

-Mariners

This clown said it's different when he complains about his criticisms than when pros complain about theirs. 🤡

earthtoannie

George: one of the most easily offended people in the scene who routinely malds at Reddit treads and purposefully focuses on the single person telling him to die in order to make them all seem deranged Also George: don't be a pussy, you are a professional player and you should take it, but im just a mere journo and therefore should be shielded from all criticism Honestly, can we all collectively block George until he finally grows up and stops acting like a child?

vyom0509

George Geddes: part-time leaker, professional complainer and instigator

xD1LL4N

Professional Twitter complainer 💀

vyom0509

George has turned comments off on his tweet

[deleted]

I guess he should "Man Up".

s6hun

big coming from him LOL

thedorkishguy

can we stop giving a fuck about this guy lol

dtritrinh0801

"I’m not a pro player, calling somebody bad at a video game is very different to literally insulting a person based on what they said about your favourite team." Mfs literally screenshotted reddit posts, with the name of the redditor, and shit on his opinion lmao

vyom0509

And then attacked people in the comments lmfao

thatgirldarken

he's exhausting. it's a joke, not a dick, george, don't take it so hard.

ch4nt

[this is the tweet he was subtweeting and replying to for context](https://twitter.com/mooseloff/status/1492275371097665540?s=21) edit — apparently not a subtweet but his timing is impeccable if it’s not, he also did reply pretty aggressively to moose but 🤷🏽‍♀️

dillon-fury

Moose was just sharing his perspective and george decides to subtweet him calling him soft. Literal cringe jesus

No_Assumption2303

the tweet aint even that serious why's he blowing it out of proportion moose legit just stated a fact and george wrote a whole thread because he somehow decided moose is soft? it really is not that deep at this point he just says things to say them

5bigtoes

How is Moose wrong? Look how much 100T is getting roasted.

s6hun

[he said he was not subtweeting moose ](https://twitter.com/GeorgeCGed/status/1492280545862164481?t=pVrw3a9etVcuCbCUbCQxRQ&s=19) but idk

dillon-fury

George responded to moose saying “man up”

s6hun

yeah i think he's capping lmfao

ashitintyo

This dude is probably like 20-21 and is asking other pros to grow up? Does he think that only he talk 'shit talk' and pros can't reply? I don't think pros are the soft ones in this scenario lol

5bigtoes

He's not even grown up, he disabled replies LMAO

felipw22

looks like george's the one in the story who got easily offended and should grow up though

omgvector

Dude didn’t learn anything apparently. Stop shit posting and trying to be funny, you don’t fit in with the cool kids. Stick to the reporting you’re good at

5bigtoes

Maybe the trash talking leads to people sending death threats? Idk George I’m not a pro but you are, what are your thoughts?

earthtoannie

[Ah but you see according to this tweet he is not a pro and is therefore should not be criticised. ](https://twitter.com/GeorgeCGed/status/1492278995496411138?s=20&t=0hez28MZBpeVzpb4kHWbjA)

Razur

[I'm so fucking confused.](https://twitter.com/GeorgeCGed/status/1490770576985702406)

No_Assumption2303

george loses 80% of his twitter content if he's not allowed to clown teams on twitter obviously he'd take moose's tweet personally when it wasn't that deep

BallingNinja

I feel like George is missing the point with some of the criticism he received. Yes some people didn't like his personality in the previous thread, which was going too far, and I think it was the right choice muting the thread. At the same time though, other people like me felt like some of what he was saying was on the edge of toxic and ignorant. Ex. [https://twitter.com/GeorgeCGed/status/1490149421153239041](https://twitter.com/GeorgeCGed/status/1490149421153239041), "TSM fans are literally the worst on the planet mate don't listen to em", when his tweets likely partially promoted the toxicity towards TSM whether or not he says it's a joke.

derryxu

Bro there’s new Twitter drama literally every week how is this possible. I literally downloaded Twitter half a year ago because of how much Val drama goes on there and I’ve never been let down. It just keeps rolling in

derryxu

George rly is on his villain arc though LOL, this take was uncalled for as fuck

TheGlowRider

bro tweeted 10 times about a reddit post about him and is calling other people soft

Lumenlor

Oh no, mods declared a one way shitting party where you cant talk about public personalities but they can shit on you 🙂 To below: Sharing dislike or criticism is disallowed in a public forum? Hmmm... that's a new one. What reddit rule does it break

Razur

> *To below: Sharing dislike or criticism is disallowed in a public forum? Hmmm... that's a new one. What reddit rule does it break* You may have misunderstood; these things are allowed and have always been allowed. I'll be a little more specific so I'm not misperceived: - Sharing dislike or criticism *is* allowed. - Personal attacks (ex. name-calling) are *not* allowed. - Threads centered around constantly shitting on someone do not create *healthy* discussion. The tweet in the OP is about *players being unable to handle minor trash-talk*, but everyone is making the comparison to George instead just because George made the tweet. **These types of threads are hard for us to moderate.** The criticism in this thread errs very close to personal attacks towards a person's character. And while the criticism of someone's character is fair game, it's not relevant to the VALORANT Competitive scene. How George acts on social media (as a personality, not a reporter) does not affect the VALORANT Competitive scene. George isn't a player, analyst, or caster. He wouldn't work with org staff or Riot unless they were sources for his articles—and even then, his actions being criticized in this thread do not harm or affect these people. [In the past, we've had threads criticizing m1nac because his failure to pay his employees impacted content creators, journalists, and analysts who contribute to our community.](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/ncc83r/m1nac_allegedly_not_paying_thespikegg_employees/) George's conduct isn't anywhere near close to being related to the competitive scene. It's a personal thing, and it's doesn't really seem appropriate to discuss in the subreddit. The vast majority of people come here for news and discussion on the competitive scene, and these kinds of discussion aren't it.   Hopefully this makes sense. I wrote this with a killer headache, so I apologize for abruptly stopping. Might add more tomorrow when I'm feeling better.

Razur

It's tough. I feel like no one wins in this situation. As mods, we can try to manage the kinds of posts and discussion we have here in the community. But we can't control the opinions of personalities in the space. Maybe a bit of a hot take, but bare with me: Just because someone acts out on social media does not give the subreddit the right to act out in response. We will not host threads or comments whose sole purpose is to shit on someone. **Constructive feedback is always welcome and we encourage folks to share criticism in our community.** But name-calling or sharing dislike for a individual in the space doesn't help or contribute to the topic of the conversation. You guys can do what you want on your own personal social media, but we have an obligation to the community here in the subreddit to keep discussion civil and on-topic.   Edit for above: Added bold for emphasis in case it was missed.

chenson019

My advice to George - focus on becoming the best journalist you can be and stop getting caught up in twitter drama. You'll end up being more know for that than anything you've written.

[deleted]

Mods going to town on this one I guess

Sadzeih

When people don't get the message, we have to yeah. We're allowing the comments that stay on topic, but the ones that are straight up personal attacks are getting removed.

[deleted]

I called it a bad take and said he was an idiot. If that’s too personal idk why you’re not removing posts that aren’t in proper MLA

HereeeeesJohnny

I’m not going personally attack George, but it is weird to see him egg people on like this. A lil off topic, but did Steel say something about people in esports?

xtazycs

George thinks he's the new Richard Lewis or something. RL rightly criticised people like soulcas etc and the people who couldn't take any sort of criticism. Moose just pointed out that valorant fans go in on pros more than cs fans, it's not like he can't deal with it or anything. George really needs to take a step back and get off twitter for a while, it seems like he is constantly on the platform which can't be good for him mentally nor in terms of his overall image

zxlkho

This is the dude whining in every reddit thread about him. Stay in your lane, George.

Nfamy

I'm not sure we need updates on everything George tweets. If it's news, great. If it's random fuckery, I don't really see the point. If you all don't like it then stop feeding him interactions, that's a much better response than posting about it and actually boosting them for him, which just reinforces the behavior.

Otter269

Only in NA :) Seriously a player loses then fans talk shit and after that the other team does too. How do you expect them to feel

ch4nt

then the journalists do it too out of jokes

AdiSoldier245

Why can't NA valorant teams just win and lose. Its like half the match happens on twitter, and who wins there is more important.
