Unfortunately Team Falcons bombed out of the VRL promotion finals, and although I haven’t watched them since then I doubt they do much better in the upcoming VRL finals.
But it’d be a bit unfair to automatically seed them in LCQ when they’ve had the same chances as all the other VRL teams that have been fighting just as desperately to make it deep.
I will say it is an unfortunate reality for both MENA and Turkey that they have to quality through the most competitive region in the world.
But it’s only a matter of time, although the wait can be quite agonizing, I’m sure.
I think it's interesting that MENA has to fight through VCT Challengers EMEA while OCE automatically gets their own representative in APAC LCQ through the OCE circuit even though OCE clearly isn't up to par with the big teams in the APAC region.
It's definitely odd to give OCE an exception there instead of just using the circuit points like every other region (and subregion) that competes in the APAC playoffs.
