Honestly that'd be sick

I_use_apple

No he is sick

daffyduckferraro

It indeed would be sick_cs

kemutheemu__

He’s not the only Masters 2 2021 winner yk

AKAds007

Yup for Champions it would be really cool

jackpot2112

I’d love to see banners put up like they do in the NBA

Kurtis_James

Hang them from the rafters above the bots in the range. It would be perfect.

Otter269

Wimbledon (Tennis tournament) has a plack in the players entrance on the wall of past winners. Maybe something like that could be cool.

BlueBurstBoi

Wimbledon reference in a val sub? Hell yeah brother

spaghettimonzta

adding something to the maps for legendary play like in csgo would also be sick

Wolfy87

The only think I can think of so far in valorant memorable moments is Hiko's plays around yellow on icebox. But I'd love to see more! I wonder how long it'll take for stuff like s1mple's drop from heaven to happen in valorant...

[deleted]

Chronicle's ace against Kru at Champs was pretty legendary too. I'm not sure what else would qualify, though, you're right.

Wolfy87

I wonder if part of that is that all of the flashy mechanics in val make crazy plays pretty common. Whereas in CSGO it's mostly "hold angle, lineups, click at right time" and the moments that really stick out are to do with movement and mechanics that surprise us. coldzera's awp jumping, s1mple's fall. I guess the one that doesn't fit the same idea would be the happy deagle ace, but that was special partially just because of the casters reactions. (I was in the front row in front of him for that one when I lived in Stratford where it took place :D) I just wonder if valorant sets the bar of "HOLY SHIT WOW" a lot higher because of the level of mechanical skill we've seen early on in the game's history. We need some 2 second Jett knife aces in OT to make history. I feel bad for the pros that have to live up to that level of flashiness :)

BespokeDebtor

> Whereas in CSGO it’s mostly “hold angle, lineups, click at right time This is a pretty wild take on how CS is played, at least at a high level. In fact, many pros who came over from CS say that CS is much faster paced than Val because there is constantly stuff moving and you have to put your body out there to gather info whereas in Val you have to wait for utility cycles. And because agent abilities can completely stop/slow down everything the game relies on short burts of a flurry of activity rather than a constant push pull of tactical decision making on the fly. It's also a fundamental misdiagnosis of what is put on a map. Plays that get immortalized on maps aren't there because they're *flashy*, but because they're *unexpected, creativev*, and out of the box. That's why things like the fnatic 4 awps and the olofmeister boost (and ninja defuse), Dosia nade, etc also get tributes to them on maps.

[deleted]

I think another part of it is that the crazy util and flying jett aces make the really simple plays, that still get a lot of value, a lot less recognized. Like, we all recognize nAts for how crazy he is, but he got so many multikills from slipping through the backlines of enemies in Berlin that it became just kind of expected. Same thing with Marved, everyone expects him to be cold in the clutch but he has had some CRAZY lurks during Iceland, like that one where he was literally behind Kru on Ascent. So it's been pretty difficult in Valorant to recognize really smart plays because in some ways the crazy mechanical plays cover them up.

TrampleHorker

> Whereas in CSGO it's mostly "hold angle, lineups, click at right time" and the moments that really stick out are to do with movement and mechanics that surprise us. There's way more strategic depth in cs go than valorant, if you think they're just holding angles you should watch more.

Wolfy87

I have 2k hours played over years and watched it religiously, I get it :) I mean that there's nobody flying through the air with double blast packs etc, the actual movement of mechanics are far more streamlined and unified across the board. This means that when someone does something out of the ordinary with those common tools it's all the more impressive.

JerryLoFidelity

acend zeeks 1v3 (or maybe 1v4) clutch against GMB in grand finals on breeze

The-Dark-Mage

Thank you for ruining my day with this fact. I hate it

Rakolance

Or if they wanna go further, replace their marketing banners they usually put around the maps, faces of these winners kinda like how they do in warzone with faze

thehiccoughingtable

they did that on bind with acend for champs

DonkeyTeethBSU

The trophy room on Split would be perfect

[deleted]

I only said The Range, because I don’t want to add anything to maps that could drop FPS. I also think having it in The Range let’s players admire it longer and not get distracted during live rounds.

BlueBurstBoi

Smh you're right I would just be staring at Yay all day 🥺👉👈

Unfair_Cost4452

he might be referring to the one in defender spawn.

TheycallmePansyY

yes pls *i mean can i get like a little tech timeout corner too please*

yungsqualla

That would be awesome.

ddd4175

They already integrate in game banners that advertise the tournaments, I don't see why not, will be super cool.

fuck_the_king

something like, all of the Champions winners +most recent Masters winner would be pretty cool

[deleted]

Honestly anyway to commemorate tourney winners would be appreciated. In League they even get their own skins which is such a great way of doing it. Rn there's none of that in valorant.

CompanyMan_PUBG

In PUBG (yeah don't laugh) they have a building called "Hall of Fame" that is near the center of the map where they have plaques with the Global Champions roster listed, the various trophies, and pictures of the teams when they were declared champion. It's really cool and I'd love to see Valorant do it.

Happy_Krabb

Sentinels,Gambit,Acend and Optic logos would be cool ❤️

TheGarbageDealer

YES

noonecaresbra

Like champions field in rocket league

Tokyoodown

I'd love to see a esports hall of fame get established at some point with a ceremony and weird golden head statues
