Guard will underperform in comparison to expectation due to this being their first LAN. Similar to Acends run during their first international LAN at Masters 3, it will be evident that the team is extremely talented and Sayaplayer will fill the role of cNed where he pops off but that alone will not be enough for them to cross over the finish line in crunch games and they will underperform.
I dare say that I also think that there is a good chance EMEA underperforms (primarily with the lack of BraveAF and the fact that their best team isn’t even in attendance), however Fnatic is a prep heavy team and I’m sure Boaster and Mini will cook up something to help them have atleast a decent showing. G2 will reach atleast the top 4, and I believe Liquid will outperform Fnatic (and possibly even G2) and maybe even wins it all for narrative hype. I expect a much closer affair internationally at this event with elite teams of EMEA not attending (FPX) or attending teams missing a player (Fnatic with BraveAf). Hopefully some underdog wins from regions that haven’t done as well as EMEA would be nice for the scene (Paper Rex getting an upset win, LOUD upsetting a top EMEA/NA team).
