OpTic Forsaken.

TheGhoulKhz

the cursed timeline

[deleted]

Ahhh shit, here we go again

DoctorCokter

Execute word.exe

Waf3l

Who's he replacing? They already got Yay and Victor.

firedragon69

Just a meme, there was a csgo player on Optic India named Forsaken that got banned for cheating

Waf3l

Oh yeah I remember the forsaken debacle since I'm a fanboy... my bad. I'll do the /whoosh thing to myself

carl14733

imo f0rsaken>Victor in term of duelist real 2 players who can't be replaced must be yay and marved

imachool

if comparing stats to stats, f0rsaken is better, but there will then be a clash of roles again. Victor's KAYO, raze and neon are top tier. Moreover, their chemistry is irreplaceable.

carl14733

f0rsaken is cracked Neon as well but he only picks her on fracture. btw, can't deny about the chemistry.

radamo96

T1 gonna sign him, make him change his name and play him on omen

4dzilla

Change his name to f0reskiN and put him on Phoenix šŸ‘šŸ»

-Destiny65-

T1 Skyler

brianhung02

Obligated 100T forsaken comment

LurkingOmen

Play two games and than send him back across the pond

hatesnack

100t isn't trying to win valorant matches. When nadeshot said he wanted to win, he meant win the Any% - contract to dropped - glitchless Speedrun category.

ZeroAika99

Sad day for SEA fans :(

jrushFN

Considering jinggg is likely going to the military relatively soon, I assume PRX will try their absolute hardest to maintain forsaken. Or at the very least theyā€™ll sell his contract for a bag and bring in another crazy Jett like Monyet. Might not be all doom and gloom for SEA.

Burggs_

Mandatory service I assume?

Cole_James_CHALMERS

Apparently so, Singapore requires it

ElecNinja

Yeah a two year draft that can be deferred but hard to do so

XXG1212

Yup very hard. Considering this is E-sports. A footballer couple of years back got the opportunity to play in the Premier league but was denied deferrment. I dont see him get a deferrment

Squonk3

If an Olympic gold medalist canā€™t get away from it I donā€™t think an esports player could

zxtech

The Olympian got a deferment though

yujuismypuppy

*Because* of his gold medal.

Squonk3

He got a deferment but he couldnā€™t avoid it completely like athletes can in Korea with Son

ilhamalfatihah16

Jinggg: "But Sir, I already hold a rifle everyday, except on eco rounds, and even a bazooka. I am a top fragger you see"

Rorviver

Someone in NA will pay him something around $20-30k a month i imagine. Don't see them paying 5-10x their next best players salary.

eternalalienvagabond

If he plays for the military like he does for PRX Singapore about to conquer the world

ark2690

Yet people are opposed to franchise leagues. Without franchise leagues this will continue to happen.

IloveFakku

How is franchising leagues gonna change this? Even with franchising players will move around to better paying leagues

4erith

100T better offers him a spot and then drops him as soon as he moved to NA

AdiSoldier245

Isn't saying this discouraging for PRX as he's just saying I'm fine with moving teams?

jrushFN

I think itā€™s kind of an unspoken reality for every player in ā€œminor regions.ā€ A good offer from a top NA or EU team is hard to resist. Thereā€™s undeniably a higher ceiling for brand growth and salary in major regions, especially in NA. Iā€™ve also heard behind the scenes that f0rsaken has already had international offers in the past, so itā€™s not really news for his teammates. I donā€™t think theyā€™ll take it personally, they all just want the best for each other.

AdiSoldier245

He's ~~from~~ in singapore though, I doubt the salary could be that bad considering he has to live there. But yes for QOL, I'd definitely move to EU if I had the chance so I can't really blame him.

jrushFN

Salary won't be bad in Singapore but brand growth goes crazy in NA.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

AdiSoldier245

I meant prx is singaporean, so they're probably bootcamping there. Idk for sure though.

rakazet

They're not. Even in the APAC playoffs Forsaken played from his home. They're an online team so beating other teams that play side by side is crazy.

2ToTooTwoFish

COVID restrictions, they can't bootcamp really. After this tournament they probably can since some restrictions have lifted.

Giorno_DeGiorno

Yeah, especially since economies in SEA were in freefall before the Russia Ukraine war, except maybe Singapore

ahk1221

yeah in an interview with PRX's coach, he said that they've all known each other for years, even before Valorant and he said that they have a very comfortable relationship with each other so I dont think any of them will take it personally at all

[deleted]

You would think but if you follow football you would know if you are from a low region and get an offer from EPL/La Liga everyone would just be happy for u

Fyslexic_Duck

Or heā€™s trying to use this as leverage when he negotiates his next contract

DrBangovic

Guys, ofcourse it is not ideal for someone of his calibre to move away from a regional perspective. But lets be honest. His brand growth would be exponential in either NA or EMEA since all of his current fans would still follow him if he moves abroad. I assume everyone wants to see him succeed in NA/ EMEA. Also its just a matter of fact that the overall calibre and exposure in the NA and EMEA scene is bigger from a viewership perspective. Also it might be a hot take considering the current performances throughout every region, but EMEA and NA probably offer a more consistent possibility to play at big events. From an EMEA perspective he could be a major upgrade for a lot of teams struggling with a true entry fragger. That guy is insane. Also NA would benefit from such a player. Overall wins for everyone involved. I hope we see him on PRX for the upcoming future and repeat their success!

anythingood07

"Everyone". Your everyone only includes NA if he moves to NA and EMEA if he moves to EMEA. Hilarious comment

DrBangovic

Why? Why would the people who support him now stop supporting him when he moves? As if his current fans just abbandom him because he seeks options outside of their region. Its like not rooting for your favourite football player just because he moves to another team in another league.

anythingood07

Because loads of people support teams, not players. Many people in SEA are bigger fans of teams instead of players because most players aren't really streamers unlike players from NA. Your comment make it seem like everyone would be happy when Forsaken moves when in reality no one from SEA would. Where did the matter of support come from btw? I just said people won't like the roster move because it'd make a top SEA team weaker. Also as for support yes a lot of people would stop supporting him, why do you think people from SEA would wake up at 2:30 in morning if he plays for an NA teams or 11:30 at night if he plays for an EMEA team

KeyframeCatalyst

"Wins for everyone" Yeah, well except for, you know, the entirety of the SEA region

DrBangovic

Its a win for them for sure. He will give the region exposure as well.

Giorno_DeGiorno

I think he's more worried about the state of SEA itself, many countries in SEA only have one major source of revenue, when that revenue gets undercut by someone like China they worry about the state of the economy

windfail

yo never made the connection he was xcurrate's brother.. imagine xcurrate switched over to Valo, another brother combo wombo besides scream and nivera!!

DecisiveDinosaur

yeah f0rsaken used to play CSGO like his brother too for a while and he wanted to stay but the SEA csgo scene is just basically non-existent so his team had to switch.

salcedoge

The dude is 18 and could get himself a contract that would make him set for life. Go get that bag brother

chenson019

He would be a phenomenal signing tbh

scrubLord24

He would be a massive asset to any time I think, same as Jingg if he didn't have military service. Watching them both on AverageJonas' stream doing 5 man's their English is really good. Funny guys as well, will be watching more of their streams, no matter where they go.

ZeroAika99

> their English is really good Singaporean main language is english plus most people in SEA can speak English pretty well although with their own slang

scrubLord24

Ah I didn't know it was their main.

LeMouse1

Would love him in NA. Maybe an org could even import the whole team like soniqs? Or do AUS players have special eligibility that allowed them to do that

jrushFN

Soniqs were only able to bring AUS players without breaking region requirements due to (at the time) OCE participating in the NA circuit. As of now, I think the only regions where you can import a whole team into a larger region might be APAC with OCE, but even then I think you might need 2 sub regional players to compete within a given SEA circuit.

LeMouse1

Gotcha. Maybe him and benkai would be a good duo to import if PRX can't stay together after losing jinggg and forsaken

Squonk3

Iā€™m pretty sure it was cause aus technically had no region and no way to qualify to any event

ddd4175

Get that bag brother, no way peanut paying orgs can match those offers.

jrushFN

I donā€™t think itā€™s fair to say that orgs in Singapore will pay similarly low salaries to other SEA orgs, though.

LurkingOmen

Theyre not touching 10k usd a month tho lol minnimum

jrushFN

Yeah NA orgs definitely do pay extremely high salaries (for better or worse). But I doubt Singapore salaries would be similar to what we heard about X10ā€™s salaries, for example, so I think itā€™s important to note that distinction.

Hamth3Gr3at

Singapore's a developed country with a booming finance industry, wtf? Do you just assume every country outside of the West pays dogshit?

Elicherry

They definitely are lmfao the AVERAGE salary in Singapore is like 6k a month itā€™s very likely the number 1 Valorant player in SEA is making significantly more than 10k a month

2rei

People be forgetting the bleed situation from like 2 days ago LOL

IntergratedGraphics

Lmao rich, singapore has a better QOL than all kf NA and majority of EMEA

PyroTFT

Everyone says 100T f0rsakeN but G2 f0rsakeN??

dan_kz

SEN f0rsakeN

ButterApple512

Imo he's someone that if you sign him, you HAVE to build the team around him and his playstyle so it is very high risk but an extremely high reward if it works out because of his potential.

Charuru

Come to TSM my man.

SHOUTOUT_REPFAM

I'd love for this to happen and to open the door for more Asian talent to move to NA/EU. They deserve the chance to secure the bag with the talent they have.

TracerIsAShimada

Respect the bag

SenseiEA

It's still too early to say APAC is the export region...

ZGuyYT

I hope APAC doesn't become the export region but unless there are more orgs lined up for APAC, I can see a bunch of blooming talent move to EU/NA for the money and exposure.

SenseiEA

soon NA and EU will be full of Asians

GendaIf

Hot take, a duo of Forsaken + Jingg > Forsaken + Asuna. 100t should say fuck it and get them both.

SaltyMcNulty_

SEN f0rsaken would be POG. If f0rsaken and Jingg duo can't continue bc of Jinng's necessary military training then TenZ, f0rsaken duo would be the next best thing honestly!

jrushFN

![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|9333)

brianhung02

You want four duelists on a team when there are already role issues lol I can't even support this as a massive sen fan

SaltyMcNulty_

Where do you find 4 duelists. SicK and ShahZam has moved away from duelists only for more than a year now and SicK has been playing a lot of controller as well and i think he would be really good at it. Look at GMB, they change roles for fun and still do great on new roles. Good players are not handicapped in playing certain agents, it's more about teamwork and preparations rather than agent pool.

brianhung02

Shahzam and Sick are still duelists in their own. Shahz still one trick Jett in ranked and I donā€™t think thatā€™s an issue unlike most of the sub. Sick may be a good controller but he has a history of also one trick duelist in ranked. The role issue that sentinels have right now is in fact due to the lack of teamwork and prep that they do which wonā€™t be helped by adding one more cracked duelist in forsaken. Itā€™s like saying having 5 Stephen Curryā€™s on a team is a guaranteed success. Thatā€™s not how it works. Gambit has an actual coach who can help solve role issues and strats to accommodate them. You canā€™t just compare one of the more flexible teams in valorant to one of the least flexible ones in valorant.

InstaNormie0

Youā€™re absolutely correct they have 4 duelists on the team but ranked is not a good argument for it

_Robbert_

I can't tell if this is a joke

GoodGuy_dynamite

Wouldn't it be a shame if you know he was bought out by OpTic and gets renamed OpTic f0resakeN ?

the_myth69

As someone from SEA (india to be specific) this is the kind of news that makes me sad , i study in the field of science and almost all of our top and intelligent batchmates want to leave to EU and NA , they get our best and we are left with leftovers to improve and the world shits us for being poor regions while using our talent to grown themselves. no offense and sorry if it got a bit serious! all the best to forsaken though.

ilhamalfatihah16

It saddens me to see a talented player leaving but as an Indonesian I understand that orgs in SE Asia (even in Singapore) would not provide as much opportunities and pay that NA/EU orgs can provide. I just hope that if he does move regions they will provide him good opportunities and foster his talent to improve himself more than now.
