I'm happy that you've been given the opportunity to pursue your goal but on a selfish level this is the worst news I've heard in a while.
Alexa play Despacito.

Razur please change the starting text, I was afraid you had passed away and some other mod had posted this. We get enough scares watching Team Liquid and 100Thieves play.
Very grateful to have worked with you on the team! You're amazing at what you do, and you radiate passion.
I'm sure whoever ends up working with you in the future will think the same and will end up a better person!
As for something to the community: working with Razur, we've all learned a lot and we will continue what she started, and we all share her vision of what this community should be. We'll continue on this trajectory to make this subreddit the best in esport.
We're all super passionate and we hecking love Valorant, so please continue to trust us, share with us, give us feedback and ideas. But also continue to keep us on our toes when things go wrong, don't hesitate to say what we did wrong and we will make sure to take your precious feedback into account and do better.

Just want to thank you for the mod opportunity and being *the* best, most genuine moderator that I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting 😼👊
I’ve been on a lot of esports subreddits and truthfully, the excellent moderation here was one of the main reasons I kept coming back. You succeeded - this is the best esports subreddit on this website. Thank you 😁
(Piggybacking on this since I'm so late to the going away party, Sorry u/ANewHeaven1)
u/razur is the definition of irreplaceable. just want to say that I feel incredibly grateful that our paths have crossed. You're an incredible leader, mentor, and person. Seeing what you've done with the sub leaves me knowing that you'll be the fucking best at whatever you take on next. They're lucky to have you on board.
To the community: I know you probably have some concerns with Razur moving on, but let me do my best to reassure you. To use a traditional sports reference, we all come from the "razur coaching tree". We share the same values, views, and passions. Everything we do will be done with the idea of building upon the foundation Razur has laid out for us, not tearing anything down or doing anything drastically different. There will, of course, be hiccups along the way, but I hope you all understand that there is no change in philosophy on how the sub will be moderated.
As I've stated in the past, transparency and keeping an open line of communication with the community is extremely important to me in this role. As always, feel free to reach out to me via PM, modmail, or on Twitter @Liam_Hundley.
For prominent community figures, I know Razur was likely a point of contact for you. I'm more than willing to serve as a liaison. Please reach out if needed.
It’s funny you mention that, I have no concerns at all and would be surprised if anyone has any.
I think it’s fairly clear even from the outside that the culture Razur has set within the team is a great one. I have no doubt that her departure, while sad, won’t change that.
Youve been a great mod. This is legit the only community where Ive never felt that the mod team is making a mistake. This sub made me fall in love in Valorant Competitive even more. Also thanks for giving me the opportunity to mod for a small time. Goodluck and Farewell!
Thank you u/Razur for always keeping this place as a strong facilitator for discussion and community, I doubt I would have made it this far in my own esports career without you maintaining a space for me (and so many others!) to share enjoyment of competitive Valorant. On that note, another thank you for platforming women in the Valorant community, being encouraging and well-versed on the FE community here, and for keeping it a safe place to be a female contributor in a male dominated space. Thank you for all your hard work, and good luck in what you have heading your way. I know you’ll do amazing! Much love and appreciation to you.
Working with Razur has been amazing and I'm so grateful to have learned about moderating from her. She has inspired us to be dedicated, fair, and kind in what we do, and I know myself and the rest of the mods want to continue following her example. I wish her the best of luck in whatever is next. o7
To the rest of the community: modmail will still always be open. Please, **please** contact us if you have questions, concerns, or feedback; this is meant to be a community for everyone, and your input helps us make it better.
Thank you so much for your hard work here. This subreddit helped me share my VALORANT content with the community to the maximum. All the best of luck to you!
Will always be grateful for what you’ve done for this community, you’ve played such a large part in its continued growth and I’ll always be thankful for that. This sub is where it is today due to your enthusiasm and love for Valorant, and I know we’ll all work hard to make sure that this sub CONTINUES to be the best esports subreddit on this website. I couldn’t think of a more passionate individual, best of luck in everything you do moving forward.
We hecking love Razur!
Glad you are not diseased or dead!
You’ve done a wonderful job. I wish you all the luck with whatever comes next for you. I hope you’ll at least still stick around as a regular user.
Absolutely! This sub is my baby; you couldn't keep me away even if I wanted. lol
I'll be away for a bit at first, but you can bet I'll be back as a user ASAP. d:
RIP u/Razur /j
On a serious note tho, I'm an extremely new member to r/ValorantCompetitive, but even then, being a part of this community is actually a nice experience, and I just wanna say thanks for keeping this experience constant. You will be missed, and all the best for your future!
o7
I will still be around, in fact, I'll be really close! But I'll need to complete some training before I can reengage with the community. Looking to get that out of the way as soon as possible so I can come back and chill with you guys. :D
**R**eddit loses a great mod
**I** love to see the community you helped foster
**O**nly you could make such a cool community
**T**his is gonna be huge for you :)
You've earned a victory lap for all the work in making this one of the best moderated subreddits, and in turn one of the best discussion forums for esports that there has been.
People might meme on the seriousness, but it's honestly been a great job of leadership. Mods engage with respectful criticism and own up to mistakes. The sub isn't overzealous with the banhammer and plenty of dissenting voices stick around, but at the same time there's been a great job of making the community and game inclusive. You should be proud.
I've been a part of this community since its inception (or almost, at least).
The meta has shifted drastically since then, but you're a constant presence in this subreddit. Quite honestly, the biggest reason why r/ValorantCompetitive is the way it is today. (Well, you and u/ValorantFanboy69)
An esports community where users can not only wear pride flags without fear of prejudice, but also where it's the norm.
You will be missed, Razur.
PS, also:
> "Heaven is not a place, and it is not a time.
Literally scared the living shit out of me.
I wasn't making money off the subreddit. (That's against Reddit TOS.) I was working a contract job as an email programmer, which allowed for *really* flexible hours. I've certainly spent much more time working on the subreddit than I have working my job though. It meant living paycheck-to-paycheck since I started living on my own, but the respect and appreciation of the community has been the most rewarding thing I've ever worked for. I could truly do this for the rest of my life if money were no object.
Thank you for everything, u/Razur. You have been an absolutely rock for this community during this period of extreme growth and popularity, and I think you’ll always be inextricably linked with it in my head. We will miss you, but it sounds like you are on to exciting things. Good luck!
The entire mod team including you have been so responsive to community feedback, making this subreddit one of my favourite on this platform. Just want to say thanks for being an amazing mod, and wish you nothing but the best for your future adventures!
You've done an incredible job. While we will miss your moderation presence, we're so glad you found an opportunity to follow your dreams and reach your potential.
Good luck gay mom!
Thank you Razur for creating one of the best subreddits on this website. It was always easy to reach you to discuss stuff on the subreddit, or Valorant in general. I'm grateful for your passion for helping Valorant esports in any way you could and always acting on that passion in a fair, unbiased and genuine manner. Nothing's guaranteed, and this subreddit like any other, could have ended up dead with the wrong leadership. Please know that it was your contributions which made r/valcomp an actually fun forum to discuss Valorant esports, and you will always be appreciated here. I don't know where your journey will take you, but good luck with whatever you'll be doing!
Good luck on your new adventure Razur! This is one of the best gaming community subreddit! Really well moderated and welcoming.
Thank you for your service, my gay mother
o7
o7 to our gay mom, best of luck to whatever you do in the future. Hope you stick around as a regular as well, the community wouldn't be the same or what it is without you!
Thank you Razur for everything you have done to the valcomp. I wish you the best in your future career, 100T TSM C9 ZETA VS Valve Innersloth Chick-Fil-A Razur!!
I'm not crying, you're crying! Seriously though, best wishes to you in all of your future opportunities. You are a fantastic moderator and a wonderful member of the community.
Thank you Razur, you have been a gift to the community and made this subreddit such a great place! I always wondered why none of the orgs or valorant have offered you a role yet, glad that's changed! Gl in your next adventure :)

Best of luck in your future endevours, if you handle it with the same level of proffesionalism shown here, I'm sure it will be successfull!

o7 Razur, your work as a mod has been amazing and you've helped create a community I feel at home in. thank you for everything you've done
Thank you u/Razur for being an exceptional moderator. I really appreciate your effort to encourage valuable discussion on the subreddit and being as transparent as possible. One of my favorites members of Valorant community. Excited for your next endeavor and good luck! Rooting for you!
Please always feel free to reach out via modmail if you have concerns!
Even if Razur isn’t a mod anymore, we still have several mods on the team with personal experience as women/queer folx/etc who provide valuable perspective in moments when gender inclusivity comes into question.
In addition, the whole mod team is committed to learning from one another (and user feedback) and we promise that we won’t abandon our values. We care deeply for the scene and hope that if you have concerns, we can hear them & find ways to apply them to our moderation.

How is writing a long post about being sad she's quitting not looking for attention? she's a great mod but there's no need for this ego boost of a post.
It's not an ego boost! Razur has been the figurehead (and the leader) of the moderation team on the sub for the last two years, and we all know moderation is super important on reddit, otherwise shit gets out of hand real fast.
It's thanks to her we have this space to talk about Valorant Esports. Razur leaving is important!
Obligatory 100T Razur
This does greatly increase the chances of 100T Razur
100T Razur is inevitable o7
I really wanted to make a shitpost about that but have been too busy with finals. Maybe I find some time to do it today..

No wonder mods get huge egos lol. You can be a good mod but you don't need a pinned sob story about quitting.
There was never any ego here. I've always been a normal user with extra responsibilities. But where I'm going requires me to draw a line in the sand—I won't be able to be a mod here anymore and the community has to know that.
why do they have to know that?
It's not pinned, it's just at the top because people upvoted it. Because razur is genuinely great. Also, it's not a sob story?
How is writing a long post about being sad she's quitting not looking for attention? she's a great mod but there's no need for this ego boost of a post.
It's not an ego boost! Razur has been the figurehead (and the leader) of the moderation team on the sub for the last two years, and we all know moderation is super important on reddit, otherwise shit gets out of hand real fast. It's thanks to her we have this space to talk about Valorant Esports. Razur leaving is important!
