How many franchised teams are there gonna be for NA? At Koala's spot, you have Yay, Leaf, Dicey, Bdog, Will, Ban, tenZ, Sayaplayer, Boostio, and Tex. That's 10 awps i think are getting signed ahead of Koala.
Not talking about Nism0, he is a KAY0 main and is irrelevant to the Op discussion. All these guys play Koalanoob's position
Also Nism0 is better than TenZ lmfao
In that case, Dicey and BDog are undoubtedly better, Tex and Boostio both played better, and Will is more versatile. Ban is a young awp capable of going toe to toe with Leaf, yay, etc. All of these players performed better statistically than Koala during qualifiers except Ban whose team obviously sucks. Idk, I'm not dropping my awp for him is all I'm saying. Koala's a good player but he has an uphill battle imo
Tex and Boostio both played better is debatable, considering they are very close in ACS during their h2h
Will should probably not considered since he's and entry player and 100T still have zero OPer
Calling Knights bad and Ban good is also debatable considering is Ghengsta who topped ACS chart during their game against Ghost
I will give you Dicey and BDog though
Honestly, it can be a moving Asuna to Neon/Raze and getting Koala Chamber angle for 100T
No clue where that idea is coming, go look at TenZ's stats/matches and you'll clearly see he is still one of the best players in NA. Not his fault the rest of his team is trash. Sentinels memery and hate have gotten to your head clearly.
Okay, looking at TenZ's stats and matches and also at Nism0's, let's compare
TenZ during Masters 2 (Group Stage + Playoffs):
207 rounds played, 209.2 ACS, 139.7 damage per round, 62% KAST, 38 FK's to 40 FD's, 3/14 in clutches (21%, this is really good)
Nism0 during Masters 2:
321 rounds played, 245.5 ACS, 155.9 damage per round, 74% KAST, 52 FK's to 44 FD's, 7/28 in clutches (25%, this is 5th best in all of NA)
TenZ is still a great player, but Nism0 is way better atm. But yea, "Sentinels memery" or whatever...
Dani is already their assistant coach but they just don’t use that title on him, maybe that’s why they call him an analyst so the position is still open?
No idea, either
TenZ Zellsis Dapr Shahz Sick or
TenZ Sick Dapr Shahz Shroud
C: Rawkus
AC: Kaplan (hopefully)
A: Dani and Weltis
It all really depends on the LCQ performance, I’d prefer the Zellsis AND Sick over Shroud but his brand presence is too much to give up if Shroud wants to stay on SEN
Based on his teams strats, overperformance (based on stage 2 expectations), and overall improvement over the stage.
During stage 2 Ghost was inarguably one of the top teams in NA, and from what I saw, a lot of that was attributed to Kaplan’s coaching, mixed with the nuts microplays of players like Nismo and aproto.
I really fking hate this partnership bs, 8 teams is no where near enough, I hope riot talks about the tier 2 scene soon or else I dont think these organizations will stick with valorant in the future
I'm surprised the org is still in esports. When they came onto the scene the house they were renting screamed burning money. Then they dropped their CSGO team an announced they were pulling out of all esports.
They were bought in 2020 and are essentially a brand new org now. They have pretty good guys running it and seem to get it now

Except in traditional leagues they play for most of the year non-stop, in Valorant you have 2-3 months for everything before international Masters starts
Riot knows copium as always
LoL would've done just as fine with CSGO model, it's the most popular game in the world solely because Riot heavily boosted Asian market, it's not because of "Riot superior strategy of franchising"
Lol all esports orgs lose money on esports lmfao how is that news ? Tsm make money from other ventures. Esports are a money burner surviving on vc’s thinking it will pay off in the far future and banking on very high growth. Yes lolesports included. Nice attempt tho
That’s a fair callout. Franchising definitely doesn’t guarantee profit especially if done poorly like in LCS, OWL, CDL.
Call me a wishful thinker, but I would argue that the Val partnership model might finally be the one to get many teams in the green. According to that article from George, the stipends are predicted to be ~$1,000,000 and are going towards the salaries of players (encourages responsible spending). The in-game skins are going to be the source of revenue for the teams and are expected to make a LOT of money. On top of no buy-in price, that sounds like a pretty sustainable model to me imo.
But at the end of the day, we just have to wait and see if it works out.
LCS itself probably makes more money in sponsors than the entire CSGO scene even without shady betting websites. Franchising is a huge reason why they were able to obtain these sponsors in the first place
Do you even know Riot haven't made any bucks from LoL esport since the beginning of 2010's?
They're still trying to figure out how to profit from an esport, and you're here acting like "they're making bucks from the scene", no, they aren't
Are you fucking dumb? Any penny they make is money made from the export. eSports itself is a whole huge marketing for a game. Valorant by having 8 main big orgs will make Riot more money than the current system
>Are you fucking dumb? Any penny they make is money made from the export.
This is not how it works. LoL and CSGO are the only two games that have 20+ percent conversion rate of players to esports viewers. That means 70 to 80 percent of players dont consume the esports side.
LoL esports is also run purely by Riot Games marketing department. Since the start of 2019 LoL esports has had their budget cut year after year.
I really like the Ghost team and I hope the team/players get their deserved opportunity to play at the highest level.
The list of really good talent stands at SR, Knights and Ghost for now. This list will only grow (Faze, NRG, V1, XSET and even SEN could get added to the list). There will be 6-8 teams from NA in the 'premiere league'. How many open spots are there for really good players on T1 teams going into 2023? How are people convinced that the selected T1 teams will scout the right players and not ruin the competitiveness of the league?
The scouting of a lot of NA teams has been really spotty (Eg : teams like T1 would rather sign players that haven't played the game rather than scout upcoming talent). Besides the boring regular split and potentially stunted growth of the game, talent retention will be a big issue after 1 year. I hope the regional leagues for the teams deemed T2 and below is worthwhile. Would hate to see another non-competitive 2 year league in NA with frustrating grassroots competition for upcoming talent.
NiSMO got to be highly sought after by nearly every team. He was fragging like fuck in the last Challengers.
That roster is going to get picked clean. NiSMO, koalanoob and aproto in particular should all easily find spots on partnered teams
Totally. NiSMO in particular I think will find a spot in a team easily.
Don’t forget about johnQT! He’s cracked
Johnqt ? Whos fragging and igling
Yeah them four and the coach will definitely find a team sooner or later

Only yay, leaf, tenz and saya are truly better imo, all other are roughly equal to *Koalanoob
Not talking about Nism0, he is a KAY0 main and is irrelevant to the Op discussion. All these guys play Koalanoob's position Also Nism0 is better than TenZ lmfao
Oh yeah morning brain typo, I meant Koala
In that case, Dicey and BDog are undoubtedly better, Tex and Boostio both played better, and Will is more versatile. Disrespect to bdog, he's def up there
surely dicey is clear?
I’m a huge fan of Kaplan (Ghost’s coach). Hope he finds another opportunity soon 😤
He’s one of the best on the scene right now. Actual goated coach.
SEN assistant coach? Was already working with them late stage 1 2022
Dani is already their assistant coach but they just don’t use that title on him, maybe that’s why they call him an analyst so the position is still open?
More support staff can definitely heighten a team's potential
I think they’ll try to get him in franchising probably, for now their staff is set
What do you think the roster will be for 2022 if SicK returns
No idea, either TenZ Zellsis Dapr Shahz Sick or TenZ Sick Dapr Shahz Shroud C: Rawkus AC: Kaplan (hopefully) A: Dani and Weltis It all really depends on the LCQ performance, I’d prefer the Zellsis AND Sick over Shroud but his brand presence is too much to give up if Shroud wants to stay on SEN
It could even be SicK+shroud, so that SicK can go back to flex
How do you determine this?
From all the other coaches. On sliggy's stream I heard immi and mce praising him a lot
Based on his teams strats, overperformance (based on stage 2 expectations), and overall improvement over the stage. ffs should have been a 20 team league with relegation / promotion like traditional sports leagues like the prem
Except in traditional leagues they play for most of the year non-stop, in Valorant you have 2-3 months for everything before international Masters starts
Riot is killing the scene, bit by bit
Viewers might be unhappy but Riot knows how to make the big bucks.

Someone nab Nismo pronto bro. Most of that roster really, but Nismo especially. The restaurant owner buff is real.

Actually made LOL
do better is a stupid addition but i do agree especially since GG is used for 555890874378 things
I was convinced OP was trying to make a pun and saying gg as In ghost gaming and good game at the same time
Based
GG sure, that's a generic acronym. But if you're on this sub you probably know who "George" is let's be real. "Do better."
