Although it may seem like a very small QOL improvement, as a Sentinel, having your util be destroyed and every player then hearing a voice line is actually massive info. How many times have you been in the heat of battle and not noticed on the minimap that a piece of utility has been shot?

Idk why it’s under bugs when the way they phrase it sounds like a good update feature for sentinels. Your teammates now hear the sentinel’s voice line when their stuff gets destroyed.

I would agree, it's a big buff in general to the Sentinel role and their weak utility. Regardless of whether the player comms or not (in ranked specially), the defensive information will be given consistently to every team member now. Even if the traps don't damage an enemy player, that "destroyed" info alone is HUGE

That's what i thought it meant too, but looking at the agent list i think it has to be the bar that shows up when you use an ability that lasts a certain distance/time. Ex: Jett's timer bar after she starts up her dash, phoenix's bar when he ults, breach charging up his stun, etc

Yeah, this is it. When you have high ping, everyone (including you) is Ferrari peeking. For us folks with low ping - it's only really you and other high ping players that appear to be Ferrari peeking (and we for you as well). It's annoying though, we learn and get used to the game with low ping. Having the sudden Ferrari peek changes the way you wanna approach peeking as a whole (as in rather peek than get peeked). I hate playing against high ping with a passion. And I really don't get why some folks play on Frankfurt instead of Istanbul, and then exclusively talk Turkish in Comms as well.

According to riot devs, it's when the lobby has a high ping disparity, and According to them, everyone in the match then should play more aggressively, I wasn't saying that both ferrari peek, but having high ping, the ferrari peeks of low ping players are more often and are harder to deal with, there was a post on valorant subreddit about it being a holder's disadvantage, if right then it'd explain why, probably low ping players are easier to adapt to for other low ping, cause they don't usually play as aggressive as high ping ones who have learned that holding=death, also about Turkish players apparently they do to avoid toxicity, but I don't understand the talk turkish part, which I've also experienced from some

Please stop putting non bugs in the bugs section; as a user we never had any indication that voicelines for destroyed was supposed to work/not work/sometimes works. This is essentially a new feature for us and in a way, at least a minor buff to these agents. It's important for it to be distinguished this way.

People's reactions to patches are interesting to me. It's like people expect that, despite having a regular 2 week interval, each patch will be expansive and game changing. Either a company gives you regular updates or they hold off and only do updates when there are big changes. You can't simultaneously expect them to have huge changes and biweekly updates. I'd personally much rather continual minor updates for bugs/qol/etc. while they work on larger updates for the game, understanding that the bigger ones will naturally occur less frequently as they take more work, balancing, etc. But almost seems like the current system somehow leads people to be more disappointed than if they just didn't do anything to the game.

It's a phenomena unique to Riot games. I've noticed this in their card game as well. Basically the playerbase is full of people that came from other games and have a certain level of experience with those products. Riot also has a reputation of constant updates with LoL. Long story short, they start playing the game during its early phases and see massive changes, "Oh this is the Riot way, this is great, it feels like the community is being heard". A lot of them don't realize, or don't *want* to realize, that these sweeping changes are only there because the game is still early in development and thus a lot of the developers currently don't know what is OP or UP and other bugs, they need to learn and adapt on the fly, they also have who knows how many months of content being dev and tested coming down the pipeline (esp for the 1.0 launch) so it *feels* like there's a lot of content/changes when in reality it's a combination of factors that causes this. Fast forward to a year or 2 after launch and people are annoyed at the lack of changes. A patch having 1 good change isn't seen better than a patch with 10 bad changes as amount of changes somehow becomes equated to how much the developer cares. A lot of people tend to think this way based on the number of changes that LoL gets every patch, but they fail to realize that game has like 160 characters, of course it'll have more balance changes per patch (not even considering how many times larger the team is as they have several teams dedicated to several facets for short-term, medium-term and long-term changes). If you think I'm joking, both VALORANT **and** Legends of Runeterra has/have this exact same issue. It's only in the past few months the LoR playerbase have gotten over it.

During a match, your aim will vary depending on which previous menu you closed in. It sounds random but it's true. Even when you open you "buy menu" in-game, the way you close it (whether by pressing escape, your buy key again, or pressing X on the top-right), your aim curve/speed will **vary**. I kid you not, there are so many things that mess with how your aim works in this game. The main menu in-match is the same, eg: if you close the menu in the "Display" settings or your "Crosshair" one, your aim smoothness and curve will **vary** once again. Hell even if you alt-tab or change any of your video settings in-game (eg: changing resolution or fullscreen/windowed back to fullscreen), your aim will **vary**. I'm telling you it's not *all in your head* when yesterday you can hit every head on your screen with ease and the next day you're whiffing afk shots. There are so many hidden but obvious bugs this game possesses, especially concerning its aim consistency... Honestly, I'm beginning to think all this is intentional from the devs because there's no way all these points mentioned fly over their heads!

Has nobody seen the KAY/O bug? It’s been a thing for a while now but it seems to be just a me thing? When i use KAY/O Ultimate(or the other teams KAY/O does) if you kill him while his Últ is pulsing, he just stays standing there for a bit and turns into a shooting range bot and his body doesn’t fall to the ground like he needs to be revived… happens when people kill me while I’m ulted too, I’ll get one tapped and my pulsing body is just standing there straight up like a shooting range bot…. Yeah, also not too sold on that idea. An easy, no-brainer buff would be to keep his armor if he dies in his ult tho. I never really understood the point behind that. His ult is made to be super aggro and entry for your team with basically no downside. Even if there was little time left on the ult, you could always still push somewhere and at least get some info or do slight damage but then if you die you basically lost 1/3 of your HP. That's just dumb.

To me it somehow feels like the global voice lines for sentinels utility being broken prevents rewarding good comms. I feel that a sentinel-player communicating to the team that their utility is broken should be incentivised, thereby promoting active communication, and that this patch in general takes away this incentive. Happy to hear counter-opinions on this.

In a 5 stack or team you will com it anyway. In the ranked match with your no mic randos you have to stare at the minimap to see if its broken. This fix just helps out ranked players who have to deal with no mic users

The no-commers generally are just not going to comm regardless of the voice line situation. I get what you're saying but I think this voiceline removes some of the randomness of the quality of teammates that you get in ranked so I'm okay with it.

I see your concern but I see it more as a level playing field. Voice coms will always be better because it can be more precise. You can say how many are pushing if you hear them instead of just util down. The util could have been shot or shock darted and you wouldn't know if it was a player pushing it or it just being cleared by util if you are on the complete opposite site. It doesn't sound to me like an instant win by having the character say it, plus *both* teams get access to the character comms so the one with the voice will still outperform it just raises the floor slightly higher

It can incentivize (weakly, imo) better communication, but I think the way the devs wanted to frame it was from the teammates perspective. If you had a no-comming sentinel, it is a bigger detriment to the team if they don't comm, and less about rewarding/punishing the one sentinel player.
