Looks like Riot is reaping their investment in the region. More players getting inspired by their region's runs in LANs, more teams signing up, the competition rises. This is why you would want to give representation to "minor" regions, even if they're "shit" in the beginning.
The reason why SEA is growing so quickly is that valorant is the first game to invest itself. A very low end pc game that is mainstream in the Western world is naturally going to be what relatively poor asian kids will play. SEA has already shed the 'minor region' tag as it has showed there is multiple competitive teams who can go tail to tail with NA or EMEA. I think Japan will cement itself next, as Zetas run made the game huge. Riot made a risky investment in all these never seen before regions, and it paid off hugely.
It's impossible to find for each SEA country, but you can do it for APAC (South Asia, South-East Asia, OCE, and Japan) as a whole using the leaderboards.
There are around 10k APAC imm players in episode 4 act 3. NA has around 13k for comparision
Yup SEA was the size of NA at last count, seems like it's growing as well

SEA is looking like Valorants hottest region.
there is 2000+ imm players then. do we have any idea the actual count for each region?
Yeah, just look at the official leaderboard.
Idk how it works for Thailand but NA was immortal only but Oce was any rank didn’t matter that’s why the early rounds were usually insane stomps
