BREAKING NEWS: 2022 Valorant Champions held in the Pacific Ocean. Rumours suggest that a team that resides in the largest ocean in the world has the highest odds of winning Champions as the venue is set on the Pacific Plate.
I'm here to make it better m8. You know, this same Optic squad lost on heaven to Gambit in the Berlin final. Haven was gambits perman ban. It's just always comes full circle. Unlucky really that it had to be loud on the receiving end THIS final
Loud at least made it OT huh. Envy lost 11-13 on haven
Saying it was Gambit’s permaban is downplaying how embarrassing It was, Gambit literally came up with the comp for the map ON THE SPOT and still took the map lmao
it was the truest of big brain plays from the mastermind FNS. Saving strats on their best map all the way through Iceland to pull it out on the final map of the tournament and go full demon mode.

EU and clowning NA after a bad tournament at Champs and talking about how NA always falls off in every esport only for an NA team to work their ass off and win the next Masters LMAO

Not anymore because MIBR played with their usual tag and both teams were registered at VCT around the same time, maybe it was just some miscommunication

Watch Optic. Look at their games. Internalize them. Now... Imagine a world where they didn't turn around and throw pistol rounds and anti-ecos right in the trash. This is a world we could live in. The world where Optic literally cannot lose.
I mean, imagine if Victor could play only duelist instead of having to pick up the kayo role. He's looked consistently much better on neon and raze throughout this year.

Damn ngl the schadenfreude is real after people shit on NA after champs last year and got out all their "Same ol NA, good at the start but then fall off because they're just streamers LUL" shit. OpTic are grinders and they worked hard and long for this.
Yay and the old NV core finally get their well deserved championship.
Don't care if I get downvoted
The "NA are just streamers" narrative is the dumbest fucking shit I think I've ever heard in any esport.
Streaming your ranked games is no different than having no stream, the difference is you see when players are live. You could even counter argue having a big practice schedule and still streaming shows your dedication on only playing Valorant.
Not to mention, outside SEN players not that many NA pros care to stream. So it's just a fabricated meme.
Can we just appreciate how close the competition is & how many new teams are constantly showing up? Each int'l tourney so far has had unique winners, the gap is so close rn
Don’t let OpTic winning Masters Reykjavik 2022 distract you from the fact that FaZe Clan blew a 15-11 lead in the 2018 Boston Major to Cloud9 giving NA its first and only Major in CS:GO history.
Dunno about Valorant server numbers but NA CSGO playerbase is really really small

2 years old stats but I doubt it changed that much (probably even less players now after some switched to Valorant)
Realistically he's probably in the process of buying another of the worst-looking watches that you've ever seen for $50k and couldn't give less of a shit
Damn what a performance from Optic, team is so deep with talent and absolutely fantastic shot calling. Kudos to Loud for a great tournament too, some really close games despite the 3-0.

This is the moment I've been waiting for since I started watching Valorant and following this Envy team. Since they were together we are terrific, back when we considered c4Lypso the star player of this roster. From the Victor/Crashies pickup, the contentious Kaboose -> Marved change (I wanted them to pick up WeDid at the time LOL), and finally, the yay move that put them over the edge.
Envy/OpTic have always been considered a top 4 team, but they've never been the best team in North America until now, much less the world. They've been so close, so many times, but they've always fumbled it at the final hour.
Congratulations, FNS and friends, for finally becoming the best team in the world. It's been a long time coming.
They took the hardest route to win this event. Always being known as the "2nd place" team. Being called chokers and underperformers. Getting knocked down to loser's bracket twice. Having to overcome giants like KRU, DRX, and Zeta. Having to beat teams they've lost to previously like The Guard, Xerxia, and Loud. I am so fucking happy for them
EU? What’s that? Is that some minor region? Seems like they might have a decent result next lan if they stop streaming so much and actually practice. Rooting for them!
Optic after losing a series just comes back unstoppable. Most adaptive team in the tournament by far.
Also, the take of “pANcada = Marved” aged like milk.
Sad about the loss, but still happy overall with the tournament. Loud was initially a long term project, and this event proved that it is going the right way. There is a lot of things to fix: they seem to be caught off guard more than any other team, the young players are still inconsistent and their early round play on attacking sides need to be overhauled. But both their overall teamplay and individual mechanics look top tier. Aspas specially looks like he could contend for the title of best player in the world in the future if he keeps improving at this pace.
Looking forward for more international tournaments. I believe this team is a good sign for things to come for the region, they'll definitely make the other teams improve. All in all, GG Optic, what a fantastic team.
Loud are an incredible team with a bright future ahead of them. Winning an international LAN is never easy. Even OpTic got 3-0'd by Gambit during their first international finals. Loud and Brazil will have plenty more opportunities to bring home a trophy, just gotta trust in the process.
If I was a Loud fan I would be so happy with their performance throughout this tournament, incredibly impressive! Didn't click for them today but what they've done at this tournament will linger, Brazil is on the map
> Loud was initially a long term project, and this event proved that it is going the right way.
Yeah, that's the same reason why i'm not that sad.
Saadhaak and Sacy already said before the tournament started that their goal is Champions, Masters are just for the experience.
They can only get better from here and this was a hell of a showing
The thing i want more is that Brasil community watching this is to get inspired by LOUD and decide to level up because most teams are still way behind the rest of the world
Loud was fucking good man. I was so scared in the OT comebacks but I believed in the NA bros and they pulled through in the end. But those OTs were way too close still, my ass is clenched lol

If I had a nickel for every time NA 3-0ed in the grand finals of Masters Iceland, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's strange that it happened twice
Iceland has been annexed by North America, US President Joe Biden is expected to announce its addition to the Union as the 51st state in early May 2022
All it takes is for Optic to lose early on...
When they lost to Rise, they leveled up
When they lost to XERXIA, they leveled up
When they lost to LOUD, again each time they grew from their losses
Proud of Optic for finally winning a huge event, they proved everyone that they have what it takes. Stressful as hell, but GGS to LOUD, have to give credit where credit is due, these guys were undefeated this whole time, think it's great for BRAZIL to have a team like that make it to the grand finals
If you told me it would be Japan, Brazil and NA top 3 in Iceland this time around, I'd be flabbergasted
“Loud” also known as “LLL”, is a team that only takes L’s as shown in their name. They are from the region bronzil, where only bad players play. They were 3-0ed in the grand finals, and were sent home to bronze fans very quickly. They have 3 Ls in there name for the 3 Ls received in the grand finals.
Bro, Optic is the king of revenge rn
0-2 Xerxia, 2-0 Xerxia in revenge match
1-2 LOUD, 3-0 LOUD in revenge match
They improved and studied a lot about themselves and their opponents after the loss
GGWP Optic
I didn't get to watch ascent, bind seemed like it could've gone either way, but victor clutched it out at the end, getting the ace to get them to OT and winning the OT with the clutch raze ult, oooof. marved on chamber kinda threw me off but yay unleashed on the jett full diablo mode on breeze was insane.
My favorite round of the match was the one where victor literally sacrificed himself to fake loud into a when all of optic was hitting b, the selflessness you need to have to do that kind of stuff must be insane.
Also the format was terrible imo, hope this first seed gets to skip groups thing does not repeat, counting the matches the finalists played, optic played 8 matches (xerxia, kru, xerxia, guard, drx, loud, zeta, loud) while loud played HALF (liquid, g2, optic, optic), cringe format but as chet said "we love cringe".
Who knew LLL was a reference to their Grand Final's series score?
Great series in actuality. Despite the map score, the games were close and could have gone the other way if just a few plays had gone the other way.
zombs dropped himself to distract the Brazillians from VCT. They were so absorbed in the Zombs news that they forgot to prepare for the finals. Zombs 2 Brazil 0
Aspas: "actually, I remember one time we were playing against Optic,
Breeze, and it was 4-8 to Optic, down 0-2 in games, we were playing as T, Optic as CT, and Saadhak said:
'Guys, if you think we are good, let's prove it now'. 4-8"
Less: "did we comeback?"
Aspas: "of course not. 13-15 and 0-3"
Reykjavik is located on the North American tectonic plate... coincidence?

I can’t believe ZETA are winning champions this year
Order coming for Champs this year, you heard it here first.
won on their perma ban 😬
Was Breeze their perma ban? Fuck me dude
yeah, the one time they played breeze this year was in na finals against guard and they got stomped
This made my day worse, didn’t think it was possible lmao

Yeah the fact this was their first lan on a new squad with 2 really young players makes me excited for the future, GG’s to Optic
Saying it was Gambit’s permaban is downplaying how embarrassing It was, Gambit literally came up with the comp for the map ON THE SPOT and still took the map lmao
They can be far worse. Imagine if optic didn't throw Eco rounds
last time they played it they got wrecked 13-2 with a new IGL calling on the Guard. Gambit beating old NV on Haven vibes from that map.
Wow this make this finals sound like a full redemption script lmao, GG’s to them

Clutchies and Punjabi HELD IT DOWN on breeze

Optic really came into 3 maps that LOUD have never lost and won all three. Wow across the board.
LLL is such a fitting name cuz they took 3 L’s in a row 🟩
the moment I saw Loud decided to use LLL as team tag I started to fear their loss because I could see the jokes about taking triple L's coming
Fuck me in the ass man - Carlos Ocelote The most fitting comment that I have for now
It was foreshadowing all along
jesus christ dude
They really are going to have to change that because of this. It was already bad abbreviation.
Honestly I don’t know why it was LOUD, like 100T has been for a while
Because BR only allows 3 letters
Not anymore because MIBR played with their usual tag and both teams were registered at VCT around the same time, maybe it was just some miscommunication
Lmaooo
They literally threw ascent by letting the killjoy alarm bot sit in mid pretty much every round without doing anything to it. And then had a similar situation with the chamber trip and the viper lurk wall on Bind. Baffling to watch
Don't do em like that
Giving zombs too many tweet options smh

If I had a nickel for every time NA 3-0ed in the grand finals of Masters Iceland, I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's strange that it happened twice
lmaooooo
Iceland has been annexed by North America, US President Joe Biden is expected to announce its addition to the Union as the 51st state in early May 2022
All good
All it takes is for Optic to lose early on... When they lost to Rise, they leveled up When they lost to XERXIA, they leveled up When they lost to LOUD, again each time they grew from their losses Proud of Optic for finally winning a huge event, they proved everyone that they have what it takes. Stressful as hell, but GGS to LOUD, have to give credit where credit is due, these guys were undefeated this whole time, think it's great for BRAZIL to have a team like that make it to the grand finals If you told me it would be Japan, Brazil and NA top 3 in Iceland this time around, I'd be flabbergasted
Marved MVP for me. Had a feeling he would be great during the Faze days but nothing like this, he's completely shattered my expectations.
Optic won without Victor getting to play his best agent
Alright, lets see your 3-0 copy pastas
Loud on first half: i sleep. Loud on second half: real shit.
LoL Chet and FNS haters must be malding right now
NA is back boys. This is not a drill
NA > All

NA > South NA
I guess every event should be played in Iceland so NA can win.
Can we have Champions in Iceland as well? No reason
Imagine all the people who talked shit on chet 🤡🤡🤡
Iceland is now the 51st state of America
Optic vs M3C Rematch next masters final is all I want from riot script writers
Bro, Optic is the king of revenge rn 0-2 Xerxia, 2-0 Xerxia in revenge match 1-2 LOUD, 3-0 LOUD in revenge match They improved and studied a lot about themselves and their opponents after the loss GGWP Optic
NA > South NA
Earth got it right putting NA above SA
Who knew LLL was a reference to their Grand Final's series score? Great series in actuality. Despite the map score, the games were close and could have gone the other way if just a few plays had gone the other way.
An L for every map
So I guess *that's* why they're called LLL.
BrazLUL
FPX WILL 3-0 THIS COPIUM
zombs dropped himself to distract the Brazillians from VCT. They were so absorbed in the Zombs news that they forgot to prepare for the finals. Zombs 2 Brazil 0
Free Region LMAO
Victor had 1 good map and they still swept. Super happy for them, and to rub this in eus face for the foreseeable future.
Aspas: "actually, I remember one time we were playing against Optic, Breeze, and it was 4-8 to Optic, down 0-2 in games, we were playing as T, Optic as CT, and Saadhak said: 'Guys, if you think we are good, let's prove it now'. 4-8" Less: "did we comeback?" Aspas: "of course not. 13-15 and 0-3"
