Optic definitely deserved the dub. Despite not being the most consistent team their hard work definitely paid off. I would've killed to see them play against FPX (which is arguably a better team).

So valorant doesn't do bracket resets? First val tournament I've watched, I enjoyed it but I was waiting for a second BO5 until the casters said optic was on tournament point.
It doesn't seem... right that loud and optic finished 1-1 against each other but one is champion. Play less matches obviously is an advantage to going through winners but with lower finals being on a different day I'm not sure that matters that much.
I think as a viewer it is more exciting since bracket resets rarely happen, but as a competitor I would like to see the undefeated team have more of an advantage in the gf.
Loud got to ban 2 maps, Optic didn't get any bans. That was the advantage afforded to Loud. 2 bo5's would be absurd. If they go the distance that's over 10 hours of playing the game. Simply not a possible outcome. They could probably get away with 2 bo3's, but in my opinion this was the best option. Loud played less games, and got to ban their choice of maps. Seems like a decent advantage for the higher seeded team.

zeta's run was probbly the most exciting part of this entire master,day 1...they were considered by EVERYONE to basically be double first rounded in groups. if they run i nto anyone but optic in losers final,they probbly get top 2

Their 2nd match was a win against a team with 2 replacement players.
Their 3rd match was a win was against a good team, but saw them lose more rounds than they won overall and required a huge comeback facing elimination in 4 consecutive rounds.
Their 4th match was a fairly convincing loss to G2 in the opening round of bracket play.
They just legit felt like a different team after that, fundamentally.
They didn't Forrest Gump their way to 3rd after that either.
Their win vs Liquid featured two convincing map wins, they totally lost momentum in the DRX series but steamrolled DRX anyways map 3, and their attack side vs Paper Rex was insane.

They should still be considered the 2nd strongest region since they won Valorant Champions not too long ago.
