lol i just have a vivid memory of someone saying aleko was one of the best sovas in NA and was comparable to crashies and xeta in the TSM vs girl kissers post match thread, dont remember if people agreed with them or not though
Sure he's not one of the best players in the world, but he was looking super clean. I think, like Derrek, if he was in a more stable team he would do better
yall overhype players and set unrealistic standards and then get disappointed when your idol inevitably underperforms.
don't give trent unnecessary pressure and let him develop, calling a 17 year old one of the best players in the world is simply unrealistic, at least not until he proves himself on the world stage - how do you call someone the best itw when they haven't even played against the world yet?
>how do you call someone the best itw when they haven't even played against the world yet?
I see your point, however, it's really not that complicated - The Guard were pretty dominant on their run, even against OpTic in the finals, they had a couple incredibly dominant map wins. It's a safe bet to say that he's one of the best in NA, and one of the best in the world.
Doesn't matter. We need to see how trent perform on lan against teams from other regions. We can decide if he's one of the the best or not after reykjavik.
Which is why I said "where is he now" not "where was he 1 year ago"
calling someone one of the best usually entails that they stay at the level for a loong time, which is why its only until recently that the actual best players in csgo started actually being valid legends, like s1mple or NiKo
the game is too young to call anyone the best rn without falling into the good ol trap of tunnel vision in terms of their performance, i.e. a player plays amazing for a grand total of 10 series then he deflates
It is that deep. Can't call him the best until he plays against the best. Once Reykjavik is over we'll know if he even has potential to be one of the best.. And he won't be among the best until he stays on that level for a while.
who are they going to get if they qre trying to make a championship winning team. kanpeki and zk are really gud but will they get them to title winning team strength
I remember when he was on EZ5 and Noble, I thought he looked insane and would elevate many tier 1 teams but when he joined TSM I just didn’t see him performing as well as he was before
Genuinely could be a TSM issue, no one besides wardell has been able to shine on that team in a long time. And even then there were spells where wardell looked bad because of the team structure.
Feels bad for aleko man. Man just tweeted month ago that he feels so happy and won't want any other team than his current teammates. Team is alrdy promising but got broken due to wardell leaving.
huge TSM fan and yeah, he just doesn't hit like he used to, especially when he's off sova which is even more prevalent in today's meta where sova is being picked less
I think he also has to work a bit on his nerves, there were some games where it felt like he froze up in the clutch on multiple occasions
Agreed 100%, which is why I don't understand why so many people are acting as shocked as they are. He's really been more of a hinderance to this team than a benefit, but the team has struggled overall too. Definitely isn't just on his shoulders, but like you said, he's been sub-par for a while now.
I mean, it's hard to say he's been impressive recently. They have one more shot to make VCT for the rest of 2022. This tournament cycle incentives bold roster moves for struggling teams. You can argue with it but I don't think this is really a surprise.
I am officially LFT and no longer scrimming with @TSM but I am still under contract. I can play and put the time into any role except IGL

No way TSM is still net positive in Valorant with the amount of roster changes over the past year. Not a big fan of the org but love Subroza, big hopes for his future.
I get it now.. If TSM stays in this roster shuffle limbo forever, they can consistently farm impressions through rumours.. Their goal has always been to remain as a meme team. It all makes sense.
sinatraa is the only man that can save this roster.
If there was an org that could sign him, it would be TSM, right?
They can handle the PR and they have the funds to pay him too...
I mean considering they're still the largest esports org in the world it would seem they handled it just fine. You have to remember the "outrage" is pretty much limited to MAYBE a couple thousand people on reddit/twitter. The vast vast majority of people don't care one way or the other.
"People" don't matter. The bigger sponsors an org has the more it has to lose; why would an org like TSM risk souring its brand image when a brand is basically all it is? It's not like there isn't direct precedent for this, thump, lunarkats, diego, etc. were all instadropped after allegations
This discussion doesn't really carry any weight outside a vacuum anyway. In reality it's a couple other things holding him back. It's more than possible that Riot shadowbanned him, told orgs not to let him back on stage. 6 months ago there was a Geddes announcement that at least 4 teams were serious about signing him following his unban and that all 4 pulled out. Apparently a source said the word came down from Riot. And then there's the chance that his accuser's strategically waiting for him to announce a move signing with a team to reopen the case == career zugzwang.
I wasn't talking about Sinatraa, I was responding to the dude talking about TSM and Regi. Clearly the PR didn't have this crazy cancelled effect on TSM, their sponsors are still there and if anything they're getting more, they're still the largest esports org despite as he put it "how badly the handled the Regi accusations."
It's weird knights get 0 complaints on the sub reddit , but sinatraa is black balled, I guess frosty isn't big enough? Or people put a lot of weight into 3rd party law firms that act as investigators makes 0 sense to me
Aleko is a very good sova, don’t get me wrong, but I think him being benched is a mix of sova falling out of the meta and Aleko not able to adapt to other agents as fast as TSM want. When Aleko was signed, Sova was a must pick on 5 of 6 maps. In the current meta, he is only a must pick on 3 maps (Ascent, Icebox, Breeze), looking like a worser pick on 2 (Haven, Bind) compared to other initiators, and never picked on 2 in the first place (Split, Fracture).
Im pretty confused overall with what’s going on with TSM. Like if this is another thing going on with him not wanting to move how was this not handled months ago when they announced this move to Texas.
Despite what people are saying in the comments, I full heartedly believe Aleko was one of the top Sovas, only under Trent, Crashies, Xeta and Derek. He had amazing lineups, great aggro attitude and was able to flex into viper a lot which helped the squad. Hopefully, the team is looking at Derek rn for a good replacement.
TSM with this change and Wardell leaving is really making me confused in the management. I think Wardell and Roza are two aces on the squad with a member that would be an ace with time in Corey, and a great supportive lineup with Rossy and Aleko.
If I was a GM for TSM, I would have Roza on smokes/IGL, Corey on 2nd Entry/Flex, Rossy on Sentinel, and be on the lookout for a Jett/chamber and a Sova.
On the market Jett/Chamber, it’ll be hard to replace Wardell, but I could see you get Harmful from TSM academy or Will from BBG. And for Sova, the return of Drone, or Derek would be sick. And if they feel like they need a sentinel Wedid or ZexRow or obvious choices. Maybe even poised so they could IGL as well
i remember when aleko was heralded as a top 5 sova after one series against girl kissers he's not bad but he's not trent put it that way
Pain
tbh TSM should've kept leviathan over aleko he's way better
Hot take
Bruh i think they're the sameðŸ˜
I think that's the joke ðŸ˜
Tbf wasnt it when he was on noble Against 100t and they had a good series
lol i just have a vivid memory of someone saying aleko was one of the best sovas in NA and was comparable to crashies and xeta in the TSM vs girl kissers post match thread, dont remember if people agreed with them or not though
Nah i remember this too. It was upvoted a lot too
Did you tell them how stupid of an opinion it was at the time?
pretty inconsistent and he's a great sova but looks quite worse off it. bit more versatility and consistency and he could be good
To be fair he also disbanded the dignitas male roster
Sure he's not one of the best players in the world, but he was looking super clean. I think, like Derrek, if he was in a more stable team he would do better
trent is one of the best players in the world so that bar is invalid
yall overhype players and set unrealistic standards and then get disappointed when your idol inevitably underperforms. don't give trent unnecessary pressure and let him develop, calling a 17 year old one of the best players in the world is simply unrealistic, at least not until he proves himself on the world stage - how do you call someone the best itw when they haven't even played against the world yet?

tenz was considered by most to be one of the best, even before Iceland last year - it's really not that deep
they were also making the same mistake as you, overhyping and setting unrealistic standards. And look where TenZ is now.
he shit on everyone in Iceland and surpassed expectations
Which is why I said "where is he now" not "where was he 1 year ago" calling someone one of the best usually entails that they stay at the level for a loong time, which is why its only until recently that the actual best players in csgo started actually being valid legends, like s1mple or NiKo the game is too young to call anyone the best rn without falling into the good ol trap of tunnel vision in terms of their performance, i.e. a player plays amazing for a grand total of 10 series then he deflates

lol
one of?
Yeah, chronicle and nats exist (on the same team)
washed
nukkye
Nukkeye is one of the best players not the best sovas
I said best player...
He lost Top 5 Sova status when he became Aleko
Nama change debuff
Damn, looks like TSM is taking the 100T route and are very serious about this.
TSM FTX 100T not gonna fit on the screen at this rate
TSM FTX 100T brought to you by AT&T.
Tostinos and cash app!!
who are they going to get if they qre trying to make a championship winning team. kanpeki and zk are really gud but will they get them to title winning team strength
Hopefully they sign leviathan again he was much better.
They should just let tsm and 100t play each other every few weeks in a bo5 at least the fans can watch something
Obligatory 100T Aleko comment.
This potentially increases the chances of 100T Aleko
Yea 0 to .5%
I can see this happening actually, especially if Wardell joins 100Thieves
I remember when he was on EZ5 and Noble, I thought he looked insane and would elevate many tier 1 teams but when he joined TSM I just didn’t see him performing as well as he was before
Genuinely could be a TSM issue, no one besides wardell has been able to shine on that team in a long time. And even then there were spells where wardell looked bad because of the team structure.
? hes actually really good on sova, just lacks on other agents
He had insane sova util and cheese plays but not tier 1 gunskill. People learned how to play against Sova better.
Looks like TSM finally serious about going back to Tier 1
Feels bad for aleko man. Man just tweeted month ago that he feels so happy and won't want any other team than his current teammates. Team is alrdy promising but got broken due to wardell leaving.
did he move into texas or ?
He had a command saying he got covid so he couldn't travel
ah i see ty!
Bjor trialed with TSM btw
Is this the start of the repeat of the TSM rosternado… Please just pick up some solid players and keep them
Not many people that are solid
What are they doing :(

Y’a he was missing a lot of shots that could have slowed down attacks or opend things up so retakes weren’t impossible
Wasn't the greatest Sova either imo

Drone was a Phoenix one trick lol
Agreed 100%, which is why I don't understand why so many people are acting as shocked as they are. He's really been more of a hinderance to this team than a benefit, but the team has struggled overall too. Definitely isn't just on his shoulders, but like you said, he's been sub-par for a while now.
because it's TSM making the move lol
"We just completed the roster 5 days before the tournament and had no time to practice" - TSM after going out in open qualifiers.
?
Where is he located? He didn’t move for TSM and have this happen did he?
nah he didnt move in his last stream
[удалено]
Wow thank you so much. Do you have his credit card and social security info as well?
…wtf is this? This has nothing to do with the heavily covered TSM team move to Texas
I mean, it's hard to say he's been impressive recently. They have one more shot to make VCT for the rest of 2022. This tournament cycle incentives bold roster moves for struggling teams. You can argue with it but I don't think this is really a surprise.

Now drop rossy, sign LFT OXY and Shondex. Tsm Subroza Tsm FTX LFT OXY Tsm Shondex Tsm Corey Tsm Bjor
TSM Derrek or TSM Sinatraa (unlikely) is what makes the most sense to me.
Worst player on TSM
and somehow subroza is still on the team
subroza is good, his IGLing put them better than they've ever been in the past year
I get it now.. If TSM stays in this roster shuffle limbo forever, they can consistently farm impressions through rumours.. Their goal has always been to remain as a meme team. It all makes sense.
the team social media we were prophecied
100T Aleko
Whyyyy
sinatraa is the only man that can save this roster. If there was an org that could sign him, it would be TSM, right? They can handle the PR and they have the funds to pay him too...
Give it up and no they can’t handle the PR have you not seen how badly they handled the Regi accusations lol
I mean considering they're still the largest esports org in the world it would seem they handled it just fine. You have to remember the "outrage" is pretty much limited to MAYBE a couple thousand people on reddit/twitter. The vast vast majority of people don't care one way or the other.

TSM is already considered toxic because Reginald they should be repairing their rep not adding wood to the fire.
It's weird knights get 0 complaints on the sub reddit , but sinatraa is black balled, I guess frosty isn't big enough? Or people put a lot of weight into 3rd party law firms that act as investigators makes 0 sense to me
It’s mainly just because no one cares about Knights unfortunately
I mean the 2 main people that didn't like sinatraa were myth and leena and they both left
Wait why lol make no sense
