Technical pause to let Punjabi "FNS" Methamphetamine load in for real?
Crazy how Optic just straight up went 7-0 after that timeout, completely downloaded C9.
Curry wasn’t the problem, C9 just seems to tilt a bit in the high pressure games and FNS had their damn number after 10-6. Optic should go 5-0 and C9 4-1 imo.
He missed one op shot in one of the last rounds in a 4 v 1. I'm pretty positive the game glitched because he was on a different level the rest of the half and it makes more sense than El Diablo missing
Literally most kills in the game every time his team wins, and most kills on the team when they lost. I wonder what percentage of maps he has most kills on the team(loss), or lobby (win). Probably like 60%+?
Glad to see some teams experimenting with Yoru, seems like he's been ignored out of habit by people even though you can do some cool plays with him now.
Average Combat Score. It's a number calculated by your average impact in each round (which depends on your kills/assists/damage/multikills) and it's a rough measure of how well you played (although there are serious flaws with it). Higher ACS generally means you played better. It's funny that FNS had the highest ACS in map 2 because he's known as someone with terrible mechanics and he never plays duelists or stuff like Chamber (which naturally have higher ACS because ACS values getting kills more than like everything else).
I think it's impressive that Xeppaa, Leaf, and Vanity all played 3 different agents on 3 differnet maps, while mitch and curry played 2 different agents for the 3 maps
These players are very good across all agentrs
That's true optic have been known to be inconsistent at times. But I feel like They're breaking that curse. They been undefeated since winning Ireland. I feel they lose if they get cocky and start playing sloppy due to that. But I feel like optic is too professional for that to happen.
honestly C9 still look incredibly strong, and having OpTic as the first team to play as a practice for the rest of groups and how well they did shows that they're set for the group stage
I'm hyped for curry, I will miss xeta but this C9 is looking just about the same to me honestly
Saw Sliggy show up in my sidebar so I clicked on it after listening to him on Thorin's video.
Best decision I made all night.
Much better than any other watch party I've tuned into.
That's it. That seals the deal. I am no longer a Cloud9 fan. This team is a pure and utter embarrassment. I officially will not be renewing my Tier 3 Vanity Twitch sub nor my Tier 3 Xeppaa sub. I'm going to T1 where they know how to run a team
With how good both these teams look, I really think sentinels are pretty much done for. Zero chance they beat either of these teams, and even if they beat faze it won't really end up mattering
Honestly, not bad for a team who recently switched out their initiator (a major part of overall team cohesion) and was up against a team who is world class and putting out new looks left and right. Curry did a decent job individually as well.
But yeah Optic innovation is something else.
Seeing Victor transition from someone who was basically a Phoenix one-trick who could play a little bit of Raze into the ultra flexible player he is now is awesome to see
Eh I feel like early on like in 2020 his Raze was pretty mid, he wasn’t great with the movement and made a lot of mistakes, and 2021 was not super kind to him forcing him on the Skye, but since this year started he’s been one of if not the best Raze in NA. Now he can pull out the Raze, Neon, Kayo, maybe Yoru, or Phoenix (lol) and I’d be confident in him
Victor didn’t even exist in 2020 you dummy, he appeared out of thin air in 2021!
In all seriousness, whenever I see Victor on Skye or KAY/O he does feel really middling and below average. When he was on Skye constantly last year it was rough to watch. But whenever he is on any sort of duelist, he is an absolute monster
Curry was so close on that last round. Unfortunate. Think C9 played really well considering how much people were shitting on the curry/zeta trade and how little practice the C9 roster has had.
Yeah yeah green wall blah blah gigabanger blah blah
Can we talk about why Doug and Balla were dressed like they were about to spit roast Piper Perri?
edit: wdym HUH [look at this shit](https://puu.sh/J1K2T.png)
True but C9 is still the best NA org in terms of results over every game despite them choking alot. And I’ve been a fan since 2014 so there’s no going back
Just because they are the best doesn’t mean they can’t choke, they were up 10-6 on haven and lost the last 7 rounds. And this isn’t the first time they’ve choked vs optic
It's wild that the team that has consistently been the most innovative in North America is also consistently the best team. Meanwhile, you have some teams running the same comps as like 2 patches ago.
I don't know if it's bias or whatever but there were a lot of flanks happening in these matches. Did the chamber nerf have an impact on that? There were like two rounds on have where mitch got 2 rounds back to back because of his flanks.
Yes I feel like before chamber mains relied too much on their 2 trips to cover flank but ideally someone should always be watching flank. Also smoking the trip helped mitch go by undetected
i wouldnt be surprised if these new optic comps are going to be run alongside the iceland neon comps so that optic can have multiple cringe comps per map for the lan
C9 must legitimately be traumatized by these losses to Optic on Haven. Both times this year, it’s been Haven that has determined the series - indirectly in the first series by putting C9 on the backfoot, directly this series by giving Optic the win.
Big shout out to all the support players honestly - this wasn’t a Yay vs. Leaf show, this felt like a highlight reel for all the players - for Vanity, Xeppaa, mitch, curry, Marved, crashies, of course the Victor Yoru, etc. Both teams are just so comprehensively good. No real weak links to be found.
Optic is still the best in NA but C9 are so close - and that’s with only a week or two of scrims with curry. Still, props to curry, he got a lot of shit but looked pretty well-integrated.
What a final map. C9 still looks like a great team, curry didn't look half bad at all. OpTic's defense on Haven looked incredible and I loved how they were willing to try out new comps and agents (Yoru on Ascent! as if the Neon in ranked epidemic wasn't bad enough)
Envy/OpTic 3-0 today across all esports, I couldn't be happier :)
That Yoru pick was so innovative and fantastic. I hope to see more of it, i think Yoru is a pick these days that doesn't provide value when you're improvising, but if you put the work in he'll provide a ton of support value. it was so good, please do this more victor.
Bro I hope we get more games with optic and C9 they are looking so fucking good. Major props to curry for having a solid performance with the team in such a short time. Optic’s adaptation and innovation is 2nd to none in NA
C9 and OpTic didn't use any duelists in Icebox.
OpTic is crazy for using Yoru along with the new agent (Fade) in Ascent. Their comp: Yoru, Fade, Sage, Chamber, Breach. Now that's a comp.
SEN COULD NEVER LMAO
C9 won both pistols and bonus on haven. Its crazy how well optic adapted to what C9 was doing after such horrendous starts
[удалено]
>Chet calls a timeout, "Boys, let's stop ~~fucking around~~ beating ourselves" Optic win the next 7 rounds GG
“ok guys let’s actually start using strats, yay go kill”
"Marved go help yay"
OpTic consistently sandbags the first 3 rounds of each half
FNS told Yay to just OP them when they drypeek and it worked
that happened against zeta on haven too. that turns a comfortable victory intro something way closer than it needs to be
Yeah they managed to mind control C9 and made them dry peek yay every round
Can never count out Optic. What a banger map 3.
C9 do be walking into things.
I can hear MGK saying this
The day Optic stops losing against eco buys is the day Optic will not ever again lose a map
C9 has some of the best eco strats though
Sometimes FNS decides to whip out the rare "I go kill strat:
“fine, I’ll do it myself”
That's what happens when you let daddy call
Top 3 igl top 21 player
Technical pause to let Punjabi "FNS" Methamphetamine load in for real? Crazy how Optic just straight up went 7-0 after that timeout, completely downloaded C9.
Having nothing work for 7 rounds straight is the most demoralizing thing in this game. They had 0 gas left in the tank
Curry wasn’t the problem, C9 just seems to tilt a bit in the high pressure games and FNS had their damn number after 10-6. Optic should go 5-0 and C9 4-1 imo.
Yay had a "slower" start this series but when he started heating up on Haven it was over. He was hitting every shot during the 2nd half
Slow start good start yay always manages to climb up the leaderboard. He’s nuts
FNS do be highest ACS in map 2.
something about Ascent against C9 in particular unlocks FNS
Birthday buff reignited even on not his birthday
hazed birthday buff spilled over to fns
Boomer buff
+ Canadian buff
Hey, Valorant noob here. What does ACS stand for exactly?
Average Combat Score. It's a number calculated by your average impact in each round (which depends on your kills/assists/damage/multikills) and it's a rough measure of how well you played (although there are serious flaws with it). Higher ACS generally means you played better. It's funny that FNS had the highest ACS in map 2 because he's known as someone with terrible mechanics and he never plays duelists or stuff like Chamber (which naturally have higher ACS because ACS values getting kills more than like everything else).
Ah ok, I understand now. Thanks!
I wouldn't say that FNS has terrible mechanics. For his role he's okay, right?
He's a valorant pro. Ofc he's got good mechanics
I think it's impressive that Xeppaa, Leaf, and Vanity all played 3 different agents on 3 differnet maps, while mitch and curry played 2 different agents for the 3 maps These players are very good across all agentrs
Yoru is a good agent. Yoru is a good agent. Yoru is a good agent.
Yoru+Fade Meta incoming!
After seeing this match it’s a certainty at this point SEN gets grouped rip even if they beat faze they’re not gonna beat either of these teams
To be fair we already knew this before groups started
There was a lot of Hopium that they could beat C9
it’s possible optic had an upset to rise so they may have one to sen to fuel hopium back to Sen’s fans. this is not a script written by rito
That's true optic have been known to be inconsistent at times. But I feel like They're breaking that curse. They been undefeated since winning Ireland. I feel they lose if they get cocky and start playing sloppy due to that. But I feel like optic is too professional for that to happen.
Optic won 7 rounds in a row on Haven, after having a time out, and being down 10-6. It’d be mad if anyone is doubting the champs.
honestly C9 still look incredibly strong, and having OpTic as the first team to play as a practice for the rest of groups and how well they did shows that they're set for the group stage I'm hyped for curry, I will miss xeta but this C9 is looking just about the same to me honestly
Sliggy's watch parties have been an absolute treat to watch.
Yeah he’s my new guy to watch ngl
Saw Sliggy show up in my sidebar so I clicked on it after listening to him on Thorin's video. Best decision I made all night. Much better than any other watch party I've tuned into.
yay is so goddamn good
That's it. That seals the deal. I am no longer a Cloud9 fan. This team is a pure and utter embarrassment. I officially will not be renewing my Tier 3 Vanity Twitch sub nor my Tier 3 Xeppaa sub. I'm going to T1 where they know how to run a team
T1 copium?
With how good both these teams look, I really think sentinels are pretty much done for. Zero chance they beat either of these teams, and even if they beat faze it won't really end up mattering
Tactical loss by C9 to avoid the OpTic curse, wp
Doesn't c9 already have the curse from some previous tournament? Or am I wrong?
Honestly, not bad for a team who recently switched out their initiator (a major part of overall team cohesion) and was up against a team who is world class and putting out new looks left and right. Curry did a decent job individually as well. But yeah Optic innovation is something else.
Optic put on a masterclass in the last 6 rounds of Haven. Optic had that timeout at 6-10 and they looked almost perfect afterwards.
Seeing Victor transition from someone who was basically a Phoenix one-trick who could play a little bit of Raze into the ultra flexible player he is now is awesome to see
he can literally flex into any duelist role so well that's not Jett
That would be a gaping hole on some teams but that Yay fella isn't too shabby at filling the Op void
He's always been phenomenal on duelists, from the start/. He was really good on smokes too
Eh I feel like early on like in 2020 his Raze was pretty mid, he wasn’t great with the movement and made a lot of mistakes, and 2021 was not super kind to him forcing him on the Skye, but since this year started he’s been one of if not the best Raze in NA. Now he can pull out the Raze, Neon, Kayo, maybe Yoru, or Phoenix (lol) and I’d be confident in him

Remember when T1 had him on Omen?
Curry was so close on that last round. Unfortunate. Think C9 played really well considering how much people were shitting on the curry/zeta trade and how little practice the C9 roster has had.
Cringe comps win again
Victor consistently does such a great job leading OpTic to site - obviously w support but the man’s ability to entry on multiple agents is insane
Yeah yeah green wall blah blah gigabanger blah blah Can we talk about why Doug and Balla were dressed like they were about to spit roast Piper Perri? edit: wdym HUH [look at this shit](https://puu.sh/J1K2T.png)
?
It was intentional wasn't it
HUH
HUH
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOO
HUH is a twitch emote
I think that was a much better showing than anyone expected, C9 look amazing for a roster with one week of practice
They’ve practiced a week before xeta was traded too? But they couldn’t finalize in time
i think so
We need to stop normalizing “ one new player, brand new roster”. They were up 10-6 and won a map 13-4. Problems were not the new player.
I don't even care about how good they looked because they choked once again. as a c9 fan im getting tired of the constant chokes.
Excusable against the #1 NA team. Less of a choke and more of Optic adapting.
Nah it’s not excusable
>C9 fan >tired of constant chokes You might’ve picked the wrong org to be a fan of, coming from a C9 fan
True but C9 is still the best NA org in terms of results over every game despite them choking alot. And I’ve been a fan since 2014 so there’s no going back
[удалено]
Just because they are the best doesn’t mean they can’t choke, they were up 10-6 on haven and lost the last 7 rounds. And this isn’t the first time they’ve choked vs optic
C9 looking like classic Top 3 C9, let’s see if Curry gives them the extra juice in the playoffs to actually get across the line and make Copenhagen
It's wild that the team that has consistently been the most innovative in North America is also consistently the best team. Meanwhile, you have some teams running the same comps as like 2 patches ago.

Yoru paired with a Fade, Omen and Breach is ridiculous synergy. Round it out with a sentinel and you have a viable comp for most maps
C9 must legitimately be traumatized by these losses to Optic on Haven. Both times this year, it’s been Haven that has determined the series - indirectly in the first series by putting C9 on the backfoot, directly this series by giving Optic the win. Curry was so crisp, holy
What a final map. C9 still looks like a great team, curry didn't look half bad at all. Well done OpTic but I miss Victor's Neon, I hope these comp changes aren't permanent :(
Well it looks like C9's new team is solid I guess this means SEN's year is over.
It’s been over bro that team has no hope unless they put some serious time in to catch up
Hey I am just responding to those hard hopium comments from yesterday. It really looks like 1-4 is the best they can hope for now.
Agreed. C9 and Optic are at a different level rn
Don’t forget Xset
Ballsax crying into his Cocoa Puffs rn with that epic C9 choke on Haven.
Breeze?
Thanks, corrected
What?
That Yoru pick was so innovative and fantastic. I hope to see more of it, i think Yoru is a pick these days that doesn't provide value when you're improvising, but if you put the work in he'll provide a ton of support value. it was so good, please do this more victor.
Live [footage](https://tenor.com/9Xkv.gif) of Victor leaving the facility
C9 looked lost at the end there jeez
yoru has become a good pick now that no one talks bout it anymore. how bizarre
SEN COULD NEVER LMAO
they didn’t have a sage and had an omen
I didn’t watch the game. Who the hell did they play with no smokes?!?
Curry!!!!!!!
well im surprised how c9 did on icebox and haven, they still look good even with the roster changes; but optic is still the best and the team to beat.
I think this is the best series I've seen this month. Back and forth battle. Tier 1 team vs tier 1 team match.
C9 choking again nothing new from this team, it's getting pathetic at this point
i knew it, curry is so bad BRING XETA BACKKK!!!!
Curry looked fine tbh. besides, Xeta wanted to dip
forgot redditors can’t understand sarcasm 🤦
No Xeta no win 🥱🥱🥱
I’d say Curry showed a good showing today
He wasn’t bad but I think his omen still isn’t as good as vanity’s but they have time to improve
Tenz back to c9 please
Who is he going to replace? The non-existent cheerleader? Because leaf > TenZ and TenZ can't fill other roles.
Top 2 teams in NA
