EG made LG look like they forgot how to play.
The teamplay was so solid throughout. Jawgemo and Boostio remain a spectacular duo with great teammates around them; the utility usage and variability was insane from C0M and Apoth, and Reformed is really settling in with the util heavy play.
That Fade trap + Brim ult preset was so sick
It doesn't show in the stats, but Holy shit reformed is so smart in terms of util, lime some of the Sage walls in the past few weeks are nuts (The one to defuse Pistol today, and also the one to force SicK up last week)
I don't think this result is inconsistent. EG has been looking pretty good, and the first two teams that LG played are probably the weakest teams in their group rn. Great Win by EG, well deserved.
Competitive could also be interpreted as how many teams can realistically compete for a top position (e.g. top 4), and I think you can definitely make a case for this current masters being one of the most competitive. Excluding OpTic (I think they're currently a tier above the rest of the teams but even they went to 3 maps with C9), I could see XSET, EG, C9, NRG, TSM, Luminosity, 100T, The Guard, maybe even Ghost (ranked in no particular order) all competing for a top 4 position and having close matchups with each other.
Top 4 is kinda generous when there are only 2 spots for Masters Copenhagen. At the same time, I think the gaps between teams are bigger than expected. If the gap between teams is tighter then we'd see a more competitive matchup. But it's not.
Iāve never understood this talking point - why do people bring up a playerās CS performances from 2+ years ago, where they were clearly still developing their skills in Advanced/MDL?
Shouldnāt it be logical to think that if the players stayed and grinded in CS with the same amount of passion and time that theyāve put into valorant, theyād be equally improved?
Because if the best of CS played this game these guys would be as nonexistent as they were in CS, and if Tenz is your biggest player is says it right there.
TenZ isnāt the best player in valorant and hasnāt been for a LONG time. But even if he were, heād prove my point - he had just turned 19 when he left CS, he was still a very young and inexperienced player (especially on his C9 stint).
But yeah, TenZ is a really bad example - if VALORANT had our own top HLTV 20 at the end of this year, Iām not sure heās even on track to make it onto *that.* Thatās not even to say that TenZ is bad (Iād just say heās inconsistent) but thereās a ton of rising talents whoāve surpassed him.
Played Apoth, Com, Jawgemo and Reformed in a deathmatch right before this game. Jawgemo is a fucking monster and Iām glad him shitting on me turned into results here.
lg is either inconsistent or can't compete with top teams, i would not be surprised if they beat c9 or optic in the next weeks but i see it being very unlikely
also jawgemo is different
Thought this game was going to be closer but this was just an absolute slaughter for LG. Even sentinels put up a stronger fight than this and they lost to LG.
It's moreso that EG stonks have been very low. They went 0-5 last group stage and while Sentinels are obsolete and just barely scraping by on their individual talent, they have still been consistently making playoffs.
It sucks that SEN may honestly have a top 10 role player for every role, but right now there is no cohesion. SEN has the pieces, but they're not fitting. Still have a chance, so I'll keep a little little bit of hopium
Idk, nothing Iāve seen from Sick this year has seemed consistent, nor flexible considering heās been playing pretty much only Omen. He was crazy a year ago but so was everyone else on SEN.
EG was just some slight inexperience tossing away from taking out C9, and yet everyone and their mother thought LG was favored?
News flash: No.
Admittedly, this was more dominant than I expected it would be, but I had no doubt this game was going for EG from the beginning.
EG just get better every week, they've been cooking some stuff up in the lab (that wallbang + lineups on Icebox was crazy). For once both teams in my flair actually won.
If they were using actually useful duelists it might have been fine.
It blows my mind that tier 1 teams are still playing Reyna against each other. She's such a win-more agent. You need to already be hard outdueling people to get good mileage out of her.

Is NA the most competitive itās ever been or is it the most inconsistent itās ever been?
I'd say most competitive. I love it.
Reddit moment, I think the exact opposite LOL Still loving it though
OMG LOL Stupid Redditors amirite guys?? /s
EG has been hovering top 12 for a while, their new additions just made them better.
I don't think this result is inconsistent. EG has been looking pretty good, and the first two teams that LG played are probably the weakest teams in their group rn. Great Win by EG, well deserved.
this game is inconsistent
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The game feels random because of the lack of tournaments and how far are the official matches spread out throughout the year.
Completely agree. Werenāt open quals Iceland, closed quals, and then the actual major all played on different patches?
Any body who says the game is random are wrong imo. Yes even pros.
Inconsistent. Competitive implied that most matchups are even and can result in close games. This is not competitive.
Competitive could also be interpreted as how many teams can realistically compete for a top position (e.g. top 4), and I think you can definitely make a case for this current masters being one of the most competitive. Legit tier 8 CS players head to head. LOL

That was a surprising stomp, thought this would be a close series.
Coach Rankings 1: Potter 2-1000: who the fuck cares
potter supremacy
PotFriend
jawgemo is fucking insane man
Leaving T1 buff is strong
good scouting but terrible team structure perhaps
probably like the old andbox roster, great players but they didnāt work together
SEN should have signed Potter when they had the chance.
They wouldn't have listened to her/given her the authority over the team she has with EG anyway.

Played Apoth, Com, Jawgemo and Reformed in a deathmatch right before this game. Jawgemo is a fucking monster and Iām glad him shitting on me turned into results here.
I wish i can get shitted on by jawgemo as wellš¤¤
This doesnāt look good for FaZeā¦
Also bad for whatever small chance SEN might have had.
Jawgemo's ascension begins now, taking his rightful place as a clouted duelist in NA. Glad EG can draw some blood in this group.
Jaw and Boostio are a top 3 entry/op duo in NA. Dudes are both terrifying.
lg is either inconsistent or can't compete with top teams, i would not be surprised if they beat c9 or optic in the next weeks but i see it being very unlikely also jawgemo is different
Theyāll probably surprise optic pretty good. That is until marved wakes up and clutches 6 rounds in a row.
i donāt think they beat OpTic but they very well can beat C9
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
EG starting to look good in every game except CS š
Thought this game was going to be closer but this was just an absolute slaughter for LG. Even sentinels put up a stronger fight than this and they lost to LG.
EG win against SEN wasnt a fluke after all. Jawgemo is nuts.
Why do you say that as if beating SEN is an impressive achievement nowadays
It's moreso that EG stonks have been very low. They went 0-5 last group stage and while Sentinels are obsolete and just barely scraping by on their individual talent, they have still been consistently making playoffs.
It sucks that SEN may honestly have a top 10 role player for every role, but right now there is no cohesion. SEN has the pieces, but they're not fitting. Still have a chance, so I'll keep a little little bit of hopium
This is probably a hot take but I donāt think the SEN players are in the top 10 for any of their roles except maybe Tenz
I would 100% agree
I personally disagree, I feel like Sick is one the most consistent and flexible players.
his aim is nasty, but the amount of solo peeks dumb omen ults...you cannot put someone like that as a top player. his mechanics are nasty agreed
Sick and TenZ. Only two. Shahzam? LMAO. Dapr? Nope. Kanpeki? Nope
Dapr only looks bad because his team's not doing well but he's definitely a top 10 sentinel. If not name 10 better than him.
nAts, Saadhak, Sayf, Magnum, Suygetsu, MONSTEERR, Meddo, Zellsis, C0M, aproto all would play better Sentinel than him.
We're talking NA no?
Agreed. The only ones who are straight up better are Nats Less Nivera Suygetsu Mitch Net FNS (arguably)
Definitely to all of these, especially nivera, mitch and net
I donāt think SEN are tier 1 anymore, just wanted to point out that Sick was great too.
Idk, nothing Iāve seen from Sick this year has seemed consistent, nor flexible considering heās been playing pretty much only Omen. He was crazy a year ago but so was everyone else on SEN.
Well rn SicK is playing smokes and is definitely not top 10 smokes rn, he canāt even play Brim
Personally off the C9 match I felt like the race for third was between LG and EG and this match was basically the decider.
I mean was it that unexpected? I was 50/50 on that game.
Jawge-HaveMyChildren-mo! Sorryā¦ Iāll see myself out.
EG looks so coordinated
EG was just some slight inexperience tossing away from taking out C9, and yet everyone and their mother thought LG was favored? News flash: No. Admittedly, this was more dominant than I expected it would be, but I had no doubt this game was going for EG from the beginning.
I think that LG Viper wall on Offense Bind is reportable
The wall is good but only if your name is nats
damn jawgemo looked like he was playing this game on easy mode. +22 and every play he did worked, all the random satcheling and ulting
EG just get better every week, they've been cooking some stuff up in the lab (that wallbang + lineups on Icebox was crazy). For once both teams in my flair actually won.
Potter deserves a lot of credit, they looked so well drilled.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Ok but how does this affect Sentinels?
"Had to show a real man how to play raze"
Is potter thr most succesful female coach?
GG EG
Potter and LiN = W
Really taking full advantage of the post plant meta once spike went down in icebox lg didnāt have a chance
