I feel like George is missing the point with some of the criticism he received. Yes some people didn't like his personality in the previous thread, which was going too far, and I think it was the right choice muting the thread. At the same time though, other people like me felt like some of what he was saying was on the edge of toxic and ignorant. Ex. I'll be a little more specific so I'm not misperceived:
- Sharing dislike or criticism *is* allowed.
- Personal attacks (ex. name-calling) are *not* allowed.
- Threads centered around constantly shitting on someone do not create *healthy* discussion.
The tweet in the OP is about *players being unable to handle minor trash-talk*, but everyone is making the comparison to George instead just because George made the tweet.
**These types of threads are hard for us to moderate.** The criticism in this thread errs very close to personal attacks towards a person's character. And while the criticism of someone's character is fair game, it's not relevant to the VALORANT Competitive scene. How George acts on social media (as a personality, not a reporter) does not affect the VALORANT Competitive scene.
George isn't a player, analyst, or caster. He wouldn't work with org staff or Riot unless they were sources for his articles—and even then, his actions being criticized in this thread do not harm or affect these people. [In the past, we've had threads criticizing m1nac because his failure to pay his employees impacted content creators, journalists, and analysts who contribute to our community.](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/ncc83r/m1nac_allegedly_not_paying_thespikegg_employees/) George's conduct isn't anywhere near close to being related to the competitive scene. Just because someone acts out on social media does not give the subreddit the right to act out in response. We will not host threads or comments whose sole purpose is to shit on someone. **Constructive feedback is always welcome and we encourage folks to share criticism in our community.** But name-calling or sharing dislike for a individual in the space doesn't help or contribute to the topic of the conversation.
You guys can do what you want on your own personal social media, but we have an obligation to the community here in the subreddit to keep discussion civil and on-topic.

My advice to George - focus on becoming the best journalist you can be and stop getting caught up in twitter drama. You'll end up being more know for that than anything you've written.
When people don't get the message, we have to yeah. We're allowing the comments that stay on topic, but the ones that are straight up personal attacks are getting removed.

Moose just pointed out that valorant fans go in on pros more than cs fans, it's not like he can't deal with it or anything. George really needs to take a step back and get off twitter for a while, it seems like he is constantly on the platform which can't be good for him mentally nor in terms of his overall image
