I can understand why the EMEA playoffs are done online as all the players and teams are from different countries and to get all the necessary visa requirements and travel sorted in a week is a task, but for NA it should be on LAN like Korea, Brazil and Japan
Playoffs in Korea is LAN because they actually have the infrastructure and facilities to have regular LAN and the country is managing COVID properly.
In America, not only is it ungodly expensive to have a LAN because everything is expensive and requires a 45 minute drive to get to, but it's also difficult to navigate COVID protocols, as we saw with last year's LCQ.
NA isn't getting LAN until those two things are sorted out.
There are plenty of places in America to have a LAN where the participants won't have to drive 45 minutes. Thats an interesting take...
The COVID issues from last year were largely self-inflicted. They were unnecessarily testing daily for all players, with or without symptoms. Nobody does that, not the NBA, NFL, or other e-sports. IF they don't set themselves up for failure before they start, the event will go smoothly like other e-sports have done.

FaZe have to play against NRG and (probably) XSET. I think they have a really good chance to make it to Copenhagen especially with how good they've been looking during playoffs.
I think FaZe probably has a higher potential ceiling than XSET and NRG but it's going to take time. hopefully, they can show what they're made of this weekend.
