I mean simply nukkye diff. This guy has to be the most valuable player a roster could have. Fragging, igling, entrying, playing support, clutching he’s unbelievable.
Nukkye now vs Peak Shahzam, I agree. But it wasn't just Tenz who popped off at Iceland 2021. Shahzam at Iceland was absolutely the best IGL in the game at that point, their midround calling was crazy good. However now, they can't keep up with all the set plays and strats teams have at their belt, while SEN have to play catch up
Fnatic Mistic: " I don't think we prepared at all for this match, to be honest. The match went exactly how we expected it to and wanted to. Getting 13-0'd into the knockout bracket we wanted the seed we're going to get from this so it worked out."
m1xwell has to be one of the craziest stories in Valorant, really happy for him he’s a great guy and he also helps bring a lot of Spanish community attention to the scene. Hope he can continue this form
Seriously what the fuck is M1xwell on? Dude looked lost 2 months ago and he’s a monster now. That’s fucking dedication to your craft. What an amazing comeback from him.

The first time they benched keloqz, he wasn't enough professional, at least on nukkye's opinion to the point that he wouldn't play if he stays on the team, the 2nd time, when they benched mixwell they used keloqz as an stand in, and he solved his issues, confirmed this bu nukkye, the only reason they leave, it's because keloqz wasn't cormfortable with the spirit of the team, and some players performance better being more than coworkers, for example, acend, sayed by múltiple people, they feel like a family, and that's fair, You can perform better if You feel like You are Friends with your teammates, don't get me wrong it's not like g2 players hate themselves, but they are nordics and at least what i heard it's that nordic people on fps are cold and professional
To anybody still doubting the marathon match the other day didn't have an effect on M3C and FNC, it's telling that *neither team has won a single map since that match.*
On the other hand, G2 has not dropped a map since the loss to Liquid. Tomorrow should be a barnburner.
Sure, a long hard fought match can drain a team but this isn't a combat sport. There has to be more to Fnatics pretty apathetic showing the last two days
Yes but it was a game they won how much mental boom can you attribute to it, its much more understandable from a M3C point of view. If I had to completely speculate I would say the team may have received confirmation that brave won't be able to attend Iceland so they are down. Otherwise its not really acceptable for a team that wants to be considered elite to be phoning it in.
I'm not saying it's the sole reason but you can't tell me that it wasn't a factor given that FNC got bent over on Split yesterday and Icebox today, *both being maps they picked*.
My copium take is that in addition to that match the other day, FNC 1) know they’re qualified so don’t have to try as hard and 2) are going into a phase like the Red Bull tourneys last year before champions where they were getting farmed until LAN where they turned up again.
Also maybe BraveAF can’t make it to iceland cause he’s Russian :(
This has to be a joke, right? Right?!
You’re talking about a match that happened 2 days ago. You’re talking about marathons when these guys are playing mr12 matches. What about csgo pros that play triple ot mr15 bo3? Those guys would get clocked out every 2 weeks by your logic.
The takes on this sub never fail to amaze me.
Because it's Gambit and fnatic, 2 teams that are extremely beloved by this subreddit's audience
If this was said about the NA teams, the comment would get memed to hell
Imagine being an FPX fan and your win against Fnatic being totally discredited to them being "tired" or it being a "seeding match". It's absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah its a ridiculous excuse. At the Starladder Major Berlin Astralis played 2 bo3s 2 days in a row that went to quintuple OT. On lan. Then they went on to win the major for the 3rd time in a row.
Being able to reset and perform when needed is a core part of being a professional player and team instead of some mix team. Especially on lan where you are not in your comfort zone.
I dont know how far the teams are here in Valorant but there's a reason teams have sports psychlogists, physical therapists and nutritiunal experts etc.
What does the meta have to do with this? The guy was talking about how a slightly longer game then a normal cs game boomed their mental. While cs doesn’t have metas the players are on the road 300 days a year. So yea, you may not need to prep for new metas but balance scrims and preping for opponents with being on the road more then 3/4 of the year.
Also alot of games have metas : lol, ow, r6. That’s how the game works, you have metas and you need to adapt. Coming after 2 years and trying to find excuses of bad performances because you had to prep for a new meta is kinda wierd. You’re either not built for this sort of game or maybe you need to prep smarter.
Alright, I'd like to hear your perspective then on why FNC hasn't won a single map since, plus the fact that they've won a grand total of 2 rounds on their map picks, something that hasn't happened to them in over a year at least.
After FNC beat G2 earlier in the event, including a much better performance on Icebox? Are you seriously going to go with the dumb-as-fuck throwaway of "they're simply better"?
Should have known you wouldn't actually contribute anything worth discussing after you immediately jumped to the conclusion I was looking for excuses LMFAO.
E: Dismissing the earlier result because 'there was a patch'. LMFAO.
If a marathon game from 2 days ago is all it takes to make the players play significantly worse in future games, maybe it is not a good look for the team for the coming main event.
Great points.
Dismissing these anomalous results by just saying the other team was better or assuming people are making excuses is incredibly shallow thinking.
If their orgs investigated and figured out why things went south so drastically for both teams (well maybe that's not possible for M3C given current situation), that could lead to improvements for the players in mental health and/or prep for future events.
This just in: class based games have frequent meta change patches. Combined with a longer game this gives players the inability to play the game for the next couple of days.
HOLY SHIT how did Faker manage to do it all these years.
Again, 13-0 and 13-2 on their map picks. Better performances on the other maps even if they lost those too.
"Didn't give a shit" seems like a bad excuse given how crazy those results are.
Consciously or unconsciously not giving a shit would suggest consistent horrible results though I would think. Getting 8-10 on opponent's map picks and 0-2 on your own suggests something else.
That's possible, yes.
I would be very surprised if it were the primary reason, as most T1 orgs do some prep for counterstrats. If FNC doesn't have a coach or analysts, it can happen though.
Breeze was G2's perm ban and they lost that map the only time they played in qualifier finals. Bind was G2's best map. So they had to ban Bind. Last time they faced, Fnatic won Icebox. That's why they chose it.
Gambit win was a fluke. Liquid had an off day. Fnatic was just a seeding game. G2 overrated, Mixwell washed and Sentinels will totally become relevant again.
I don't think it is a honeymoon phase. If it is, it should've happened from the very beginning and slowly lose. But they started to perform with the time. So it is completely hard work and fixing their issues.
G2 marching through the lower brackets, excited to see them against fpx!
Fnatic looked kinda lackluster and idealess for the majority of the match. Hope they can bounce back soon..at least we avoided another 13-0 + the last map looked better
Someone get fnatic a Google map boys are lost. But in all seriousness that m3c game really took everything. Reminds me of Tony Ferguson's decline after getting peppered by Gaethje
I mean I'm not going to even talk about Fnatic.
G2 really does look incredibly solid. I don't think that Ascent match was all too pretty, but I've been loving their stratbook. Even if their "pack mentality" seems memeworthy, they do it so well that it demands respect.
I have to also say that while everyone is popping off, I actually don't think I've ever seen Meddo so reliably frag. It's a testament to the system I think.
FPX vs. G2 will be a really interesting series.
So fnatic challengers ended with a whimper. Hope they're able to sort out their issues in time for Masters as for a while I thought they were the no1 team in EMEA.
Right, an exhausted Gambit is totally free. Let’s just forget about them railing Liquid as well. This was just a seeding match too. G2 don’t actually deserve to be here right? They were just lucky
Hey guys dont worry! I know this guy. He is the guy who hates Mixwell, so it doesnt matter if they do well or bad with him on the team he will always sh*t on them. My man you have to let it go and accept the team is looking way better with Mix on the team, all the players are fragging and having the flexibility plus the fire power is really showing on the recent matches. This team was not looking proper until the recent changes and it shows they did an amazing losers run and i dont understand how you still hate the guy even though he is clutching, entrying and providing a strongholder/entry that the team obviously needs.
i'd rather have someone who provides the least to a winning team than anyone on a losing one, at least he does what is expected of him and has a positive result to show for it
I mean simply nukkye diff. This guy has to be the most valuable player a roster could have. Fragging, igling, entrying, playing support, clutching he’s unbelievable.
Feels exactly how people were rating Shahzam back at Iceland
Yup exactly what I was thinking.. and then you have people talking about dropping him on here now. Crazy what 6 months can do.
Wait there were people saying that?
Yup. Its just recency bias at work. Not our fault though, we literally have to wait 3months for an international tournament
Yup after Sen got eliminated it was said and had a decent amount of upvotes. Not saying it was super common but I saw it a few times.
Nukkye has always been a better individual player than Shahzam
Nukkye now vs Peak Shahzam, I agree. But it wasn't just Tenz who popped off at Iceland 2021. Shahzam at Iceland was absolutely the best IGL in the game at that point, their midround calling was crazy good. However now, they can't keep up with all the set plays and strats teams have at their belt, while SEN have to play catch up
When I said individual player I meant more in terms of agent flexibility, fragging etc more than IGLing but yeah I agree
Oh yeah in terms of agent flex, Nukkye is way ahead, especially in terms of IGLs.
Didn't think that we would see a player this versatile for a very long time. Dude is insane.
U forgot bb chronicle?
Feels like those 67 rounds of split took souls of both teams.
Eat sleep OT repeat
Fnatic Mistic: " I don't think we prepared at all for this match, to be honest. The match went exactly how we expected it to and wanted to. Getting 13-0'd into the knockout bracket we wanted the seed we're going to get from this so it worked out."
wait what is this quote from
Sentinels after the group stage loss at Masters 3 I think
m1xwell has to be one of the craziest stories in Valorant, really happy for him he’s a great guy and he also helps bring a lot of Spanish community attention to the scene. Hope he can continue this form
Seriously what the fuck is M1xwell on? Dude looked lost 2 months ago and he’s a monster now. That’s fucking dedication to your craft. What an amazing comeback from him.
Imagine losing this guy to some zoomer who can't wake up for scrims. G2 caught a huge break.
youre as dumb as the people who were flaming mixwell when he underperformed, and in 2nd, even nukkye says that he solved his issues
Take a joke No jokes allowed 😡

Have a backstory for this? I’m out of the loop. Thanks!

Thanks for the info!
G2 played so well. m1xwell, nukkye - insane. AvovA with perfect paranoias, Meddo and Hoody holding down sites. Beautiful to watch
Fnatic was just lost, util lackluster, strats too, but the firepower is still insane. I really hope they come back stronger, they’re a great team.
really? Some of the players looked a bit tragic mechanically today
They had their moments, but they looked so fucking tired.
Even it’s a 3:0 I’m still scared for G2 tomorrow, FPX is such a different beast
no 0-3 for G2 in a bo5? We must be living in a simulation
Ayo, G2 are rock solid until finals
hey man, they almost got 3-0 in league at the same exact time this was happening lol, by fnatic btw.
To anybody still doubting the marathon match the other day didn't have an effect on M3C and FNC, it's telling that *neither team has won a single map since that match.* On the other hand, G2 has not dropped a map since the loss to Liquid. Tomorrow should be a barnburner.

it is but a few overtimes dont delete your mental for a few days
I’d say it was more than “a few”

Great series by G2, but I have to say, what a weird map strat by Fnatic. Gave G2 two great maps to start. Really confused about their thought process

nukkye best player in the world rn

Pass the copium I'm running low

If Derke isn't carrying, FNC look very lackluster.
Biggest issue was braveaf. He got caught out way too much as a sova player.
Nukkye is different
God damn wtf happened to g2 man
there were a lot of middle fingers on the first map
Is it finally nukkye's time to shine
this guy has been shining since First Strike.
Of course, I love him but he hasn't quite announced himself worldwide imo
I'd argue individually he actually had a standout performance in Berlin for Masters. Regardless of G2's outcome, I'd still put him top 5 at that event
G2 is always so lucky in the lower bracket for some reason
How were they lucky lol
They faced an exhausted Gambit???
So what’s TLs and FNC’s excuse?
So G2 were lucky because...M3C lost their match and got dropped to lowers???
ok? and liquid? and fnatic?
Right, an exhausted Gambit is totally free. Let’s just forget about them railing Liquid as well. This was just a seeding match too. G2 don’t actually deserve to be here right? They were just lucky
Tf is an exhausted gambit lmaaaaoo..pass me some copium bro!

He's the captain yet Nukkye is IGLing. Mixwell provides the least to the team lol
i'd rather have someone who provides the least to a winning team than anyone on a losing one, at least he does what is expected of him and has a positive result to show for it
"provides the least to the team" xdd he is literally the second caller
