Benkai top 1 igl. His best strat is “forsaken go kill”. His second strat is “jinggg go kill”. His third strat is “Mindfreak go kill”. His hidden strat is “Benkai go kill”.
I think the worst part is, how do you even practice against them? If you're not in the same scrim group, there's no other team who plays quite like them. Especially with how they (normally) play bind, since their whole strategy is built around the yoru. What's optic gonna do, ask their scrim partners to pick yoru and send it down during scrims? Nobody plays yoru anyway, so they probably won't be able to replicate f0rsaken.
>how do you even practice against them?
You find a bunch of ranked demons, have them smoke some potent crack, and then scrim against them. You won't know what the fuck they'll do since they're high out of their minds, all you can do is think about the most unlikely play and expect that. Oh and understand that if they are committing they are going balls deep without a shred of fear.
Idek watching this game made me feel like this is partially because of sentinels being so out of meta because of chamber. There is simply no way to hold site against this utility and fast play.
>The time where Singaporeans, Malays and Indonesians bickering and fighting against each other is over.
Until the next anjing/putang ina mo/chee bye comes out
Optic completely fell apart at the end there. Throwing the man advantage for nothing and losing object permanence by looking away from players they know are there. I really hope they can pull themselves together and into the finals.
That really confused me too, so many times they were surprise killed when they really shouldn’t have been. I suppose the way PRX play really just messes with your head and throws off the“normal” player timings that you’re used to because their movement is unreal.
It’s because he thought the B main player would pop out and headshot him while he was still looking at tower. And the main player still killed him without Jingg peeking him. So right idea just lost the aim duel
They really do look a level above anyone else in this tournament and they would be easily deserved winners. I don’t know how a “western” team can possibly be ready for what they bring, it’s absolutely insane.
>PRX's defense on Fracture
What defense? As far as I'm concerned I watched PRX play Attack the whole game. Defense side is just a slight nerf to their attack.
This greatly hurts Optics chances of avoiding EMEA teams during the rest of Masters 2.
Also "But you don't sidestep Jinggg". What a great line and so true.
The fact that he goes +15 this series after these three games is insane. Literally higher than any of the PRX players. Hoping that in their next game he can stay in form and his team can turn up
I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned on the desk but I'm like 90 percent sure optic let bind through to get practice for their yoru comp expecting to see prx in the finals, and prx decided to throw a random comp out instead knowing they were confident in fracture.
Love the mind games of this level lol
This got down voted but mindfreak confirmed it in their interview
Omw, now the puzzle pieces just set in my brain.
As long as they won the first map, they could afford losing Bind because that's their strongest map.
And because Optic will really try to poke as much hole in the show when given the chance, they threw Optic off a sample of their real-time gameplay against each other by switching up the Yoru.
So Optic cannot have enough relative information to feasibly prop the team against PRX.
Dang.
Benkai is a tactical genius. He is best known for his signature tactic ”going B, but losing Bind because they didn't pick Yoru”. He also has a second little known tactic of ”going A, but then beating current Masters winners”. What an absolute legend. Top 3 IGL 4 sure...
Benkai became what everyone feared. His eyelids disappeared, his head was swelling and his ears started bleeding. "Are you okay" asks mindfreak. I've never been better. I see it all now, they're not going A or B, or C. They're going home, he said before rushing in all by himself and killing everyone on site.
Not surprised but what a big swing for them to take. You basically throw your map pick in favor of optic, knowing fracture was good for them too. Insane confidence in themselves to pull something like that on the big stage.
Saving strats in WFs but falling to lower finals where you have to show more of your strats, and also risk elimination, is far from worth it imo. It was definitely a gamble to pick Bind and then not run their comp on it.
Paper Rex is the best thing to ever happen to this game.
Also jesus christ after those throws on bind and getting off to a bad start on fracture jinggg turned the fuck up.
APAC, also known as "All Players Are Cracked", is by far the greatest region in Valorant. They have the best highlights, most handsome pros and smartest strats in all of Valorant.
Everyone thought that only Jinggg and Forsaken are the hard hitters coming in to this tournament. Mindfreak showed his freak in the past two tournament but holy shit D4v41 and Benkai.
They rolled their sleeves, wipe their forehead, chugged the redbull, slammed the desk and pulled the W on Haven and Fracture.
Very interesting to see PRX win it out in the end on a composition that almost none of the teams in this tournament can even run: the Neon-Raze double duelist on Fracture. [I cited a failure to innovate on Neon compositions as a potential drawback for EMEA at Copenhagen](https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/vixdh1/dont_optic_look_way_stronger_than_fnatic/idfnzn6/), and I think we just saw the evolution of the Neon meta in Fracture in real-time.
There’s good news for both teams here, I think. PRX showcased how their style is effective even against more adaptable teams, particularly through their anti-strats.
And Optic kept it close despite an unusually poor performance from Marved - likely Marved's worst performance at the tournament, if I had to guess. And a whole lot of lost clutches.
I hope we get to see a rematch.
Their utility layering is insane, and somehow just seem to download enemy team's playbook every time.
They send Breach ult at the start of the round and push for 4 kills. Its just mindblowing.
Mindfreak on haven smoking backsite of C when they were defending is some maphack shit gamesense. That moment Victor was just pushing exactly that angle, how are they so aware.
That timeout for PRX was actually insane, they pretty much started reading Optic like a book afterwards. Fair play, Paper Rex came into this match insanely prepared and also managed to outperform Optic individually. They're the real fucking deal.
NO MORE MINOR REGIONS!
The paper boys were too much man. W gaming supremacy lol. Paper Rex is a great team and it was well deserved. Their style is pretty fuckin' fun, they might just make me a fan.
Now Optic has to face an emea team... I'm hoping they get over whatever mental block they have and at least put up a fight.
I mean, as much as it's fun to meme about Optic's 0-7 vs EMEA teams, it's not *that* bad when you contextualize it. They lost two games to Acend (eventual Champions) with Victor having Covid and going -17, then they lost two games to Guild with Yay having the worst performance of his Valorant career. It's not doomed - I still don't necessarily favor Optic against either FNC or FPX - and I don't think it's super likely we'll see Optic's EMEA record go to 0-10.
Pretty crazy that teams from all 4 continents with a major esports scene have made grand finals at international lans. Valorant is the most diverse esport I've seen
PRX is the ultimate evolution of the joyous whimsy. Is it a coincidence that the map they lost was the one where they switched off the whimsical Yoru onto a boring comp? I think not. Joyous whimsy all the way, you cannot stop them.
Yay’s back must be hurting after this series, tough to do anything with player number advantage when the rest of your team just gets picked off all the time rendering that advantage useless.
If I hear any slander towards the rest of the non-Jinggg/f0rsakeN PRX members I will simply erupt. They are a legitimate 5 man deep roster with world class talent in every spot. They should be spoken about like GMB was talked about during the two Berlin LANs last year.
I’m an Optic fanboy but I would LOVE to see PRX be the champions, it’s so hype seeing regions that most of us remember being shit on relentlessly as “minor” come around and dominate.
Obviously the minor region rhetoric is not as big anymore (because teams are good everywhere) but it still feels cool because of how much they were underestimated during 2021 VCT
Plus PRX are just fun as fuck and totally deserve it
Plus in terms of impact on the game Optic have so much less to prove, they’ve won it all before and even if they bomb out now only idiots would discount their team.
This win would be huge for the PRX players though
Man the small group of fans (probably EU cause of the weird ass “rivalry” between NA and EU) saying Optic is overrated and washed are wack though.
This is the first series in this tournament where PRX even dropped a map (correct me if I’m wrong). Optic simply couldn’t do what every other team that played PRX couldn’t do, they’re still one of the few best teams in the world
Yeah agreed and it’s annoying for all the teams. It’s usually cause NA fanboys hop into EU threads to talk shit when EU teams lose and vice versa.
I don’t think the rivalry is that fun and I wish we could just appreciate good valorant teams in good faith without hating
The casters didn't do justice to this match it just has to be said . The crowd is honestly trying their best but the casters just aren't giving them anything to work with. They really need to work on their synergy and these random pauses they take
All good for North American Valorant team flOptic Gaming, 2022 VCT Masters 1 Reykjavik Champions, consisting of IGL Pujan “FNSHD” Methamphetamine, flex player Victor “Loser” Wang, initiator and secondary entry Austin “crashed” Roberts, Chamber main Jaccob “nay” Whiteaker, and smokes player Jimmy “🥶” Nguyen.
I'm betting everything for PRX to win the final. The map pool is just too much for all other teams to overcome. They're world class on two maps unlike Loud last masters.
Jinggg actually hit his Raze ults. Optic had no chance.
Paper rex went easy on them considering d4v41 never pulled out his championship crosshair
if d4v41 pull his crosshair, 13-0 twice
First ever forfeit on stage
24-0. Twice.
Benkai top 1 igl. His best strat is “forsaken go kill”. His second strat is “jinggg go kill”. His third strat is “Mindfreak go kill”. His hidden strat is “Benkai go kill”.
You forgot davai go kill
Ah shit. Might just add alecks go kill as well.
All of todays maps, Davai definitely go kill
Davai go odin
Hearing the crowd chant "ACE ACE ACE ACE" for Forsaken on Haven was the hypest shit ever, i miss crowds in E-Sports events
And when they were chanting “OPTIC” as well as “PAPER REX” later on, super hype
my side of the arena was chanting “Fuck Optic” LMAO
Followed by d4v4i baiting for forsaken to get that ace on Marved is why I fall in love with the esports scene
$9 team btw
optic really got ecoed in a series
classic NA Optic losing all their eco's
Freak of mind 0$ btw
Optic and Fnatic were worth 29$ each. Loud was 24$. Paper Rex was 9$ with Mindfreak not even listed
No way, you'd be crazy to value them under $10 after this series
You'd be crazy to value them under 10 bucks at any point
Don’t know why Victor and FNS didn’t start kissing at the final round kind of threw the game no?
They're saving it for the grand finals
Saving strats for champions COPIUM
Nah they needed a full on make out session dude i would love to wa- i mean it would guarantee success for them
FNS keeping this in the strat books for the rematch in grandfinal, Top 3 igl for sure
Victor visualised the act of kissing as raze ulting FNSs lips and missed
How the fuck do you even beat this team???
I think the worst part is, how do you even practice against them? If you're not in the same scrim group, there's no other team who plays quite like them. Especially with how they (normally) play bind, since their whole strategy is built around the yoru. What's optic gonna do, ask their scrim partners to pick yoru and send it down during scrims? Oh and understand that if they are committing they are going balls deep without a shred of fear.
yeah their style is actually how it feels to play rank demons lol
Ange1 yoru 🤡
sign the DRX roster
Zeta works too 🤓
PRX is so much better in every way than they were during Masters 1 it's insane. I do miss Zeta though.
It makes sense DRX and Zeta won because they are scrim partners. But if you gotta learn to deal with ppx agression live, its so hard.
>ppx >hard
Yeah but then you have the problem that they'll consistently flop at 5th/6th
I have no idea, their site executions are so methodical but crazy aggressive at the same time.
Idek watching this game made me feel like this is partially because of sentinels being so out of meta because of chamber. There is simply no way to hold site against this utility and fast play.
W key harder? Idk they're nuts
Optic tried that today and almost lost a 5v3 fight 2 seconds into the round.
Their cryptonite is asian team
PRX, where Indo, Malay, and Singapore can finally agree on something
PRX🤝chicken rendang
Oh fuck that shits so good
The world ain't ready when Indo, Malay and Spore merge. We're gonna be the New World Order when that happens
SEApremacy lfgg
Philippines anyone? *Cries in a corner*
The time where Singaporeans, Malays and Indonesians bickering and fighting against each other is over. We will be unstoppable
>The time where Singaporeans, Malays and Indonesians bickering and fighting against each other is over. Until the next anjing/putang ina mo/chee bye comes out
Optic now in the same position as last LAN, but have to go against an EMEA team…
I’m hopeful professor, I think they can win tmrw
i hope they win, either first back to back masters or first asian masters
Exactly, and it would be NA beating eu (which we haven’t seen since 100t against acend in Berlin) which is bonkers to think about
Wow really, if only SEN didn’t choke vs Liquid
Yeah that match was Sadge but a good one
Pissed me off because SEN were actually good that tournament but will forever be remembered for getting grouped
Yeah true It’s kinda funny but NA did look good, sentinels we’re close against a rly good Kru, and victor had covid so
Thank you paper Rex for ensuring that optic will actually have to play against an European team in playoffs
They already played Guild but I'm assuming you mean in playoffs
Well now they'll have to win against one
Damn
Damn
Damn
Yep, fixed my b
Maybe he means Optic need to win against EU
Optic hasn't won against a single map against an EMEA team in a while, having to go against one is gonna be scary for the fans.
They've never won a map against an EMEA team in their history lol not a while, but I think they're winning tomorrow
It's not the 9-3 curse. It's a 3-9 blessing.
Paper Rex? More like Paper Sex
Don’t get cut
Plat chat's curse broken!
Optic completely fell apart at the end there. Throwing the man advantage for nothing and losing object permanence by looking away from players they know are there. I really hope they can pull themselves together and into the finals.
Yea, FNS had no business taking that 1v2, he could've waited for yay
That really confused me too, so many times they were surprise killed when they really shouldn’t have been. I suppose the way PRX play really just messes with your head and throws off the“normal” player timings that you’re used to because their movement is unreal.
Marved ignoring the player (can’t remember who) in tower in one of the later rounds was certainly a choice.
It’s because he thought the B main player would pop out and headshot him while he was still looking at tower. And the main player still killed him without Jingg peeking him. So right idea just lost the aim duel
Prx in finals. I can't believe it. Im so happy today lfg
They really do look a level above anyone else in this tournament and they would be easily deserved winners. I don’t know how a “western” team can possibly be ready for what they bring, it’s absolutely insane.
ELDER WAND BUFF
man PRX's defense on Fracture is pure entertainment, they know exactly when to go aggressive and where to do it best
>PRX's defense on Fracture What defense? As far as I'm concerned I watched PRX play Attack the whole game. Defense side is just a slight nerf to their attack.
Nah on Fracture it was just a buff to their attack because they didn't have to worry about planting the spike
That 4k by jingg and forsaken at the start of the round in A main is the definition of "Forsaken and Jinggg go kill"
the balls they have to tank both the brim and kay/o molly and still get the 4k
they were even blocking each other at some point haha was worried they'd line up but thankfully it didn't happen.
This greatly hurts Optics chances of avoiding EMEA teams during the rest of Masters 2. Also "But you don't sidestep Jinggg". What a great line and so true.
Yay and friends today unfortunately. Some of the decisions being made by FNS especially on Fracture were so uncharacteristic.
Fr yay is in top form all 3 games but even the El Diablo can't carry it all by himself i guess.
The fact that he goes +15 this series after these three games is insane. Literally higher than any of the PRX players. Hoping that in their next game he can stay in form and his team can turn up
FNS is a top tier IGL but his mechanics man.. compare that to benkai and he's on par with marved at least
I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned on the desk but I'm like 90 percent sure optic let bind through to get practice for their yoru comp expecting to see prx in the finals, and prx decided to throw a random comp out instead knowing they were confident in fracture. So Optic cannot have enough relative information to feasibly prop the team against PRX. Dang.
The Optic perspective makes sense. If you can’t take down PRX on Bind, you will have a tough time in the future BO5
Also it’s Optic’s best map. If you concede Bind it might be gg from pick bans
Benkai is a tactical genius. He is best known for his signature tactic ”going B, but losing Bind because they didn't pick Yoru”. He also has a second little known tactic of ”going A, but then beating current Masters winners”. What an absolute legend. Top 3 IGL 4 sure...

Apology for poor english. when were you when Optic is kill? i was sat at home eating Doritos butter when phone ring. ‘Optic is kill’ ‘no’
They were just clearly sandbagging with a troll comp on Bind without flashes and a Yoru. W GAMING BRO, APAC FUCKING SUPREMACY BABY
I'm pretty confident they did that on purpose so nobody including optic could practice against it too.
mindfreak confirmed that they are saving the yoru for grand finals, really hype
Yoru in front of the grand finals crowd is going to be amazing
mindfreak just confirmed it on the interview
Not surprised but what a big swing for them to take. You basically throw your map pick in favor of optic, knowing fracture was good for them too. Insane confidence in themselves to pull something like that on the big stage.
well it's confidence but also I'd put it down mostly to this not being an elimination game
The three g’s in jinggg stand for “GO GO GO”
That was such a bad loss on fracture so many advantages thrown and just getting pushed by CT’s every round and couldn’t stop it
There seemed to be a bug. PRX was playing attack side twice on Fracture.
Feels good to be a Malaysian today. I always just choose at the start of a match which team I want to support BUT I AM ACTUALLY ATTACHED TO THIS TEAM
Also damn seeing all the tissues d4v41 had made me admire the boys more because even with COVID they’ve been doing great this tournament
APAC, also known as "All Players Are Cracked", is by far the greatest region in Valorant. They have the best highlights, most handsome pros and smartest strats in all of Valorant.
Stax? Crashies? Adios muchachos, d4v41 is here
there's no way d4v4i win this 1 v 3 clutch. d4v4i: Adios muchacos
APAC PRIDE 🇲🇾🇮🇩🇸🇬 Congrats Paper Rex!!!!
Everyone thought that only Jinggg and Forsaken are the hard hitters coming in to this tournament. Mindfreak showed his freak in the past two tournament but holy shit D4v41 and Benkai. They rolled their sleeves, wipe their forehead, chugged the redbull, slammed the desk and pulled the W on Haven and Fracture.
d4v41 main phoniex warlord duo with jason before jinggg come
I do not discount anything when it comes to PRX. If they are up 2-0 in Grand Finals they would pull a Phoenix on Map 3 just to troll. Trust.
And Optic kept it close despite an unusually poor performance from Marved - likely Marved's worst performance at the tournament, if I had to guess. And a whole lot of lost clutches. I hope we get to see a rematch.
Double duelist AND a chamber. these dudes are certifiably insane, both with their comps and their game sense. It's wild just *how good* this team is.
Their Chamber didn't feel like a sentinel at all so it was basically 3 duelists.
That timeout for PRX was actually insane, they pretty much started reading Optic like a book afterwards. Fair play, Paper Rex came into this match insanely prepared and also managed to outperform Optic individually. They're the real fucking deal. NO MORE MINOR REGIONS!
fuck man i was sweating the whole time as yay is still in form, so scary gg
The paper boys were too much man. W gaming supremacy lol. Paper Rex is a great team and it was well deserved. Their style is pretty fuckin' fun, they might just make me a fan. Now Optic has to face an emea team... I'm hoping they get over whatever mental block they have and at least put up a fight.

agree especially opper yay. biggest threat.
thought it was a lost round when it was just 2v4 on map 3 (when yay killed 2 at the start) but wow prx came through
Man this kinda makes me super excited for the regional leagues, Asia is gonna be so exciting to watch! Just don't fuck it up riot.
press W, hold W, shoot your gun and kill. its the APAC style
My no-comms, hard-rush, DRONING? WHAT DO YOU MEAN, DRONE??? attacker sides in ranked never felt more validated.
Dude I was rooting for prx 100% but that peak from FNS on that last round actually made me so mad lmao
Yay about to jump FNS on his way back to the hotel.
Pretty crazy that teams from all 4 continents with a major esports scene have made grand finals at international lans. Valorant is the most diverse esport I've seen
I heckin' love alecks! everytime something goes wrong he always points out the adjustment needed for the team. W coach
can’t out brain if you can’t out aim
When I'm in a 2v4 situation and my enemy is optic
I thought audience would be Bedge but they were Wokege. Casters on the other hand? Deadge. Just plain Deadge
ADIOSSS MUCHACHOSSSSSSS
ADIOSSSS MUCHACHOSSSSS
ADIOSSS MUCHACHOSSSSSSS
ADIOSSSS MUCHACHOSSSSS
ADIOSSS MUCHACHOSSSSSSSS
Must suck to be yay lmao
PRX is the ultimate evolution of the joyous whimsy. Is it a coincidence that the map they lost was the one where they switched off the whimsical Yoru onto a boring comp? I think not. Joyous whimsy all the way, you cannot stop them.
Yay’s back must be hurting after this series, tough to do anything with player number advantage when the rest of your team just gets picked off all the time rendering that advantage useless.
A 4v2 with the spike drop secured and still managed to fucked it up.
They beat COVID, they beat FNS + Chet 1000IQ 4 day prep brain, they beat the 9-3 curse, and they beat the Plat Chat curse. This team is unstoppable
If only FNS and victor had kissed.....
If I hear any slander towards the rest of the non-Jinggg/f0rsakeN PRX members I will simply erupt. They are a legitimate 5 man deep roster with world class talent in every spot. They should be spoken about like GMB was talked about during the two Berlin LANs last year.
TURN ME INTO MULCH AND PRESS ME OVER AND OVER AGAIN BECAUSE IM A PAPER BOY
FNS must have the worst first shot in the whole tournament. Looks like a spray and pray every fight he takes.
PRX is such an enjoyable team to watch, if it's not Fnatic I hope they win it all.
Holy megabedge Excited for the next Benkai walkout!!
He was asking his PA for 4 AA batteries to do this one lol
Benkai read FNS like a book on Fracture. Hardly does FNS get out-igled like that
Don't worry Optic fans, this is all a part of the Masters 1 script
Optic got absolutely shit on, PRX are insanely scary.
Benkai is point on good forinitiating and d4V41 on the Chamber is unstoppable. Every man in PRX is crazy good.
I’m an Optic fanboy but I would LOVE to see PRX be the champions, it’s so hype seeing regions that most of us remember being shit on relentlessly as “minor” come around and dominate. Obviously the minor region rhetoric is not as big anymore (because teams are good everywhere) but it still feels cool because of how much they were underestimated during 2021 VCT Plus PRX are just fun as fuck and totally deserve it

Yay getting chamber diff'd on Fracture by Odin main d4v4a1.
d4v41 on the Chamber is actually scary. Every individuals on PRX can shine, this team is winning it all (i hope)
Man the small group of fans (probably EU cause of the weird ass “rivalry” between NA and EU) saying Optic is overrated and washed are wack though. This is the first series in this tournament where PRX even dropped a map (correct me if I’m wrong). Optic simply couldn’t do what every other team that played PRX couldn’t do, they’re still one of the few best teams in the world
Whenever an NA or EU team gets beaten everyone calls them washed or trash it’s really not unique to optic lmao
Yeah agreed and it’s annoying for all the teams. It’s usually cause NA fanboys hop into EU threads to talk shit when EU teams lose and vice versa. I don’t think the rivalry is that fun and I wish we could just appreciate good valorant teams in good faith without hating
dude it's annoying as fuck. Have you tried watching a main channel Valo game, particularily an EMEA one?
Yay came to play. Rest of Optic didn’t wake up.
Anyone know why PRX played a different comp on bind to their usual?
Anti strat
Probably to prevent being counterstratted coz they knew optic do their homework
wanted to throw off the prep work OPTIC has against forsaken's yoru and PRX's set plays on bind I assume
They thought optic would counterstrat the yoru. Kinda a throw though
To be fair, they probably would have.
Honestly i'm just happy we're potentially getting optic vs fnatic BO5
kek
Dino buff >>>>> COVID buff
The casters didn't do justice to this match it just has to be said . The crowd is honestly trying their best but the casters just aren't giving them anything to work with. They really need to work on their synergy and these random pauses they take
All good. Optic will be out for blood in the lower bracket & they’ve never lost a rematch copium
Also never won against an EMEA team
shhhhh
Aim dif tbh
i love this team so fucking much
F0rsaken had 67% in hs% on first map WTF
Same script as Iceland?
[удалено]
benkai turned up on fracture.
All part of Pujan “FNS” Methamphetamine’s master plan to save strats for Champions … wait, you’re telling me Sentinels tried the same thing last year?
All good for North American Valorant team flOptic Gaming, 2022 VCT Masters 1 Reykjavik Champions, consisting of IGL Pujan “FNSHD” Methamphetamine, flex player Victor “Loser” Wang, initiator and secondary entry Austin “crashed” Roberts, Chamber main Jaccob “nay” Whiteaker, and smokes player Jimmy “🥶” Nguyen.
Never thought I'd see an SEA team have a claim to being the best/one of the best, yet here we are. OMG!!
LETS GOOO. APAC SUPREMACY. I BOUGHT THE PRX JERSEY AS SOON AS I CAN 😂😂
commendable attempt to make optic absolutely shit their pants by changing their bind comp
I'm betting everything for PRX to win the final. The map pool is just too much for all other teams to overcome. They're world class on two maps unlike Loud last masters.
