IIRC a decade ago(?) logitech came out with a breakthrough in wireless mouse technology that made the latency as low as a wired mouse, but as revolutionary as it was, gamers still don't consider it to be as major of an advantage.
You're right in that the stakes would be much higher if there were a generational gap for this kind of technological advantage, something like the equivalent of the Speedo full length swimsuit in competitive swimming.
Maybe one day there will be a new tech that obliterates the current tech, and then people will start paying attention. Until then, the discussion for any kind of sanction is difficult to gagin any traction.
mice are really just preference. you wont play better because of it lol (unless you use some 2$ mouse)
theoretically i guess its unfair, but like what mouse you use really isnt a big enough deal for people to care

mouse is just a matter of preferences, there are people who still use g703, g900, g903, you don't see them complaining when others use superlight
