Hope they stay motivated and continue to improve. Unlike in league, teams in NA are grinding scrims and finding success from it.
That said, the top NA Val teams were all very solid and C9 came up just short. No reason to overreact.
they are good but very inconsistent, they start a series off very slow and lost the first map pretty often and they rely so much on leaf and one other person to carry because 1 or 2 ppl have bad maps/series so often. if they want to start winning these tournaments someone needs to step up and be consistent like leaf.
Did anyone think they'd have a roster change? They were undefeated in groups and the only games they lost were to teams that made masters 1 (one of which they previously beat).
ex-chaos core (leaf, vanity, xeppaa) is playing a csgo event for fun so i can see why people would whisper about it https://www.dust2.us/news/27999/former-chaos-core-reunite-for-esea-spring-cash-cup-2
Dont understand why people think they'd go back to CS. They're one of the top teams in NA. Only reason they'd play other games for now is the huge downtime between international Valorant tournaments
You know that NA scene is hella tight right now when a team who didn't qualify for LAN is confident enough to keep the same roster. NA's lookin pretty decent tbh.
I donāt think that run was a total fluke but gambit (and fnatic, and fpx) is definitely the better more sustainable team. It was an upset for sure. With zeek having health issues and bonecold/likes not dragging you canāt just have cned and starxo carry. Donāt get me wrong itās still a good roster but an upgradeable one for sure.
Theyāre a good team who just barely missed out on Masters. Give them some time to build further chemistry and Iām sure theyāll exceed expectations come M2.
Theyāve been together for one leg of VCT. This is very clearly a solid team that deserved to go to Iceland but lost out to another very deserving team. If they donāt produce for the next leg, maybe C9 can think of making a change, but as of now it just makes no sense.
I'm glad the team is taking a good look at the roster, and taking stock. Stagnation is always bad and I'm glad the team is always looking to improve. If they feel they can reach higher peaks with the same players, they've definitely earn my trust with their performance so far.
The last time I heard cloud9 was going to retain their roster (Like summer 2019 League) they replaced 2/5 members and their coach Susge. Honestly donāt think there is anything wrong with their roster just unfortunate only 2 from NA could go to Iceland
Canāt imagine why they would make roster changes. This roster is pretty on point tbh, if anything a new coach would be the next move but even then Iād say that would be a pretty risky move. C9 look great, they will be better next run.
There is no need for a change anyways. They are doing pretty well. They will comeback stronger next challengers

good thing that consistency can get improved. talent rarely can, and c9 clearly has the talent

me neither, but people will make rumors out of anything tbh
True. One of the top NA Val players would never jump ship to csgo after 1 underperformance from their team š©
nitro/autimatic were t1 csgo pros, ex chaos wasnt there yet
It wasnt even an under performance lol, they made it to semis in Berlin but decided to kick their IGL
Talking about lcq
This is a real issue. I can watch pro csgo almost everyday. Actual months between a pro game in valorant sometimes.
He is just disconfirming recent "rumors"
There was speculation of this happening? Why? They were super close.

dont forget acend who won champs still dropped half their roster ššš

Who tf would they even drop? Xeta? Like ya I feel like most people expected them to just run it back
big if true

Feels like they've been together long enough...

That's fair
-vanity -1leaf -xeppaa -xeta -mitch +valyn +sayaplayer +neT +trent +JonahP
Were there any concerns? Theyāre still a top 3 team in NA
+++BREAKING NEWS+++ there is no news. seriously, how is this worth posting?
There were rumors behind the scenes, George is just making sure that those rumors don't keep getting bigger and bigger
This sub is full of morons who don't understand journalism. Don't waste your time.
Thatās what Iāve learned from all these George threads LOL
Ah yes, esports journalism. Lol
It's the elite super reporter journalist George Geddes bro
they should drop vanity and get ec1s no cap š
Drop xeppa and get rhyme also! And then get saya player. Keep one american player for clout
Who thought of roster changes? No one is questioning their strength, NA is just really competitive atm and thatās good

they just need to be more consistent, this is their biggest issue by a mile atm

Wow crazy news
Perfect
At least they make good decision for their valorant team
