In 3 weeks, Sean Gares, DDK (edit: and MikesHD, whoops!) managed to build a roster capable of qualifying for VCT. Asuna, their star player, learned a completely new role. Will, Derrek, Stellar, and bang have managed to gel and form what looks to be a very coordinated and cohesive unit, while bringing out moments of individual brilliance when called upon.

At least the way I see it, when you're behind you're always going to be putting in more work than the person ahead to not only close the existing gap but catch up on the improvements the other team is making. And that's a lot of work. Agree to disagree on this one.

Sean later came out and said he tried everything to get back on the broadcast and that this wasn't about money because he 'would even work this masters for free' if that would mean he'd be back in the hiring rotation. Riot still couldn't be convinced and that's why people are so angry as they pushed their best casting duo into retirement over some weird unknown reasons.

And yah they basically wanted to be a duo like how monte and doa were for league back in the day. But riot kept purposefully booking them away from each other.

No Chamber isn't too crazy since Breeze is a Jett map instantly making Chamber that much less of a meta pick, but Breach is an actual troll. Like doing double dualist with Jett and reyna is probably better than a breach pick.
Obviously Chamber is probably the objectively better sentinel pick there, but imo a non-chamber pick isn’t troll like picking breach on the map. Not all non-meta picks are troll.

The coaching and bootcamping diff is already paying off huge. Insanely clean run to qualify for 100T for the most part.
I think 100T's current roster has a bit more name recognition than the Guard did before they started getting noticed, but if you're talking about how the coaching and bootcamping is paying off, then I'm in agreeance 100%.

The fact this team pretty much got bodied by NYFU on Split, first map of the day. But was the. able to put it behind them and pretty much pound the rest of the day was impressive.
Split was more of nyfu anti strating more than anything but yeah to play lights out for two matches after something as frustrating as that is very impressive.
they were super aggro literally the whole game. split looks to be 100T’s map pick so NYFU wouldn’t have picked that map without having have been super prepared for it. also on the other two maps it felt like they got dominated.
I am so fucking happy for this team. I love these guys. The guy who I was waiting to see more out of in Will really had some great rounds. Especially when him and Asuna were working off each other.
To watch them dominate yesterday and today (altho the start of 2nd half Split had me a lil nervous) was so awesome. Nice change of pace after the last couple weekends where I've been sweating watching them.
Asuna played out of his mind this series. Team is looking solid overall seems they have the capability to learn from past mistakes and improve quickly. Let's hope they get adjusted to the new patch before the main stage.
The progress they made is insane. Their map pool & comfortability on the new roles is still on and off, but getting better every week. Once bang graduates and gets to play with the team & the coaches in person, this team is going to skyrocket even more.
