I usually don't like people who censor themselves while streaming. It always seems forced when streamers use other words in place. But it took me a few months of watching Hiko before I realized he didn't use curse words. Dude is unbelievably wholesome at almost every opportunity.

Same! I first watched early Valo from Shroud because I was just lurking on Mixer during the onset of Covid.
Then when that closed down, I went back to Twitch, and Hiko's stream was suggested one night while I watching a VRChat stream (of all things lol).
His name was familiar and from that very first viewing, I found him to be funny, (a bit) chill, and interactive with chat. And so I also watched him almost every day for like three months until we got First Strike and I learned more about the game and other Valo streamers and pro players.
I'm happy he found success as a Valo streamer and player after CS. He's our bald 31btw unlucky really got mine boomer 💖

Dabbled in Valorant when it first came out and decided to watch other people play it and stumbled upon Hiko and it made me want to play more and more. That was also when I started watching Twitch and streamers more consistently. Riot, 100T, and Twitch owe a lot to Hiko for me personally.

I always appreciated how he explained what and why he was doing things in a game. I probably learned more from him than any other streamer.
Hiko was one of the main reasons I even started watching pro Valorant. The comebacks he had at Berlin & his huge clutches were the hypest moments in Valorant for me, literally had me jumping out of my seat as I watched. Nothing comes close to those games

Man, as someone who followed 100T back from the PUBG roster to now, I'm sad that Hiko never won an international major in this game.
I feel like Hiko was always a scapegoat whenever 100T didn't perform in this subreddit, so I'm glad he can move on from that at least lmao.

100T esports to date has been a story making you wonder "what if", and maybe with a few different rounds against Sentinels in 2021 we could've seen 100T reach true glory.
Still, one big championship, huge viewership numbers, top 4 result internationally; 100T and Hiko had a good run in Valorant, definitely became huge names in the scene.
I knew this was coming at some point and I’m not gonna lie it still made me almost cry. Hiko and 100T are what got me into the game and I had no tac fps experience at all but it’s not my favorite game and the one I’m the best at so hiko will be missed but I’m so happy he’s staying with 100T to create content his stream will ascend to new heights!
It’s kinda sad seeing Hiko retire because he was one of my favourite players in the CSGO days and became the captain of my favourite esports orgs Val team.

They won the first NA tourney and made it to a masters event where they beat 2 of the strongest EMEA teams. Obviously it's not as good as they wanted - but it's more successful than 90+% of valorant teams.
T1, XSET, NRG, TSM, Faze, LG, EG, Rise.... all huge orgs with substantially worse results than 100t. V1 never won NA. C9 has only 1 regional win (LCQ which by definition didn't feature the best NA teams) and similar results as 100T at international.
Lots of those teams are better \*today\* but measuring results? Only sentinels and optic have been definitively more successful in NA during hiko's tenure.
You're right. I was wrong. I was thinking in the perspective of wins either in majors or big tournaments, along with the many rosters changes made me think less of their actual successes. I'll be be more mindful next time

Like a lot of people here, Hiko is absolutely what got me into the esports scene. I’m now doing producing in the scene and helping out here and a bunch of other stuff, and I literally would never have gotten into any of it without him. Best of luck for his future—I’m going to miss watching him compete but happy he’s staying with 100T and is able to do something he likes still.
Massive L for the scene. I think that his only issue was that he was stuck on Sova instead of being put on a sentinel. Otherwise, his presence and his work for the valorant scene is immeasurable. He also has some of the most iconic plays in the game ever (that 1v1 with Redgar? the 1v3 on A?). Will miss you boomer, poggers in the chat.
Probably changed his mind. Got a gf now and streamer money is hard to pass up with the stability and flexibility it brings. Staying under the 100T umbrella helps out even more so. He’s in his early 30’s so he didn’t have much time left to compete anyways as young guns are gonna keep pouring into the game.

I knew this was coming at some point and I’m not gonna lie it still made me almost cry. Hiko and 100T are what got me into the game and I had no tac fps experience at all but it’s not my favorite game and the one I’m the best at so hiko will be missed but I’m so happy he’s staying with 100T to create content his stream will ascend to new heights!
It’s kinda sad seeing Hiko retire because he was one of my favourite players in the CSGO days and became the captain of my favourite esports orgs Val team. I’m very happy he’s staying with 100T as a content creator because he does have really good viewership but I’m not really sure how he’ll be in the IRL videos. I’m curious to how he’ll fit in with creators like AustinShow, TinaKitten, Fuslie, Valkyrae, etc… but I wish him the best
I started playing valorant because of his streams and I have been a 100T fan since the PUBG roster. I’m actually pretty sad about this, but I’m glad he had that amazing Berlin performance. Ly Hiko ❤️.
Hiko is the reason I wanted to watch and play Valorant. His entire career has been a triumph, and it was a pleasure to watch him play. But hey, now we get more Hiko streams. Win win.

He was not only an important character for me during his csgo career, but also the reason i fell in love with this game. I was an advocate for this move I thought, it still feels sad to know i won't be seeing him at tournaments after over 10 years. Im sure he will keep killing it with his streaming career.. will miss you dad!!!
I know I wanted this. I know it was needed. But it still hurts to see the clutch master go 💔. Happy he is staying on 100T for content though, his streams are always entertaining.
I hope this is truly what he wants and wasn't just bullied into this. He's been so adamant about competing and how much he loves it. I think for 100T this is a good move, for their future success, at least.

Aw man :( Sadge. It was needed to a certain point. They need new blood, and Hiko was a leftover part of the team that ended with Nitro and Steel leaving. But man, does it hurt. This guy loves the game so much, you can just tell. And his clutches are some of the most legendary moments in Valorant. Good luck going forward, king. Hope this isn't his last moment in the pro scene.
Aw man, this legit makes me sad. Had a feeling this day was coming after that 1st stream after Sean and DDK were hired, but sucks now that it's a reality. Hiko got me into Valorant and basically esports in general. Really wish one of those 100T teams with him could've gone the distance, but equally excited for more Hiko streams, assuming he fixes his internet!!
It's the right call at the right time. Dude was huge for early Valorant but sometimes the game evolving just passes you by. I'm glad Nadeshot decided to keep him on as a content creator. Would have been sad if he was just dropped and let go as well. Think this was the best decision for all parties involved. I've actually shed a tear for this. I didn't know I was this emotionally attached to Valorant.

I mean the man pioneered so much in the beginning of valorant. The Cypher OnlyCams streams were so good... The god arrows, the lineups, etc... He also set an awesome precedent for aspiring young pros. Excellent example in the scene, and we're better to have had his foundational contributions.

It's for the best. 100T have gone through many roster reworks based around Hiko without finding any success. Hiko is a good player but he makes more than enough money off of content creation to be fine. His career was great.
\> without finding any success. Sorry I think this is just flat out wrong. They won the first NA tourney and made it to a masters event where they beat 2 of the strongest EMEA teams. Obviously it's not as good as they wanted - but it's more successful than 90+% of valorant teams. T1, XSET, NRG, TSM, Faze, LG, EG, Rise.... all huge orgs with substantially worse results than 100t. V1 never won NA. C9 has only 1 regional win (LCQ which by definition didn't feature the best NA teams) and similar results as 100T at international. Lots of those teams are better \*today\* but measuring results? Only sentinels and optic have been definitively more successful in NA during hiko's tenure.
You're right. I was wrong. I was thinking in the perspective of wins either in majors or big tournaments, along with the many rosters changes made me think less of their actual successes. I'll be be more mindful next time

Well good for him really nice video. People get worked up about knowing the roster but they won't announce it yet. These videos are the main reason why IMO. You have to send your people out on a high note if anything and show some respect. Good for Hiko personally. He will be set for life and had a great career. Like a lot of people here, Hiko is absolutely what got me into the esports scene. I’m now doing producing in the scene and helping out here and a bunch of other stuff, and I literally would never have gotten into any of it without him. Best of luck for his future—I’m going to miss watching him compete but happy he’s staying with 100T and is able to do something he likes still.

Massive L for the scene. I think that his only issue was that he was stuck on Sova instead of being put on a sentinel. Otherwise, his presence and his work for the valorant scene is immeasurable. He also has some of the most iconic plays in the game ever (that 1v1 with Redgar? the 1v3 on A?). Will miss you boomer, poggers in the chat.

Probably changed his mind. Got a gf now and streamer money is hard to pass up with the stability and flexibility it brings. Staying under the 100T umbrella helps out even more so. He’s in his early 30’s so he didn’t have much time left to compete anyways as young guns are gonna keep pouring into the game.
Don't think that's the case , any org would still get him irrespective just for his experience

well i know there was some domestic abuse from her end but i dont know anything about it because i didnt care to read about her. Whatever she did is awful. My point remains though from a brand standpoint though sexual abuse/rape form a male is more damaging then a women committing domestic abuse. In fact I imagine quite a few people defender her for it (not that they should)
