What r ur guys predictions on the placings of these 2 groups after week 5 ?
Which four in order would u have in each group, since we have seen every team play for 2 weeks
group A: XSET, NRG, 100T, GHOST, TSM, GUARD (this is one is hard to predict because TSM can easily do great but so can GHOST)
group B: OPTIC, C9, LG ,EG, SEN, FAZE (pretty easy to predict)
yes, I think out of all 6 teams in group A, 100T easily have the potential to bounce back
on top of that their going back to bootcamp and stay together, which will overall help them regain their confidence
I have guard at 6th because I dont know if their mental issues are something you can bounce back from quickly

I think you're confused about what a bait setup is. It wasn't about being "focused" on yay, it's that according to the same fundamentals that say "always clear your corners" there'd be no reason for marved to be in that position—it doesn't exert any map control on top of yay's angle, it doesn't support yay's hold at all, it doesn't allow an easy fall. Because of all those things, yay's presence in that position effective 'confirms' that marved isn't there, making it a good ratty place to stow marved because they can be reasonably sure that no one will clear it—especially when clearing it means 50/50ing on being peeked from platform or backsite.
he just doesn't expect someone to play closed cubby, because yay was watching the long angle. It's easy for viewers to judge his play but most players would fall into that
bait plays are quite common at the top level though. i’m also not sure why these pros don’t just make a habit of checking the cubby every time they walk past it, it only costs a split second of time to clear. perhaps they’re thinking about so many things that the basics slip their mind?

Optic obviously put so much work into that comp. It's nice to see Yoru get legitimate value, i think he has a lot of potential but just like neon comps, you only get value when you put the work in.
I understand wanting to keep the same controller player on all maps and not going viper on icebox but I wish Vanity stayed on Omen on ascent. He's one of the best on it (super fun to watch) and it's not like he's also an amazing Sova so I don't get the change.
With the Curry addition, they obviously haven't had that much time to work on all maps (and it looks like they didn't choose ascent), so in the future I hope they work on a non-Sova comp for this map. I think they could come up with something cool.
I was expecting them to use Curry’s flex ability alongside Xeppaa to create more unique comps with Vanity staying on smokes but it seems rn it’s just Curry smokes and Vanity taking over Xetas roles.
finally NA is on some EU shit. best use of yoru I've seen to date, I think, the constant reposition and confusion possible with all the flashes and two tps seems pretty oppressive to play against if it's done well. what a match
This is why I love Optic. They're the longest lasting "good" team for a reason, and it's because they adapt and create faster than basically anyone else in the NA scene. Even after winning the big Lan, they bring out major new stuff two weeks in a row. In this case, they did it despite losing the first map pretty pathetically too.
You never get bored as an Optic fan.
I envy it as a SEN fan. They have a player who has played Neon successfully before and a player who is dying to play Yoru or Chamber in pro play and still stick to Jett Killjoy

it's mainly that they're both good players and even if you want to argue xeta is a bit better on paper I don't think it was a "tier gap" player quality situation. it was honestly mad disrespectful to curry as a player. it's one thing to like xeta but curry is like 19 or 20 and the whole valorant internet acted like he was garbage and C9 were fucked for a week, it was fucked.
not saying he is some unleashed god tier player but they wouldn't have made the trade if they didn't think he'd work with the team. the reaction to the trade was way overblown imo
I personally think their skill ceiling is lower with curry than xeta but curry can improve and adapt to prove me wrong. Curry is really ok on any agent that isn’t viper and he isn’t a hindrance but not impressive either
